That’s not all! Olimar’s tablet from the intro is on Ver. 10.2.6! Put them both together and you get October 26, 2001, the release date of the first Pikmin game!Hehe the software version on it is 20.0.1 (2001)
Yes, if they get shaken off they're usually helpless and scattered for a few seconds. Calling them back before this happens is both faster and safer, especially against enemies like Empress Bulblax.I’m missing something about the combat, I always seem to lose one or two Pikmin, should I be recalling them before the monsters shake them off or something
Did... did they remake Pikmin 1 as a mode inside Pikmin 4?
It lets you finish the day first.Question: Once you gather 1500, does the demo stop RIGHT there, or does it let you finish the day?
I ask as someone who is one day 6 and has like 15 treasures just sitting right next to his ship right now lol.
Awesome, thank you!It lets you finish the day first.

They are wishing The Big Five into existence. #ManifestingI think Nintendo have high hopes for this one to grow the audience. It definitely has what it takes.
The series has long since teetered on the border of 90 MC, wonder if this will do itI think Nintendo have high hopes for this one to grow the audience. It definitely has what it takes.
rip anyone who thought metroid was a "big three"They are wishing The Big Five into existence. #Manifesting
Eve since the GameCube, my top 5 Nintendo franchises consisted of Zelda, Pikmin and AC(plus DK and SF). Glad to see Nintendo agree that my taste in their franchises is also is the best one. They are wishing The Big Five into existence. #Manifesting
Is there a way in this one to send all of your guys to attack at once? My wife and I can’t seem to find it. If they took that away then that sucks.

If anyone wants to hype up the leaks without actually spoiling anything, I certainly wouldn't mind
Tell me about this swarm ability.Charge is an upgrade; you should unlock it for Day 3 by just following what the game wants you to do in Day 2.
Swarm from Pikmin 1 and 2 is also back in this one though; you get both; but it doesn’t seem like you can get that upgrade in the demo.
It’s enabled by default, but it’s only active while holding A to throw, while holding B to whistle, or while locked on to a target with ZR. So basically the same as how Pikmin 1 + 2 on Switch handle it, from what I understand. While this means that unfortunately you can’t use gyro controls to move your reticle at all times like in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the benefit to it is that you won’t have to deal with gyro drift, plus it frees up the R button to have other uses than being dedicated to resetting the gyro controls.how does motion control work in this? I can't seem to activate it

I don't know if all that much substantial has leaked but from at least one of the angles that has, the game seems pretty substantial. There seem to be some pretty interesting surprises in store as well

So, what is the command for swarm in this game?
I think it might be the first title to sell 3 million.I think Nintendo have high hopes for this one to grow the audience. It definitely has what it takes.
I really hope it does. Cause maybe then we won't have to wait another 10 YEARS for Pikmin 5I think it might be the first title to sell 3 million.
This is also on the Nintendo website, at least as of yesterday. I went to download the demo using the web version of the eShop, and they were pushing this promotion. I imagine it went live with the demo to drive pre-orders. They say that it applies retroactively to old pre-orders, but as a voucher user, I'm not benefiting (as expected).
it's still kinda there since the piles of materials are functionally similar and doing it this way means that there's some interplay with moving the base aroundI'm not completely sold on using raw materials for building
While it does add some nice resource management since it's a shared pool with the lab upgrades, bridge pieces served as a nice secondary objective to open up new areas before, which is kinda lost here.
Cautiously optimistic about the demo. I'm hoping this is the tutorial area and, like the TotK tutorial, the game gets a lot more open and fun once you're done. The caves I played are surprisingly boring, but again that's fine as long as this is a tutorial.
The biggest issue I have right now is the controls. Pikmin 3 was really built around having the wii remote and game pad. Having similar controls here leaves you with awkward controls using the joycons (which are worse than the wii remote) and too much stuff and not enough buttons to do it. I wonder if the Switch 2 will have a goofy controller, this is the third major switch game where I felt the traditional design of the joycons has let the game down.
would be funny, although ME is Shepard, not Shepherd.I find it funny that they chose to go with the name Shepherd for the captain(s). Is one of the developers a Mass Effect fan?
"Legally Distinct Shepherd"would be funny, although ME is Shepard, not Shepherd.
Graphics??It might be nostalgia goggles clouding my vision so I'm not putting stock into it, but I feel like Pikmin 3 makes a much better first impression overall. The UI, graphics, animations, and framerate all seem worse in 4. I'm too much of a coward to boot up 3 and be proven wrong though.
The semi-auto lock is my biggest issue. Is there an easy way to break to a different target that I'm missing? I keep getting stuck on the wrong thing. It's the opposite, controls here are different from P3, and game is designed around this, that's why there a semi auto lock-on here, you don't need even aim accurately in 99% of time.
