Ah the best times to be on a Nintendo forum are the days and minutes before a direct

The worst times to be on a Nintendo forum are the minutes after a Direct if you had any hint of enjoyment watching said direct

That’s how I am with the PS5. Basically playing PS4 games since I didn’t have that, and they are $10 or less or on Plus extra for the $70 I paid for it.

- Hey guys, this is the Phelous MMZ All Star Smash reveal trailer for the Nintendo Direct.
So the main roster includes King Mah God, Wabuu, Smoke, Official Royal Pet, Bevanfield Aladdin, Good Times Genie, Clint Oward from Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa and Old Man.
 
So, as expected, it was never going to be a good (or at least better than the initially planned) time to release Advance Wars applying Nintendo’s logic. Now it seems like it will release almost on Ukraine’s war anniversary 🤷‍♂️

I hope physical copied are still planned, as I will get one for sure.

I think that they have no other choice (except to cancel it altogether) because of the chain reaction that this war caused in other regions with military tension.

Thing is, here in Germany most Gamestops are closing down and and are having up to 60% discount on the or remaining stock.

Could have gotten Monster Hunter Stories 2 for 30% off, but that would have made it 28€ which is gud, but I still have tons of other RPGs to play anyway.

New Mario Kart track just got announced for Tour. Sneak peek looks great! Can’t wait to play it in 8 Deluxe eventually!

 
RE: Advance Wars, as mentioned, they delayed the game due to Russia, it would seem a bit weird if they were to release it so close to the anniversary of the date they first invaded Ukraine right?

I still anticipate April, 1 full year from the previous date. Gives them enough time to start up a new marketing campaign for it, just dropping it next week feels like it’s being sent out to die just to get the game out?

I hope there isn't some weird cutoff date, so we don't get a really cool track in Tour that just doesn't ever come to 8.
Are they maybe already developing the 2 versions of the tracks in tandem?

I don't think they would actually want to do a marketing campaign for it?
They will probably just try to get it out.
It's weird that it's so close to the anniversary, but we also got GoldenEye recently where there was rumored to also be some hangups cause you are fighting Russians in that game.
Wonder if it actually got delayed from summer last year to now.

Having it be a surprise retail shadow drop might be the best they can do at this point as a middle ground between not talking about the game and drawing excitement towards it. I’m wondering perhaps if they announce it today or tomorrow outside of a Direct for next week. If retail copies are coming, I imagine they want to tell people who kept their preorders at least long enough to make plans to pick it up or be ready for it to come by mail. Had it never been delayed for the reasons it was, I still wonder how much they would have actually talked about it leading up to release. This is a smaller release for them and they are rereleases ultimately despite the new graphics and explaining however online works.

I do wonder if there’ll be a cutoff given Tour datamining findings that I’m not terribly well versed in, but the expectation for Waves 4-6 at least from the prefix leak way back in March is eight more city courses and five new tracks. Piranha Plant Cove would presumably be one of those five new tracks. IIRC I think there appears to be more City courses than there are slots.

Unfortunately I really think it is up to all of us to drive excitement for this game. Tell all of your Switch friends and family to pick this game up and support the release. We have to make it succeed despite the circumstances if we want to see more Advance Wars.

I can resist the Lego Bowser, even though it's like the best set of the Mario line they have.
(Dunno why they had to make a weird game out of Mario instead of normal playsets with minifigures)

But that Deku tree makes me hope there will atleast be some smaller Zelda sets? Even though it looks cool, I also feel the rumored prices are overpriced.
I want the figurines, some Zelda location I could try building myself.

A new Nintendo Direct is coming on February 9th:

-The presentation starts with Metroid Prime 4 with a new gameplay-cinematic trailer coming next year. Metroid Prime HD is coming too in Fall.

-Pikmin 4 shows his first Gameplay, with a New Type of Pikmin. Releases in summer.

-Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp gets a New Release Date on April 7th.

-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings And The Lost Ocean remake is announced in collaboration with Monolith Soft.

-A New Mario Baseball Game Series developed by Camelot. Releasing in June.

-A New 2D Game from Donkey Kong series releasing in Fall.

-Kirby Return to DreamLand Deluxe shows new Gameplay and presents the "Magolor Epilogue"

-The Game Vouchers are back for the Nintendo Switch Online members.

-The Next Wave for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass with Amsterdam Drift, Singapore Speedway and more. The Wave 4 releases in March.

-New DLC Xenoblade 3 content is announced too.

-A recap from previous games announced like Hogwarts Legacy, Tales of Symphonia, Octopath Traveler II and more.

-Silksong shows in the recap but still with a "2023" release date.

-At the end, a Zelda section. Starts with Aonuma on stage, annoncing new Amiibos, new Switch OLED and finally a 3 min trailer with lore and gameplay, release date on May 12th.

It sounds like someone took everything we've been discussing and make a leak out of it.

Usually when lego makes special minifigures for certain sets, they sell later keychains with the minifigures

You have the example of the Lego winnie the pooh set and keychains, or the Sesame Street. Probably they do the same with zelda.
