Playing through Majora's Mask 3D for the first time, while I'm not crazy about all the changes, the free range camera on the New 3DS is great.

Also, I have no earthly idea how I played this game as a kid without knowing about the Inverted Song Of Time lol

Unfortunately, Yuji Naka won't be able to make it to the red carpet premier of the third Sonic movie due to unforeseen reasons.

man, Blue Reflection Second Light is AMAZING. and (at least in the localization? not sure about the JP version) all the characters are in college, so... people get that "college aged RPG" thing i see people begging for.

technically, Mario has the 86 film that released in theatres, and the 90s movie.
This is in my backlog, I need to start it

I cannot stand jigsaw puzzles. They give me anxiety.

Fan of Banjo-Tooie then?

Day 14 of Cereza and the Lost Demon. I am only on chapter 4 of 13. This very well may last me till TotK after all. 😳

Even all these years later, part of me will always find it surreal seeing Sonic and other Sega games on Nintendo consoles.
On the other hand, there's something warm about it, seeing once bitter opponents now working together.

I'm still waiting for a "Smash Hearts"-type series.

I'm done with Super Smash Bros. series not having their own story mode or "proper" story mode.

I want Nintendo's answer to Kingdom Hearts.

Is that so hard to ask? With a "proper" story or story-mode, mind you.

So, since this year DST in Mexico was cancelled and today was the day it would've change time, the issue is A LOT of systems weren't updated with this change and so since the morning we've had mobile carriers displaying the wrong time, some government displays and even consoles like switch are being affected by this.

Blue Reflection Second Light is awesome and easily my favorite Gust game. I love the characters and while it may be a little easy on a first playthrough when you can’t choose the harder difficulties, the combat is great fun. The music is excellent too. More JRPG fans need to play it.

It’s on my (long) backlog list. I picked up the first game for like $5 on a Steam sale ages ago but I’ve never gotten around to playing it.

I logged in, saw Segaboards, and had to do some self-examination about how mindless my internet browsing can be.

Then I looked at the calendar. You jokers.

Just be aware the first game is rough on most fronts and super rough in spots. I liked it, but Second Light is the game the first one should have been. If you aren’t jumping straight to the second game, there’s also an anime that’s kind of a slog set between the two games. There’s some big payoffs for both in Second Light, but for most people I’d just encourage playing Second Light.

i beat bayonetta origins it was good
Same. To those who haven't given it a shot, I recommend it. The graphics, aesthetic, and story all charmed me. The gameplay also advances as the story advances, so things do pick up a bit after where the demo ends if you've played that and found it too simple. If you like Bayonetta, I think you'll appreciate the connections, but I imagine you could be charmed by the story regardless. It's a top Bayonetta title for me, and of Platinum's exclusives on Switch, I think I'd put it at #2 behind Astral Chain.

So now that I finish Azure, I wanted to start the Cold Steel Arc. Since 1&2 and not on switch I got them on PC and after playing for like 8 hours, I remember why I don't like PC gaming lol. Since I use my pc for research (grad school) and background ambiance, having that cut out while playing sucks. It makes me really appreciate how the switch has been integrated in my life.

Regardless, playing CS in 60 fps was so weird I cut it to 30 lol. Maybe its because its turn base, but it feels to fast idk. Meanwhile, I played FF13 and the Last Remnant at 60 and it was great, not to mention Tales of games. So I guess it depends on the game.

I'm very happy that it's possible to love Sega on here. The console war has always been stupid. Nintendo makes great stuff, Sega has made great stuff, Playstation makes great stuff, and Microsoft is trying very hard to choke us all with their money. Let's be kind about this.

Don't be like me, someone who likes video games and jigsaw puzzles, because then you have both a backlog of games and puzzles.
This is me and books on kindle when they used to give out no rush rewards a lot more (this was after they stopped letting you redeem that for eshop cards). I have dozens upon dozens of $1-$5 book deals I got that I’ll never get to in my life.

Yeah I second this, tried to replay BR1 again and everything from the combat and pacing is simply better in 2. And really the story of 1 isn't that complex to follow so watching / reading a story summary is going to help. Hell even in game they just go like "yeah, Hinako did this stuff, crazy uh..." and the gang continues their way

Is Ada... is Ada not Asian?

Busy making his next game, Bailout Wonderland

Then why are you here
A lot of the chuds have said they thought she was white but even ones who knew still thought the white voice actor "sounded better". Guess the last name Wong didn't clue them in.

Note: yes I know not everyone who dislikes the voice are chuds I'm specifically talking about the chuds.

Fucking woke soundtracks.

Yeah we were discussing it earlier. Only thing I can think of is they mean the voice acting is woke because Ada is voiced by an Asian actress for RE4 Remake. The chuds are attacking her on her social media pages to the point she's deleting most of her posts so they can't comment on them. Otherwise I have no clue what they mean by woke soundtrack. Always funny how they claim we're snowflakes but they're the most fragile of all.

Kind of got lost in the shuffle of Segaboards and the weekend, but meant to post this. Go watch Jeremy Parish’s youtube channel to help with a good cause (and the videos are of the utmost quality). Let’s maximize his revenue on the channel:

Waiting for it to hit $40, then I'm in.

Labyrinth of Galleria update time! It’s so long I feel the need to talk about it now and then, especially since it’s just so interesting and unique story-wise; I need to ramble a bit.

This game made me tear up like three different times today, I don’t know how it manages to be so emotionally raw and catch me off guard repeatedly, but it does. I finally got to a point that the earlier parts of the game make a lot more sense now (well… mostly), and the overall plot is becoming more clear. And yet there’s still so much I don’t know and has yet to be explained. And I also have no clue how much longer the game is - it feels like I’m at a big, climactic point now but this is also roughly the fourth time that’s happened.

My one complaint is that the actual labyrinths and levels don’t feel quite as good and unique as in the previous game (Refrain), but pretty much everything else is significantly better in Galleria. And that could still change for the better, despite me being 65 hours in.

Anyway, I’m caring about these characters a lot more than I expected to, and I can’t wait to keep going. This is the kind of game that I really hope there are some YouTube story analysis videos of, or summaries, or something, because they’d be really interesting to look at once I’m done.

I have a couple of pins on my jacket which I change up regularly, so far no one outside of my nerd friends have recognised them. Lately I've had Layton and Luke but I felt it was time for a change so went with Hollow Knight and Hornet.

Today when I dropped off my youngest at pre-school, I had a little chit-chat with the teacher and she went 'I recognise those' and pointed towards my chest pocket where I have the pins. I got a wee bit excited and thinking to myself, could this be it?

And she goes:
'I had those in a pokémon game I played as a kid'

One of these days.. it's gonna happen

30fps with drops + its blurry, looks weird like there's vaseline on screen. I dont know if other versions suffer the same, but it was so noticable to me even during fights.

I think... there's something wrong with your Switch...? Because this is not something I've read anywhere else?
It runs and looks beautifully on my OLED, best looking HD2D game by far.

Playstation makes great stuff, and Microsoft is trying very hard to choke us all with their money
I mean, I'd argue that over the last 10 years Microsoft made more interesting and better games than Sony ; and that Sony paying a lot of money so that other games never, ever, hit other systems and/or the Game Pass could also be considered "choking us with all their money"

Played my first Smash match online in over a year and was immediately reminded why I stopped. First match was some cringey Young Link spamming projectiles and running away for 6 minutes. Left feeling angry and closed the game 😔

Ah yeah, new thread ... and i can toggle off that April's Fools theme here.

It's Mario Movie week!
