Good news, everyone.

I was contacted by a labor union to join them.

I'm going to call them back soon to learn more and discuss what my work entails exactly, but I'm feeling incredibly optimistic right now.

But isn't the whole thing with TPC that they are essentially owned as a co-op between Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures, Inc.? Surely they're beholden to Nintendo rather than the other way around, least of all if they needed additional assistance they have a direct line to Nintendo's resources to pull from

TPC holds the actual governing power over the state of the Pokémon franchise, rereleases and transfers. Yeah they’re the ones that are pains.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who had to look up how to find the Attack FX R Badge to beat Hooktail because I thought there would be an actual cricket in Hooktail's Castle, and got confused when I couldn't find one.

Please tell me I'm not dumb.

In my defense, the game only tells you Hooktail hates crickets. It doesn't say that he hates the sound crickets make, or that something in the castle makes a sound that crickets make. I would have never guessed that you'd use the Attack FX R Badge to beat him, because, let's be real, did anyone actually use the Attack FX Badges in the first Paper Mario?

...I did. I liked the cute sounds. Used them in TTYD as well, even outside of the cricket scenario.

God of War Ragnarök ending thoughts

I liked Odin as a character, but the final fight was somewhat lackluster. An even worse thing was how the whole sequence after beating him was basically setup for the post-game. Which is fine, I guess, but it did leave me with a diminished a sense of accomplishment ("You did this, sure, but whay you really should do is play some more of this video game").
 
Happy March, everyone. I’m now like 78 hours into Labyrinth of Galleria, and the time I stopped being able to talk about the game because of spoilers was at about 40 hours. It’s very, very good. Like it’ll probably be in my top 3 this year.
 
Wasn't expecting for niantic to choose a small sports newspaper to promote Hawlucha, but here we are

HiFi Rush is so freaking awesome and I am so freaking bad at it. I finished it the other day, and Kale beat me like twenty times. The game was like "hey bro do you wanna turn the difficulty down some?". I didn't, but wow, what a huge difficulty spike.

Nice! I'm at about 45 hours, and I'm into the post-first-major-spoilers section, it's a pretty incredible twist and change-up. I'm honestly still a little shocked they pulled that. I'm eager to get back to the game but it's going to be on the backburner for at least a little while for other games, since it's the kind of game that I find I can pick up and put down without too much trouble.
 
Oh shit, my copy of Metroid Prime Remastered arrives this Friday! And I managed not to cave and also buy the digital version in the meantime.

I remember when the commotion about her design first swirled it caught the attention of the director and he said something like "we weren't trying to make her look sexualized, we thought the design just looked like a nice farm girl"

But I'm from a farm town and the only people I see dress like that is absolutely nobody

Incidentally with that particular key art, I think it’s funny if you imagine what should be the foreground is instead the background.

Yeah it’s funny how the sales of the franchise revitalized just because Ryza’s design caught on. You never really know what random thing is gonna strike gold.

They're both pretty great, and I think balance out to be about equal on the whole, at least to me. But it's been a while since I've done a soundtrack listen to either one, I just know I have tracks I love from both games.

  • At the recommendation of @9-Volt, included pages for The Settlers and Remnants!
    • Known issue: There's an empty square in the bottom row. Can anyone think of another game that should be highlighted in that wall?
  • Added a new warning for the closure of the eShop for Wii U and 3DS, linking to @Barely Able's thread of recommendations
  • Mr. Peanutbutter received a +5% cuteness buff

Mr. Peanutbutter was already too cute, this seems like it’ll make him OP. I bet he’ll get nerfed again in the next patch.
 
Well that’s my third major Nier Automa route down! Done for tonight, time for some soul hackers 2 before I cuddle up in bed with TGAA 2 as I wind down.

Ok I’ve gotten endings abcghkotuz not sure how many more I’ll manage to stumble across without looking them up but I can think of one
Also chapter select definitely will make going for that last main ending easier.
