I promised one more giveaway so here we go.

Predict the exact length of the next Nintendo Direct. $5 US eShop giftcard giveaway.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Let's try to guess the exact length of the next Nintendo Direct presentation. We are talking about US version of Nintendo Direct here since the japanese one will actually have the different length as always. What I mean is the Nintendo Direct upload video that will be there after the presentation. So the whole thing from the intro to the final Nintendo logo.

I am being generous here and listing you some of the recent Directs and their durations:

September 2019 - announced as roughly 40 min. - Ended up being 38:45.
February 2021 - announced as roughly 50 min. - Ended up being 50:46.
E3 2021 - announced as a roughly 40 min. - Ended up being 38:51.
September 2021 - announced as a roughly 40 min. - Ended up being 40:35.
February 2022 - announced as a roughly 40 min. - Ended up being 40:48.
September 2022 - announced as a roughly 40 min. - Ended up being 45:22.

What are the rules?

You have to quote this post (so I can find your guess easily) and type the exact length you think the Direct will have. For example: 42:22. Your first number being minutes and the second one being seconds. Or just type it as a 42 minutes and 22 seconds. Just type it somehow that I can understand it. If you type in something like "42 minutes" and you are not typing seconds that means your response is 42:00.

If you don't quote this message you are not participating. I will not search many pages just to find your guess. Shoutout to bellydrum for doing the sweet every quote message button.

The person who will guess the exact length or the nearest one will get the giftcard. If more people guess the exact length (it could happen lol) than one of these will be selected by random selection.

You can send your guess until Sunday, February 5th, 12pm UTC. You can edit your guess until this end date.

Good luck.

still no trailer on the leaked new campaign, they're really keeping it for the direct if they're not showing it now.
Direct next week team might be winning.
Basically came to post this, was shocked when this wasn't the leaked mode.

Oh shit, some Kirby stuff was leaked? What was it? And is the stuff in the trailer actually new? (as in, are people surprised about the minigames or has it been known)
We knew about the minigames, I'm not sure if we knew about the theme park mode they were housed in.

they leaked the back cover of the game and it showed a new campaign, as far as the trailer the new hub for the minigames is new

The mini games were announced last month, but there's some post-game mode that showed up on a box art scan someone did

I've seen some people's discussion over weak 2nd half of the year for Nintendo and what-not, but I'm not sure I can recover from Hi-Fi Rush, Pizza Tower, Kirby, RE4, Zelda, and Yakuza. Unless at least one of those is awful, that's a selection of a really good year and it's not even going to be 6 months!

That is because you are weak, you need to get into the Nintendo ring fit gym and work on your gaming muscles.

If it weren't for the back of the box leak, we'd probably not be expecting Kirby in next weeks direct after this mini game mode revealed today.

Which one of you posted this to 4chan?

A new Nintendo Direct is coming on February 9th:

-The presentation starts with Metroid Prime 4 with a new gameplay-cinematic trailer coming next year. Metroid Prime HD is coming too in Fall.

-Pikmin 4 shows his first Gameplay, with a New Type of Pikmin. Releases in summer.

-Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp gets a New Release Date on April 7th.

-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings And The Lost Ocean remake is announced in collaboration with Monolith Soft.

-A New Mario Baseball Game Series developed by Camelot. Releasing in June.

-A New 2D Game from Donkey Kong series releasing in Fall.

-Kirby Return to DreamLand Deluxe shows new Gameplay and presents the "Magolor Epilogue"

-The Game Vouchers are back for the Nintendo Switch Online members.

-The Next Wave for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass with Amsterdam Drift, Singapore Speedway and more. The Wave 4 releases in March.

-New DLC Xenoblade 3 content is announced too.

-A recap from previous games announced like Hogwarts Legacy, Tales of Symphonia, Octopath Traveler II and more.

-Silksong shows in the recap but still with a "2023" release date.

-At the end, a Zelda section. Starts with Aonuma on stage, annoncing new Amiibos, new Switch OLED and finally a 3 min trailer with lore and gameplay, release date on May 12th.

It sounds like someone took everything we've been discussing and make a leak out of it.
Including the part Nate said about nine Nintendo games and no new third party reveals. 😅

I cracked up at the Xenoblade 3 music line - it fits way better than it should.

And life is okay, friend. Thanks for asking. How are things around here? What games have you played recently? I'm currently experiencing burnout on PK Violet and its later-area frame rates. Good game, but endlessly annoying.
Believe it or not I'm in the middle of a playthrough of Chrono Cross. 😅
Actually I should point out I started the year playing Radical Dreamers for the first time. That was a trip.

Nintendo Direct Predictions -

Monster Hunter announcement (thinking about what the direct would start with)
Third Party games that no one cares about (takes up the majority)
Kirby RTDL update (new mode)
Mario Kart Wave 4 reveal
Xenoblade Chronicles Expansion Pass update
WarioWorld remake (cmon Nintendo PLEASE)
Metroid Prime Remake (probably the middle announcement)
Zelda TOTK news
idk what else lol

My gaming muscles are great, I'm just poor as hell.
Had to buy a GamePass from an internet equivalent of a stranger in a dark alley (since MS doesn't deal with Russia right now) to get some free stuff for the future

A very reliable Marvel leaker.

If he know information about the direct, it is most likely because it contains a game that uses a Marvel license (probably Midnight Sun)

Let’s make our own “light” schedules post Zelda that actually rock. The definition used remember was no ten million+ sellers and 2D platformers are apparently fine.

Here’s what I want:

Pikmin 4
Xenoblade 3 Expansion
2D Mario
3D Donkey Kong
Mother 3
Fortune Street
Zelda Four Swords Adventures With Online Multiplayer + Lite Versions To Let All Your Friends Mooch Off You
Sin And Punishment 3 With Wii Remote accessory support
Metroid Prime 4 Demo Prologue Thing With Prime Remastered
Here’s mine (barring things already confirmed like DLC and Pikmin 4):
  • Game Boy/Game Boy Color for NSO (with Game Boy Advance for Expansion Pack)
  • New Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (EPD 10)
  • Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World port (Good-Feel?)
  • Super Mario Warriors (Koei Tecmo)
  • Super Mario Sports Mix (Square Enix)
  • ARMS 2 (EPD 9)
  • Detective Pikachu 2 (Creatures)
  • F-Zero 99 (Arika)
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising Remastered (I honestly have no clue who would do this)
  • Metroid Prime Remastered (Retro)
  • Whatever the hell EPD 1 has been working on since all of their external projects got moved to other divisions
  • Screw it. MonkEPD. Nintendo is going back to 8th gen and releasing 4 2D platformers in a single calendar year.

*With no buildup or talking before it, the Metroid Prime Remake trailer is shown in the Direct.

*Camera switches to Tanabe.

"While we are not quite ready to show Metroid Prime 4 just yet, we hope that this reimagining of the very first Metroid Prime will do for now. We will have more details to share about the Metroid Prime 4 game later this year. But, for fans who want an early sneak peek, by completing Metroid Prime Remastered with 100% of items collected, you will be treated to a special teaser for Metroid Prime 4, which we will also share on our social media feeds a few days after the game's release. Please look forward to it."
