It's a promotional DVD. My bad!Whooooooa I guess it's time then?
Actually not used to Japan leaking Sonic stuff early so this is weird to me lol.
edit: Actually could this be promo stuff?
it's 30fps instead of 60fps, but otherwise the same trailerHuh.. this time Nintendo just straight up uploaded the same trailer as SEGA did.. (of course, with no mentions of the other platforms at the end); Weird move, considering everytime we've seen Frontiers on Nintendo's social media, it's with it's Switch footage.
Sonic Frontiers Two-Parter comic series coming Tuesday. Knuckles Animated Short still coming soon.
The shading under his chin is tripping me out a bit.. like, I get what they're going for but with the shape Sonic's unfurred lower face is supposed to be, it seems to be.. off-center, somehow?Something is.......off with Sonic's face here.
Good preview. The part talking about the open world structure being linear is especially interesting, haven't seen anyone mention this.
Yeah I never viewed it as an issue myself regarding the open zone layout. In my opinion, I don't really share the same opinion as the reviewer. The linear format isn't a huge issue due to the fact that you can just jump off a rail at any time and go on a another path. Also I have over a 100 hours on Sonic Forces on Switch and PC combined. I can get used to cyberspace physics. It's a matter of personal preference wither you like the cyberspace physics or not.
This is a good example of a more interesting cyberspace stage.Yeah I never viewed it as an issue myself regarding the open zone layout.
My main thing is just the cyberspace levels. I just hope they do get more interesting later on in the game.

Sonic Team needs to prove themselves after decades of being all over the placeMentioned it in the general Nintendo thread but Sonic Frontier is at #22 on Amazon's best selling Switch games list. Kind of shocked that it is that low. There's still several more weeks until release and it will definitely shoot up but it's behind Tears of the Kingdom, Fire Emblem Engage, Atari 50: Steel Book Edition, and of course a bunch of older Switch titles.
Given how big sonic is, its strange that this game seems like its the first one in a while to be given a signficant budget. I just bear forces this year and it seemed extremely low budget for a mainline sonic game. I think sonic unleashed may have actually looked better than forces does
