(you didn’t have to sell me too hard though, since I’m a freshly converted Dark Souls Enjoyer who had never heard of Armored Core until this month)
 
Star Fox: Assault was and is a terrible fucking name for a game

that said, I’m an absolute outlier because it’s my favorite Star Fox game and the only one that really pulled me in

I feel like I've heard some love towards SFA. Pretty sure my high school friends used to play a bunch of its multiplayer.
 
The campaign for Star Fox Assault was kinda bleh (even if it did mean you could unlock Xevious), but the multiplayer really shone and I always lament I couldn't have gotten more friends of mine to play it with me back in the day.

There was a glitch in one level with a spire in the middle that if you timed a jetpack just right and got up there with a sniper rifle you were essentially invincible and couldn't be shot at out of the level boundaries but not auto-self destruct
 
Star Fox Assault kinda rules even though it's flawed as fuck. Would have been a good foundation for future games (where they fix the on-foot movement) but alas it wasn't meant to be.

Look we may not have Jawmuncher here but by gum I will take up the mantle of resident dinosaurs-in-any-media lover.

SF Adventures is the mature Zelda game everyone needed but didn't realize they wanted when they were poo-pooing WindWaker in the early aughts for its kiddy cel-shaded art
 
I’m the kinda person who likes to play games from the first in the series to see how the gameplay and graphics have evolved over time. I’m also a sucker for a good easter egg. I should probably play the Star Fox games at some point, but there’s only the SNES and N64 games on the Switch atm right?

The world just wasn't ready for furry Zelda yet (though I guess Botw and Totk has solved that now) :LOL:

Also dinosaurs are cool in any media, don't let anybody tell you otherwise, They're like giant robots: Everything's better with them.

maybe i didn’t know shit back in the day but i really enjoyed that too tbh

I'm waffling right now. I've gone Day 1 for the last three Nintendo systems and I think I feel like it was only the Switch where I wasn't like "Yeah I could've waited a few months". With the size of my backlog I'm pretty sure I can keep myself enterainted with the current model for a couple years at my current rate.

Ultimately, it's really going to come down to the software lineup for the first year.
 
Xenoblade Trinity soundtrack arrived in one piece! Time to fill my phone up with roughly 20 solid hours of Xenoblade music :)
 
Gonna be a big day tomorrow between the Mario Wonder Direct and Netflix One Piece dropping

I have COVID so I'll have plenty of time to watch both
