greetings from Toronto, where glass has fallen off the elevator shaft of the CN tower due to wind and ????

edit: and also a daycare exploded?? this is a fucking day

This is purely just my opinion of why I can't get into soccer, but there are more flops in a soccer game then Lebron James in the playoffs. I can't believe how often I see someone that is convinced they are on fire and they have to roll around on the ground to put it out. All for a free kick I think it's called. So to me, it looks like the best players aren't the most athletic or the hardest workers, it's the best actors. Some fouls that I see called just blow my mind and it takes me out of the game so fast. I do live in a state that has an MLS team, and a pretty good one at that (Real Salt Lake), but I just can't watch it. You're leg is still attached to your body and you are not burning to death. Here's your penalty kick Ronaldo, please just get off the grass now.

Mario Soccer on the other hand, now that I do like. I also liked the Sega Soccer game that played like Strikers but I can't remember what it was called.
I agree that some players like to act, but I think for the most part, it's just a common misconception that they do. The thing is, physical contacts between players during games of american football and rugby tend to be very impressive, yet the players don't roll on the floor like the footballers do. But for those two sports most of the blows you're gonna get is on the arms, which are more solid and less sensitive than the legs (and most importantly the bottom part of the legs) which is where footballers do get hit. Sometimes, it doesn't look very impressive on the screen but it is very very painful IRL. Having played both rugby and football, I had my worst injuries and painful moments on a football field (just imagine twisting your ankle while running at full speed).

Of course, for some players there's some sort of strategy and they'll amplify their pain just to get the referee's attention, but that's really not everyone. And the ones that are the best at what they do, Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappé, Benzéma, Kanté... they are the most athletic and the hardest workers.

Holy smoke, no one was hurt in the elevator incident I hope ? Must've been so scary

Oh wow, Forspoken is $70 US on Steam. I knew the higher price points would come to PC eventually but I didn't expect Square to be at the forefront. But maybe I should have expected from Square.

Playing Kid Icarus Uprising currently on the 3DS - Kinda enjoy it.. but man the controlls is ruining quite a bit of the fun.
This game would have been a lot times better on the Wii / Wii U :S

But then we would have missed out on street pass gems and AR cards. I'd give up a fully functioning hand for those any day of the week. That's a great trade, and Sakurai agrees!

Duuuuuude! You mean this tower?

Just thinking about the glass off gives me the creeps :(

shocked and appalled that no one remembers chase beck

Just felt I had to pop in and say I remember chase beck. Might be my favorite beck tbh and definitely my favorite chase.

Working retail is single-handedly making me despise Christmas. Fucking hell.
Hang in there. Luckily Christmas is speeding toward us so it’ll all be over soon.

I do generally want to say to everyone the holidays are a mad stressful time so be sure to take care of you and yours. If anyone needs anyone to vent to about anything feel free to shoot me a DM or hit me up on discord.

Square games also drop in price hard shortly after release. This has $20 Black Friday 2022 written all over it.

I worked at Target for years, so I feel your pain. Have you ever got punched on a black friday? That was a.. that was a day. It was over a Gameboy Advance so I get it, but it was still a crazy morning.

Finally managed to book my booster, though even that's precarious as their system was still only set up for first and second shots even though we're now recommended to get boosted after 5 months, so I had to book as a first dose but apparently ring and tell them the day before it's for a booster? I'm worried the day will come and they'll turn me away.

The vaccine rollout here in Australia has been about as well thought out and managed as the Wii U.

Still, with a little luck, in just 13 days I'll have that sweet Moderna in my veins. Don't want my autism wearing off after all, that would suck, or the fantastic 5G signal I get from Bill Gate's secret base on the moon.

Black Friday actually wasn't that bad this year. Everything after though....

I actually miss Black Friday now

All conspiracy theories aside; my booster was very hard on my body. I had to triple my insulin levels for nearly ten days after what that shot did to my immune system. It’s al worth it in the end, but woooooosh I was not prepared for that. Not even my endocrinologist expected that.

Sorry to hear it was rough on you, but I am glad it was worth it. Hope it brings you both health and peace and mind. :)

I may never beat 2 Cell mode, but I am so in for this.

Watch it be 5 Cell only, fml, lol.

Can confirm, I snagged VIIR for $30-40 off Amazon around Black Friday last year. Absolutely ridiculous.

Deathloop going on 20-30% sale on Steam within weeks of launch was also eye popping.

If you’re not “hell yes” on a big new release you are far far better off waiting a month. Everything these days seems to be priced with the expectation that early adopters will pay whatever, you drop the price shortly after to expand the player base, and then make bank on either service stuff or DLC in volume.

Deathloop for PS5 was $25 (that’s TWENTY FIVE USD) this Black Friday only two months after launch.

I enjoyed Bug Fables when I played it, but finally played Paper Mario for the first time has taken some of the shine off. It's not the obvious things that it took from Paper Mario that bug (heh) me, but the little things. The fact that both have sort of maze like deserts for example.

I really like the world building and the characters in Bug Fables a lot, and I played the heck out of Superstar Saga, so I dig this kind of game, and am glad that indies are making them. Just took a little bloom off the rose for me.

This should give you a good laugh. I worked at Costco one holiday season and it was brutal sometimes with people yelling over completely mundane things the front line staff had no control over.

New Scott the Woz here to remind you his friends are not funny.

I haven’t watched one of Scott’s videos since his switch year 4 recap back in March. Idk it was just too much whinging and overall negativity for me.

Saw that Saints Row 4 was 2.80 on the eshop. Coped with my large surplus of gold coins I’ve saved and got it for free. Always wanted to try it and now I can.

you mean Playstation All Stars, right?
no,thats why its funny
