Endless ocean would be a disappointing result to that tweet tease despite being a good game. Wind waker, Twilight princess, F-Zero GX, Fire Emblem GC, Battalion Wars, Geist (Dont @ me), Luigi's Mansion, Star Fox Adventures/Assault, Mario Baseball, are all games that need the remake treatment.

Plus endless ocean is a Wii game. Why say "Dolphin" if Endless ocean is the tease? Thats weird and borderline a bad hint. I think its a gamecube game.

My prediction is its one of the following:

Windwaker/TP combo in partnership with....uh..idk ganon...
Star Fox Assault in partnership with Namco
F-zero GX in partnership with Sega

because Endless Ocean is actually the only games among those that HAVE dolphins?

Look, second-string franchises like Zelda and Fire Emblem are just going to have to wait their turn.

yes, and we all can agree that Endless Ocean makes even more sense, if we consider that this game actually have dolphin as part of the very same contents of the game, right?

no? I've actually played both back in the days lol
and I'd prefer other old games to be ported or..even...NEW GAMES!
but the same leaker told us about the Partners Showcase, about GameFreak being there, about Nintendo being there with dolphins, also told us he wasn't excited about the presentation

I hope to disagree with him but still..

Gamecube remasters is all hope and cope. It's obviously Endless Ocean. You all constantly set yourself up for disappointment and then blame the leakers. It's why they get frustrated and leave.

Wait did you yahoots really will endless ocean back into existence, I thought people here were trolling about it but did you guys actually like that series????
 
Endless Ocean in a partner direct is an interesting choice. I wonder if it's a case of Nintendo licensing out the IP in the same way they did with Cruis'n and Picross?
 
I think an anthology re-release is likeliest but a new game would be neat. I was always interested in them back in the day but never got around to them due to being a cash poor teenager then undergrad. They really should have gone all out and got David Attenborough to narrate the Endless Ocean games, though.

Also, for all of the whining that Endless Ocean will provoke: suck it up. Nintendo aren't exactly skimping on their re-releases of better known games, or the games being noisily demanded.

honestly "Pokemon Snap but scuba diving" probably isn't an awful comparison. Key differences are it's 3rd person and you're not on rails (and obviously there's markedly less Pikachu)

But basically you go diving in various locations, exploring and generally gathering info about various undersea life. IIRC the first game never put you in any kind of real danger, while the sequel did have some animals that could attack you and you'd need to escape from them

I think Dave the Diver is more game-y. It's a business sim too. Kinda like those dungeon crawlers where you go back to overworld and sell the stuff you get.

I don't know how game-ified Endless Ocean is, or if it's more just a simulation.
