Or possibly because, you know, Astronaut.I find it funny that they chose to go with the name Shepherd for the captain(s). Is one of the developers a Mass Effect fan?
as long as you don't get enough items you can do as many days as you wantI’m amazed you guys are getting 100%, maybe I should try another run. At the same time I kinda don’t want to get too hooked and have to wait an excruciating three weeks.
Question: does it matter how many days you take to do stuff, aside from speedrun fun?
But they’re so sparkly and inviting!as long as you don't get enough items you can do as many days as you want
Definitely the hardest part of going for 100% is resisting the sparklesBut they’re so sparkly and inviting!
Tap ZR if target are near of others. You can free aim by holding A and not touching left analog, because if you move, semi auto lock comes in.The semi-auto lock is my biggest issue. Is there an easy way to break to a different target that I'm missing? I keep getting stuck on the wrong thing.

Same! It’s gonna be annoying going back to Pikmin 3 Deluxe after having played the other Pikmin games on Switch, lol. Wish they would have added that to the game in the update that did nothing but change the game’s HOME Menu icon…I wish 3 deluxe had a patch to match the -gyro only while aiming- controls here and in 1+2 HD
it doesn'tThis game does not have some kind of collectors edition right?
That's disappointing... This is one of the few games I would have bought it forit doesn't
the franchise as a whole has been kind of leaning away from the post-apocalyptic earth vibes and slowly moved more toward taking place in the modern day, and 4 is just taking that to its logical end i thinkAs someone who’s not into this series but kind of interested, the Pikmin 4 setting is new right? Like I don’t remember seeing anything in previous games looking like it takes place in someone’s back yard and house. I always thought it was distant uninhabited wild planets or something. Figured that’d be a pretty controversial tonal shift

that said there's still no visible humans anywhere so it might just be a minor location retcon and everyone's crashing down to a place that hasn't been completely overtaken by the wilds yet
There's been occasional mention of it, but mostly from people who didn't realize that the games have always taken place on a mysteriously pristine yet deserted Earth. You could go inside a house and collect fresh lunch meat and fried eggs in Pikmin 2. The demo confirms it's the same planet as always, though it's sort of dubious whether this is a continuation or a reboot. As someone who’s not into this series but kind of interested, the Pikmin 4 setting is new right? Could be. But as others have pointed out, it's spelled differently.Or possibly because, you know, Astronaut.
I took the goggles offIt might be nostalgia goggles clouding my vision so I'm not putting stock into it, but I feel like Pikmin 3 makes a much better first impression overall. The UI, graphics, animations, and framerate all seem worse in 4. I'm too much of a coward to boot up 3 and be proven wrong though.
its the only place where pikmin sells, sadly.
Pikmin merch department in Japan is killing it as usual! Such a shame these are not available elsewhere in the world.

I was thinking about this same thing when considering the house setting. How horrific would it be if the final boss of a Pikmin game were a human? My thoughts get dark when I think about how that battle would go.haven't looked at any of the leaks so don't tell me if I'm wrong but I'm fully expecting the final boss of this one to be the last surviving human

I feel like I've seen these exact impressions several times (hell, I had a similar journey myself)I took the goggles off
I was so so wrong. I need more 4 in my life
I made it to the first expedition on my first play of the demo the night it came out, and the tutorial didn’t bother me too much. I am curious as I continue tonight if I’ll feel like the game isn’t letting up when it should.I feel like I've seen these exact impressions several times (hell, I had a similar journey myself)
4's tutorial section is really quite bad, huh. Good thing the game quickly makes up for it
I don't think it consciously bothered me either, but I definitely started getting way more into things once the game took offI made it to the first expedition on my first play of the demo the night it came out, and the tutorial didn’t bother me too much. My kiddo is so disappointed that there's no juicing of fruit in Pikmin 4. That was a nice capstone to each day.
Yeah, I'm wondering if the "sparklium", while mostly just a gameplay excuse for making treasures you find valuable, is subtly supposed to hint to it being radioactive. It still is post-apocalyptic earth, the house here is just somehow intact.
Yeah title screen music is one of the best title screens I've ever heard. Been listening to it on loop throughout the dayI love the demo. This is definitely one of the best looking switch games. And the closer camera adds a lot. I also adore the title screen music, I could fall asleep to it
I'm still a bit partial to the Pikmin 3 title theme, but this one is also pretty. The music for the first area is seriously disappointing, though, it's no Garden of Hope.Yeah title screen music is one of the best title screens I've ever heard. Been listening to it on loop throughout the day
Pikmin 2 is about work exploitation, unchecked imperialism, corporatism, heritage theft, decadentism, anti-environmentalism, pseudo-science and cooking.Pikmin 2 was a game about being weird. Pikmin 3 was about the beauty of nature and three distinct
