I just read what happened and hooooooo boy

That plus the big summit they have coming in September (I think?) are just a big ole chef's kiss

Granted as once-professional artist I've heard horror stories about Disney that definitely do not make me root for them per se, but there's something poetic about a massive corporation giving a public middle finger to a prominent conservative leader while the party screams "Free market capitalism!!! Companies can do whatever they want ....wait, not like that!"

I feel like I just watched a snake attack a porcupine, and judging how Disney might now be able to have veto power on some developments they don't even own, well the metaphor might not be too inaccurate.

I noticed that the Link: Majora's Mask Amiibo is back on sale (preorder) but it seems only that one. Why that one specifically is getting a reprint but seemingly not the others? I missed out on a bunch of the other Link Amiibos in the past.

So my only experience with Mario 64 was the DS version I barely remember so when the 3D all stars collection came out I was excited to play Mario 64 and decided to do a 120 star run, and I got around 78 stars into it before getting distracted by other stuff.

Anyway I just recently returned to it and was running around the basement when I found a wall that moved the same way paintings did and realized I had just missed an entire level. Little did I know how quickly the words “Shifting Sand Land” would haunt me. I hate this level so much and it’s stupid stupid sand pits of death and the terrible camera inside the pyramid and the evil bird that won’t give me my hat back. This level might’ve kill my desire to get all the stars I hate it so much. I just need to get all this pent up hatred for this level out somewhere, my eye is twitching.

FUUUUUUUCK SHIFTING SAND LAND

Welp Koei finally decided to implement Nobunaga's Ambition with walking on mobile, they just teased the game

Not even half a million in a month. Dang

The price is just too high. It sucks since I like VR and I’m really interested in its potential, but the hardware, games, and price all have to be there if it ever is going to take off.

I’ve been stuck on what is apparently the hardest boss in Labyrinth of Galleria for weeks now. I really don’t want to have to switch to easy difficulty lol
I just finished Octopath 2 so I’m going back to Galleria soon! Sounds like I have a very long while to catch up to you, though. I’m super curious where the story is about to go.

The next direct speculation thread is going to be the closest we get to flaming chibi robo I feel.
It’s going to be fun! We have the great combo of:

A) Knowing absolutely nothing other than Pikmin 4 for the rest of the year

B) The continuing saga of new hardware (which probably still won’t be announced this year, but we’re closer than ever, I guess?)

C) Having no idea if there even will be a summer Direct at all

Maximum chaos!

We'll basically be having to make our own narrative from scratch with nothing to go on but Pikmin so that's gonna be hilarious

Just got my copy of RE4 yesterday (thanks Fnac!) and I'm going to my parents' for a week, so no Xbox.

My backlog just keeps piling up smh my head

Man, i would wish the Burning Chibi Robo would come back and tease Switch ports of Dark Souls 2 and 3. I want them portable.

Might sound pretentious ... but everyone without rose tainted fan glasses could've seen this coming.

It's too expensive, you can't use it on PC, you need a device with (until recently) shitty availablility, which is also expensive.

When you have "rival" devices for less that also work with the stuff you likely have at home already, no amount of "cool" tech built into PSVR2 helps.

From's games are actually some of the very, very few ones I can't seem to fully enjoy on a handheld. Both due to their gameplay design (difficulty/boss fights, to be more precise) and how beautifully their audio-visual staging is, which I feel can't fully shine on a handheld.
Truly, they're the rare type of experience I'd still try to take the time for and sit down in front of the monitor/TV. (They might actually be the only games I'd do this for, now that I think about it...)

With that being said, it'd obviously be nice to see them being offered on Switch as well for those into the idea of playing them that way.
(Monkey's paw: cloud versions incoming. ;P)

I already enjoyed them on the big screen, so now i want to be able to "You Died" in bed, in the bathtub and on the toilet.

... ok maybe not on the toilet.

Just as I bought a bunch of 3DS games to spend time with before TotK releases, the PlayStation spring sale that just started has like every game from my wishlist on sale

And also, was it a good timing to launch a VR headset? It was a niche, now it's a niche of a niche, all the people that were curious about VR already tried it and now only the big enthusiasts – the ones among them that don't have VR motion sickness – remain and are willing to spend 600$ on a new headset.

Damn, I feel pretty bad for those who bought the PSVR 2. Sony is not exactly known for supporting their "failing" devices.

If he could tease Metal Wolf Chaos and some Armored Core remasters, that would be nice. Also we're waiting himself to grace Nintendo Switch in best way possible. Maybe in a Metroid Prime like remakster of the original game?

I don't pretend to know what Sony's aims are or were for PSVR(2) but it always felt like a vanity project to me. A product for them to flex their technical proficiency and to further strengthen premium and high-end image of the PlayStation brand without having any meaningful negative impact on their regular development pipeline. They will obviously support it to some degree with games, like they did with the Vita, and some internal devs can take advantage of it by implementing VR modes in their games (Polyphony Digital with GT). And if it takes off to some degree they might even put more resources behind it. But they're not going to ever put their full weight behind it since it's still a very niche device, comparatively speaking.

At this point, Sony should just keep focus on the PS consoles, they're not really having a hand for side projects.

I woke up a little earlier this morning so I could play a game before work, but instead all I’ve done is drink coffee and watch youtube.

Playing NES Zelda for the first time, I am amazed at how obtuse this game is. The 80s was really just a completely different time.

It's nice though that Heart Containers give you a full heart. Just beat the first dungeon.
You gotta play with that manual and the map that came with the game.

So I’ve actually been wondering about this. I’ve never seen the map that came with the game. Does it cover the whole area or just part of it?

Man it's been more than 30 years since i last saw it, but i think it covers the whole overworld, but without secrets or stuff like how to get through the lost woods and so son.

Uhhhh I kinda want to play this lol. They even have english audio, I think (there are voices in the trailer)

Thank you, KoTec, for making my summer more exciting with this and Atelier Marie.

It's been a while since I played a localized Nobunaga game. When was the last time? PS2, iirc.
why is skyrim the most expensive bethesda switch game on sale?
It's a Nintendo distributed game. I know it makes no sense but Diablo 3 is in the same situation and it's more ridiculous: D2 and D3 pack is completely from Activision and always get deeper discount than D3 itself.
