First TotK preview blurb just dropped:

“Tears of the Kingdom is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to Tears of the Kingdom.”

Ugh! The block puzzle! Wasn’t as bad as I remember last time I played though, but certainly the hardest puzzle in the game.
Funnily enough you can make it a non-issue if you go out of your way to get the cane of somaria first, but as a kid I had no idea about that either. LTTP is fun to play around with dungeon order a bit when you know what you’re doing

it's like walking up to the bear and poking it with a stick and then getting mad when it takes half of your arm. incredible level of hubris.
From what I understand, there's little Nintendo can do about decompilation projects like this but you can bet that they're watching them just to see if they slip up.

Nintendo fan 1 (at last this is how I imagine those people talk, I wouldn't know): yo, it'll be called Switch 2 I tell ya'll!
Nintendo fan 2: nah, brehs, it gonna be called Super Switch
Nintendo fan 3: ayyyy it's going to be Switch Pro and you can take that to the bank

Meanwhile Nintendo (probably, maybe):

reminds me of the project m devs that were also engaged in Acts of Hubris, literally announcing new characters and updates while nintendo was promoting smash 4. nintendo modders really cant help flying too close to the sun.

Misery Mire wasn't too bad, some rooms were annoying with tons of enemies but progression was pretty straightforward (for a late Dark World dungeon anyway)

Gonna ignore the warning in Turtle Rock to go in without magic refill, let's see how long I last

What is your Favorite Star Wars Video Game?

This week marks the release of the highly anticipated game Jedi Survivor. Star Wars games have been around almost since the birth of modern video games. Throughout the years there have been some very memorable (and not so memorable) games. The franchise really exploded in popularity when the prequels started to drop. I think there was 51 or so games that released between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. We have also seen Star Wars characters as guests in other games. Soul Calibur V anyone? So I ask you Fami, what is your favorite Star Wars game?

And may the force be with you.
I think it’s Rogue Squadron III for me. Rogue Squadron II is definitely the better single player game, but astonishingly the entire Rogue Squadron II campaign is the co-op campaign in Rogue Squadron III! I have such awesome memories playing this with one of my friends.

The original Xbox Star Wars Battlefront II, Shadows of the Empire, the first Lego Star Wars, Episode 1 Podracing, and Jedi Fallen Order were all good fun too.

I realized that I left my XC3 copy at my apartment, and I am on vacation lol. So Ill probably mute the game online.

I'm still kind of scratching my head over the chuds freaking out about Horizon Forbidden West's DLC. Like, I thought they already hated Horizon. And The Last of Us. And God of War Ragnarok.

I remember discovering that all of Rogue Squadron II was part of III. I was gobsmacked. That would never happen today without all kinds of MTX!

The Mario Switch bundle is currently at #12 on Amazon's best sellers for videogames, right behind the God of War PS5 bundle. It's been hanging around that position that past few days. So the Mario movie seems to be putting in some work. The Zelda OLED has been hanging around #6 to #7.

Turns out I didn't need the magic warning for the dungeon but the boss fight wew that threw me for a loop

Then I accidentally skipped the Dungeon Map in Ganon's Tower but that's fine because it's pretty linear

And now I have once again become the Hero Of Hyrule. Being my first proper playthrough on my own, I have a lot of thoughts that I'll save for a LTTP thread

get the joke

I picked a horrible time to replay Persona 5. I would have been fine if the XC3 dlc didn't just get dumped right on me, lol. Now I've got to blast through that before TotK!

don't know why but youtube recommended me this ai generated smash bros video thing and some of it is genuinely terrifying, Kirby and Jigglypiuff are especially nightmarish.

also I've gotta say I hadn't really been paying attention to ai stuff and I did not realise it had gotten this advanced in terms of making images.

I've also been replaying it (or rather playing through P5R for the first time) but I take it pretty slow and play it in the background, go through a dungeon a month or so. On replays I feel less urgency to play through the game in a timely manner.
