Mario Musou has been one of those things that's been on my shortlist of "yeah, it's probably next on the docket..." when it comes to Nintendo Musou games. An effective way of having a Mario (spinoff) release for the year, and also another surefire Musou hit that could rival AoC in sales potential.

I just really hope the "Mario Brand Management" team let Koei do some deep dives. Assuming the Wario (Land) and DK (Country) casts are fair game, you'd have roster potential that could put Koei's mainstream games to shame!

As a lover of the SNES era aesthetic the most, I'd love it if puppets/practical effects became the dominant "aesthetic" for Star Fox, again. Not only to be a great homage to what the series owes its creation to, but just because it was so unique for what was supposed to be a sci-fi serial drama series.

I've been playing the online recently and really enjoying it. But I do agree. I miss Tourney mode so much.

Imagine little me super excited for the next big console 3D Mario to follow Galaxy and getting… that. Yeah. A sequel to 3D Land which I liked on its own but it was portable, so I didn’t EXPECT it to have the grandeur of Galaxy. I tried to find reasons to be hyped (like hisstocrat at being a unique boss unlike Boom Boom and Pom Pom in 3D Land!) but I couldn’t hide my disappointment.

Second trailer was way better

Also I can't believe I'm saying this because most of the reason I come to Famiboards is for shitposting and ridiculousness, but I think it actually has been helpful to have an official, separate Direct Speculation thread so that the legit Direct talk doesn't get buried by the shitposts and vice versa. Helps me to focus on the conversation while otherwise it might be like when you're out with friends trying to listen to two conversations simultaneously (if General Discussion also housed Direct talk).

So my thanks to the illustrious hypester with the lustrous coat for hosting this madness. I know it ended up smaller than you initially intended but I think it ended up damn well near perfect. Like Michelangelo chipping away at what he started with so we could end up with the David. Would be proud to have you as our captain again come E3 times.
 
I'd much rather get Xenoblade Chornicles X2 than a port, but if that's what it takes for Nintendo and the populace to see the light and get a sequel greenlit, then I am willing to sacrifice myself and wait 5+ more years

Xenoblade Chronicles X was the only game's text I had trouble reading. Sooooo bad but an easy fix for an expanded port.

But I'm excited knowing we're potentially a few hours away from a Direct announcement.

The E3 Direct 2014 is an all time great. I literally went out and bought a WiiU the next day because of it. It felt like Nintendo was on the cusp of turning things around. In hindsight, I think Nintendo realized the WiiU was done when not even Smash could spark huge console sales and Zelda had to be delayed. That led to the infamous 2015 E3 direct. To think that Zelda was originally dated for 2015.

It wouldn't happen but what I'd love is for them to pull a Bayonetta and say "well since current Nintendo owners probably missed the first game, let's pack a port of it in with the sequel."

Well, actually, a remaster / port of the game would help me A LOT to start my youtube channel.

I intend to talk about games that I hated but still liked and I have already more than a dozen games in that list.

The only way for me to replay this game is with lots and lots of QoL features.

It really would suit the franchise, and it would feel pretty unique in the industry as a whole.

I'm pretty sure X was a one off.

It's interesting getting to see a black sheep of a new franchise happen in real time, missed most of those due to not being old enough, but I think the fact that X de-prioritised story for making a big map doomed it.

Ok so it’s not just me who hates the texture of melted vegan cheese. It’s like WAY too gooey and it almost sticks to your teeth. Plus that weird coconut after taste.

the market has taken huge strides but yeah it's not ideal

in general it ought to be used sparingly, too often it's treated with the bombast usually afforded to real low moisture mozz

11/10 hype for that game. Like if that was a new game by them announced today I’d still be equally super excited for that today.

Xenoblade X was a messy masterpiece and I want it on Switch asap. Don’t have to change a thing, any improvements/additions would all just be welcome bonuses. Really hope we get a sequel if Xenoblade 3 wraps up the storyline (that I thought both the original and then 2 had wrapped up lol).

It literally ended in a cliffhanger though. It might end up as a one off, but that was certainly not the intent going into it. I demand closure! I don't think it sold that much worse than the first one so it'd be a shame if the Wii U doomed it
 
Can't believe we're gonna see Everybody Switch or Xenoblade Chronicles 3 but definitely not both
