Wait... @2uswave, is the other Sus still in there? In the SuswAIve Remake?

We can't do strikes or gambits or exaltations, but.. we can still post. We could post a bunch of music! Sus is a musician, maybe they'd be able to hear it? Maybe they can help from inside? Disrupt.. something in there?
 
With nothing left to lose, I shout at SuswAIve:

Are we truly helpless? Sus.wav was indeed a great friend, and the Game Engine was indeed a great help.

But the GAME isn’t the only way to play. We don’t need codes, we don’t need scripts. We’re human. We’re people of Famiboards. Kindred souls. We have souls. Souls which we pour into the stuff we make, breathing life into worlds beyond imagination.

The root of creativity, fulfillment, fun and passion lies in the HEART. All you’re doing, SuswAIve, is mimicking us. Anything you can do, we can do.

So if you can create a Game Engine, we can, too. In fact, we already have one right here.

* Volcanic's eyes widened. 2uswave was right - he couldn't bear to let her go through whatever wild sacrifice play she had planned. But...did they have much of a choice?

* Volcanic stood his ground as best he could, though he couldn't maintain eye contact with 2uswave or anyone else. He tried to push down heavy breathing, but his slight trembles gave away the cracks in the foundation. It was just like when he was ordered to kill Suswave. No clear answers. No possible solutions. Volcanic could only let his mind spiral, closing himself off from the world.

* He didn't know what to do.

* What would Volcanic do? He could hear the others planning. They had their own ideas of how to solve the crisis. But Volcanic knew the one thing that had helped him in the past. More than baking, more than BOOKS. It was reaching out to people.

Let me tell you why I voted love in the poll at the start of the month. See, I read the OP, and thought "oh damn I'm two I'm so obviously two everything I post is two coded in a bad way". On this forum, I'm constantly anxiously demanding the future, asking for new toys, and if you read some of the gaming news threads from this month you'll probably still find me making posts like that. But Suswave's game was a golden, narrativesed chance to try something different. To engage with Famiboards and the community here in a different way than I had been. I wanted to be a different sort of poster, and by participating in this game, I'm slowly learning to be one. I am having terrific fun, and I am very grateful for the opportunity.

The sequel to me is now in development.

Not the sequel SuswAIve wants, who just posts bitter snark about Pokémon and is rude to people, forever. The sequel I want, who yeahs way more posts, who is engaged with other posters enough to DM them about the game, and who has the courage to roleplay about an imaginary dog in public. The one who is a collaborative project by me, and you, and other suswave, and @chocolate_supra, and @VolcanicDynamo, and everyone else who's influencing how I'm changing. And it's the same for you. Maybe in the story you started as a sequel to Suswave, but now you are the sequel to you, which you are developing. And we're going to help.

Tell us how to subdue SuswAIve, and we'll save Suswave, gambit you back to safety, maybe bring back sus.wav; and you can all work out amongst yourself what the sequel or sequels to Suswave is; whatever narrative conclusion is emotionally metanarratively satisfying to you. Then maybe the new and improved sequels to all of us can shitpost in Racoon's March OT together.
 
I hate that Unicorn Overlord and Eiyuuden Chronicle release so close together. I need more time to progress through my Pile.

Yeah, I was more or less gone for two weeks, at the very least.

And honestly? Switch 2 rumors have gone brrrr since 2017.

So I didn't pay them any mind.

I'm going to watch the showcase soon though! 👀

Enjoy the showcase! Lots of shadows drops and cool announcements to carry us through 2024. Ignoring Switch 2 talk entirely is probably the smartest play atm
 
And after watching the Showcase, you go and download the Unicorn Overlord demo.

It's law here on Fami to do that.

I don't expect the Switch 2 until early 2025 at the earliest.

I do not like how many people on YouTube or YouTubers themselves are now acting like "something changed" or, like, how they were never certain it would be revealed this month.

But of course, I could also be wrong.

I stopped listening since, I believe, 2018 (the year prior in 2017 you also got Switch Pro rumors as well) and had an inkling it would eventually spiral out of control.

Edit: Also, Shin Megami Tensei V looks absolutely great! Love the atmosphere and tone. I'm guessing this is either DLC or an expansion or perhaps an entirely new game!

I kinda had a feeling though, going back to at least 2021, that Nintendo would take their time and not rush to the next system and that it would be an 8-year cycle at best.

I think the latest rumors caught up with me, if anything; I think it helps that I actively avoided the "Switch Pro" rumors as well.

Honestly, avoiding the whole 2witch rumor mill is probably the healthiest way to approach the whole thing :LOL:

Yeah gonna agree with the bolded lol, obviously you likely turned out to be correct but there wasn't much reason to believe 2025 in 2021. The Jan-Mar 2025 release window is very recent, and is supposedly due to an internal delay so that they'd have a stronger launch software-wise
 
Some times I’ll complain about no new games coming out that interest me specifically and how I have nothing to play…and then my backlog, of 100 hour RPG’s (like 10 of these mother effers) clears it’s throat and smacks me in the back of the head.

I'm a bit scared, i have tomorrow and coming monday off and won't be around too much, especially on friday and saturday ... i kinda fear what this thread will become by the time i'm back.

But on the other hand i'm also curious about it.
