Last month was a Partners direct not a general direct.Direct just did it last month.
A new thread already?

Ahh another speculation thread, let's see how soon the next Direct will be.
Hoping April instead waiting all the way until June.
Just to reeeaaaally show the patterns who's bossHope we get another Partner Showcase in April. Just for fun
They aren't saving software for Switch 2, they're saving system selling software for it. This doesn't include Metroid or Fire Emblem, and maybe not DK either. If they are saving software for Switch 2 then I think they don’t really need to release that much for the end of the year. Maybe the Zelda ports. Switch doesn’t need a big holiday game. It’s got enough evergreens to carry it over.
Not to mention Engage, an actual new entry, only got four months from its official announcement to release. A threeish month time for FE4R is totally reasonable as a potential timeframeThree Houses was a July launch and being a remake I don't think needs a huge marketing window. I do expect it for very late July, hence why i think they would keep something low key for August.
It never stops.Direct just did it last month.

They are the only ones I'm fluent in.Direct Speculation threads are the only ones I’m consistent in
Nintendo is NOT going a holiday season without a new Switch exclusiveIf they are saving software for Switch 2 then I think they don’t really need to release that much for the end of the year. Maybe the Zelda ports. Switch doesn’t need a big holiday game. It’s got enough evergreens to carry it over.
Mario Wave RaceSeeing as I'm launching this thread on Mario Day, if we do indeed get a Mario sports game in this next direct, what sport will it be?
While it was "only" a spin-off, Three Hopes was given the exact same treatment. (Or rather, Engage was given the Three Hopes treatment?) Three Hopes was announced in February and released in June. Not to mention Engage, an actual new entry, only got four months from its official announcement to release.
Definitely. I say they do what Three Hopes and Unicorn Overlord have done - Announcement Trailer (April), reminder trailer (May), gameplay teaser information* (June), and then demo drop (early-to-mid July, roughly two weeks before the game releases). Alternatively, they could do an announcement trailer in the next Direct, the teaser stuff in May and early June, and then the Demo is a shadow-drop during the June Direct.A threeish month time for FE4R is totally reasonable as a potential timeframe
People trusted the process and manifested TTYD remake. Is this the direct where trusting the process finally pays dividends?
SLIPPING THROUGH MY FINGEERSABBA intensifies
The Process is manifesting so many things, that someone will always be disappointed (Mother 3, Kid Icarus, Zelda Remasters, Prime)People trusted the process and manifested TTYD remake.
People will trust the process once again and manifest Kid Icarus Uprising remake
It’d be funny if it kept working but not for Metroid, also very sad
Kinda forgot that (on the Japanese side at least; international peeps stay losing) both W3H and Engage had rather regular tweet updates after the... first month post announcement? They definitely could repeat that (but I hope they make a more concerted effort on the international side, getting to learn the FE4 cast for the first time localised would be something to behold if not limited to Japan)While it was "only" a spin-off, Three Hopes was given the exact same treatment. For an added bonus, make the demo about Sigurd, Edigan, and Quan during their school days. (This is also the perfect place to introduce an Avatar or Player Character, if there's going to be one.)
are we back?
Samus will be back ... in Metroid Zero Mission, available now on Nintendo Switch Online+Expansion Pack - GBAReally hope Samus' will be back this time...
April 10th, book it. That would be right before my exam weekHere's my specualtion
April 3rd. Maybe April 10th. Outside chance, April 17th.
See y'all next month.
I think this is what we're looking at. An April Direct put together fairly late in the day for Switch stuff for the rest of the year, they maybe drop a "We are working on new hardware" with maybe a logo at most in the summer, then no usual June Direct with a proper reveal in September before another blowout in January as per 2017.Personally, I'm not sure about there being both an April and a June Direct. If the system isn't dropping until next March, then having a full Direct dedicated to mostly Switch 2 stuff in June seems a little weird. Part of me thinks they'll just have the one Direct sometime before mid-June and just show the system as the "one last thing" at the very end, so third parties are able to throw the Switch 2 logo into the end of their trailers during Summer Games Fest.
This is something I've been thinking about but the only thing that's holding me back is that possibly means there's a larger gap between July and October than we all think since August would probably only allow for them to detail an October and/or November game! Though, I also think a shadowdrop in an August Direct would also work to provide some content between those months, especially with an earlier August Direct!if we already had a partner direct just recently and we know (first party) games coming up until june, why wouldn't an august direct make more sense than april~may?
oh, yeah... a direct....Suiting up for the Direct recording, Mr. Koizumi erm Zumikoi?
