I can see Nintendo taking the planned partner mini and expanding it to a general mini. Perhaps throwing in Prime 4 or the FE4 remake to calm people down.

I would like to think that it should have been a partner and now that the Switch 2 comes out in 2025 it’s a general with some first party announcements to calm everyone a little. But my guess is very unlikely.

I'm at like 50% option 1, 45% option 2, 5% option 3. I think he might be hinting at a Warrior game or Cadence of Hyrule-type game or maybe just trying to whip up a frenzy on Twitter.
 
It could also be that Nintendo is just announcing a game in the next two weeks separate from the Direct and they just uploaded it to the eShop today for preordering.

Pyoro may not be able to easily tell if a game uploaded to the eShop backend is for a Direct or not.

theres always the possibility that hes privy to some new information now, if the theory about the direct's contents changing is accurate
 
If the theory that Pyoro gets their info from the eshop backend is true, then they wouldn’t actually know if this upcoming Direct was a partner/mini/etc - they would only know about specific game announcements when they are added.

So in theory, Nintendo may have postponed the planned Partner Direct last week as part of their strategy shakeup in conjunction with the Switch 2 delay and reconfigured the info into a different type of announcement/Direct.
 
People are joking here, but if Nintendo is moving the switch 2 to next year the first party lineup would have completely changed. Why couldn’t they just fill us in on what happening from now to June with some other neat surprises sprinkled in?

I'd question their dev roadmaps if they would manage to surprise announce new game(s) for Switch 1 with a short announcement to release window, yet unable to "keep" their original Switch 2 launch because of software problems.

Or plans changed. We literally know they did between the direct being delayed by Microsofts thing and the reports of the Switch 2 being delayed.

Or maybe Pyoro is like most of Fami and hates Fire Emblem :p

Wouldn’t the backend make them see the publisher/developer?
 
Pyoro tweeting now obviously means direct imminent.

But when it was supposed to be last week he didn't know anything about it, so i doubt it could've been delayed due to the Xbox thing in short notice. Not sure tho lol

The pessismist in me doesn't see them making big changes to the Direct, because it usually comes with some work that might not be done within less than a week.

I still think the reasoning that the Switch 2 is seemingly being delayed due to software delay is largely speculation from VGC/Eurogamer.

Hear me out, they made 2 directs, a partner for if things go as planned and a bigger direct in the event they delay Switch 2. I know this didn't happen, but I'm gonna pretend it did.

We shouldn't clog this thread with that topic, but if it's not software, can it really be production?

While we don't know if mass production has started, it sure didn't run over Lunar New Year, so assuming mass production didn't start yet, what problems could come up that they have to completely delay the launch this far out? Wouldn't they have to at least start the mass production to actually see where problems could occur and in what capacity?

The leaked day is the 21st. Either it’s announced tomorrow for a Wednesday show or it is shadowdropped on Wednesday.

Today is a US holiday and Thursday is Side Order.
 
IS is the "mythical" 2nd party. They're third party, but only develop for Nintendo, and all of their IPs are co-owned between them and Nintendo.

Yeah I got a screenshot of the deleted tweet and... man that could have ended Pyoro for good if he didn't fix THAT mistake. But now I see how he gets his info prolly. The miyamoto thing just goes to show he can make humor of the situation lol
 
If you are trying to contrive a reason as to why Intelligent Systems would be in a partners showcase you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Nintendo being shown as a publisher in the partner showcase would only happen for a game that is not published by Nintendo in at least one major region. For example, I saw someone bring up Fitness Boxing 2 being in one of the partner directs, which was because it is self published by the developer in Japan.

At best this could be a warriors game or Nintendo publishing a big title outside of Japan.
