But that was the Star Fox logo, not the Kid Icarus logo...

What you've just seen is the latest instalment in Star Fox series, Star Fox One. The game is scheduled to launch in early 2023 so it will be a while, we hope you will stay tuned for more information at a later time.
In the mean time, we are rereleasing Star Fox Zero for switch with button controls and optional motion controls

I would play a Star Fox game if it finally did something new/interesting and wasn't just Star Fox 64 Again, Sorta

cannot believe people want a new Star Fox when we've had new Star Fox games sprinkled over the past 20 years and most of them have been "just ok" to "bad"

you're like sonic fans lmao

Give F-Zero a chance to disappoint!!

I just realized I accidentally voted "March 9/10" this whole time even though I've been saying Feb 9th since November lmaooo.

Star Fox is the franchise revival we don't need but the one we deserve

Starfox Grand-Prix is real DAMMIT

In all seriousness, I can't keep up with the 20 pages I've missed in this thread. What's going on in here, fam? Fill me in. Give it to me quick and dirty.

Between that and the Robot Chicken skits of 2014, that was peak fun Direct stuff.
Well I miss these, Bill eating donuts, Bill gets fired, Reggie speaking japanese, Bill eating donuts once again and getting deported to deserted island, Miyamoto and Iwata with year of Luigi. It's so much.

They have "revived" Star Fox like 4 times!!!! They revived it with a kinda bad adventure game, they revived it after that with "return to form" Star Fox Assault (which I actually kinda liked) then they revived it when people didn't really like that with Star Fox 64 3D and then they revived it again with zero which was bad

how many times can you beat a dead, stinky horse

What do you mean that people didn't like Star Fox 64 3D? It was a generally well regarded remake, no?

All of them were dead on arrival, they have to try again

The main thing keeping Star Fox alive at this point is the same thing actively holding it back: Shigeru Miyamoto
that was literally THE one I didn't say people didn't like. It was good! But it was literally just Star Fox 64 again

Oh sorry, I misread your post.

I think he meant Starfox Command. It was ok, but not people expected. and it controlled awfully.

Derachi is right, there's no audience for Starfox. Japan even straight up don't care for it at all. Reviving it one more time is waste of money and resources. Hell there is no longer an audience even for Rogue Squadron.

But realistically which has more chance to appear before Switch gen is over: Pikmin 4 or new Star Fox game? One of these is almost done since 2015 and one had a few prototypes according to insiders.
I think we'll see both of these before the Switch gen is over.

Nintendo, in their press-release footer copy, list Pikmin as one of the series they're responsible for, showing the world they're proud of it. They have a mobile game, they hid Pikmin all around their theme park. They love Pikmin. We will absolutely eventually see Pikmin 4.

I think that for this Direct we all need Devil's Third.
First because is a Wii U exclusive that most people didn't play because is awful.
Second because I need a new copy to make company to Wii U one.

And not to mention that Pikmin 3 Deluxe has already become the best selling Pikmin game, being its first 2 million seller and showing that there is mostly certainly a dedicated audience for this series.

I was told there is chaos in this thread.
Well I don't want chaos, I want the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy on the Switch.
