This'd be the bext Switch year evear. ZELDER? FZERO? 2D MEHRIO??!! SALIVA ON MY GAEMS???!213Bar Mario-something in June, and bar potentially Advance Wars and something on the eShop, I think the first half of 2023 is largely settled:
- January: Fire Emblem Engage
- February: Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe
- March: Bayonetta Origins
- April: Advance Wars Reboot Camp
- May: Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- June: Mario's Decidedly Middling Sports Game
Bear in mind in the same period Splatoon 3, Sparks of Hope, Mario Kart, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Fire Emblem Engage will all get some degree of DLC, and we'll get whatever additions Nintendo want to drip-feed for NSO.
- July: Tomodachi WORLD MOTHERFUCKERS, Baten Kaitos Spat On and Cleaned Up Edition
- August: you get nothing
- September: Pikmin 4, F ZERO GX HD
- October: New Super Mario World, Metroid Prime I'm Real Now Edition
- November: Animal Crossing: Whacky Spin-Off that Critics Say Meh To But the Masses Love
- December: no
And again, in the same period, you get DLC for at least 5 Switch exclusives, as well as the drip-feed on NSO and potentially/hopefully the GB/GBA NSO launch.
january's over - still stand with my opinion that we won't get any new info until march. I bet Nintendo shifted its development for next-gen and all the TOTK promotion will go till the end of switch lifecycle. So there is no necessary for Nintendo to talk about TOTK at the moment the game will sell graduallyTOTK does not need any advertising. The final trailer wont be released not sooner than two months before launch (same asi the BOTW). There were March directs. So there is not rush at the moment
im so thirsty fami
Please end January already
Bloomberg coming out with the scoops on Sony and Microsoft. They just need to run a Nintendo story to complete the trifecta.
Prepare for January 32nd tomorrow. Please end January already
good it was dumbThe reddit post about the 7th is gone.
There's gonna be a Direct in 2024.
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST
Price cut, this is going to be the most evergreen year of the system yet, where Nintendo markets the shit out of everything they've put out and makes damn sure that everyone who might buy a Switch has a SwitchThey already did:

The final nail in the 2023 new hardware coffin
I never got over the first reply in the Famiboards thread about this being a really gross vomiting reaction image. I don't know why someone would possibly have such a visceral negative reaction to "Nintendo is supplying more Switches to people who want them."They already did:

I've been shooting it in the face for like an hour straight. It just won't die...
Oh y'know what'd be perfect, your Mario Movie tie-in is 3D All-Stars coming back for a few months
So not even Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Super Mario Maker 2, Link's Awakening and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are major?I think Christopher Dring considered Luigi’s Mansion 3 as a major title. Anything less than that isn’t.
I mean, the only year without a major holiday title(in a sales sense, because even that year had Age of Calamity) was 2020... And that was Switch's peak year, Animal Crossing New Horizons year and 3D World was delayed.Dring has clarified that he still wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo averages a game a month, just no huge sellers after Zelda. Though I suspect his bar for huge seller is pretty high...
Mario Party and 2D Mario joining TotK would make 2023 have more major titles(as in sales megatons) than 2022, 2021 and 2020.Metroid Prime Remaster more and more looks like a summer reveal for fall release. Metroid Prime 4 revealed for a 2024 release. We’ll get Pikmin 4, 2D Mario, Tomadachi Life 2, Metroid Prime Remaster, Mario Party, Baten Kaitos this second half.
Yes. It's a case of "whatever happens, I'm right". Pokémon? Doesn't count because it's GameFreak. Pikmin 4/Metroid Prime 4? Don't count because they don't sell that big. 2D Mario? Doesn't count because it doesn't have the huge budget of TotK. Mario Party? Casual, doesn't count. DK? Sold 10M yeah but I meant selling more than 20M.yeah his claim is generally fairly meaningless and expected since the big sellers are all accounted for / will be saved for the next gen
there are the interesting exceptions like 2D Mario as noted earlier
I think at the very least remakes in 2024 is the safest possible assumption.I mean, Pokémon Ultra Sun/Moon was launched after Switch launch and Black/White 2 launched more than one year after 3DS launch. AND they were huge sellers. Wouldn't be surprised if there's another mainline Pokémon game is in works for current Switch right now. Especially after we got 3 big Pokémon game within just a year.
Yes, that never made any sense lol.If TotK was the last major release for the Switch then it would have been delayed to the Holidays, the fact that the game is releasing in May is a proof to me that Nintendo has another big game for H2.
And even without a major release, they are releasing 3 exclusive titles in the span of 2 months lol, I think they still have a ton of games to reveal for this year.
I don't think that means anything really other than they probably being pissed over 2020 and 2022, where they made their plans for the event, then the event got canceled and they had to make Partner Directs to maintain their contracts with 3rd party games and announce their games either too close to release on Twitter or something like that. Also, Nintendo not having a booth is big news. That means they don’t feel like they have enough enticing games to even get space for themselves. This has never?? been done before. That does speak to what’s coming later this year. If a huge title was coming like 3D Mario they would get space for people to play.
I think I don't exist tbh but I fully trust Emily so Metroid Prime Remake definitely exists.A few days ago I was pretty adamant that no Metroid would be seen in the February Direct, and that would be saved for E3.
But now E3 isn't happening for Nintendo, I have no idea what to believe.
Will they have another Mini Partner Showcase in June instead of a proper general Direct?
Will we even see Metroid Prime at all this year?
Does Metroid Prime even exist?
Do I even exist?
I think it'll be a mix of both. Some announcements will be pushed forward (like holiday games being announced on the February Direct) and some will be pushed back(H1 2024 games being September Direct). This is a pretty interesting point of view on things. We didn't have a Nintendo Direct last summer, but the holiday games had already been announced for a while by that point (Splatoon 3 in Feb 2021, Mario + Rabbids in June 2021, Bayonetta 3 in 2017, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in Feb 2022). But this year we have no clue what's coming in the back half other than Pikmin 4. If there's not a summer Direct this year, do they announce everything early? Or will Twitter announcements become normal?
It's gonna be super huge but I'm sure as hell they ain't gonna expect Animal Crossing New Horizons effect happening ever again.they already did, it's Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. It's doing double duty this year
Oh, so now it makes sense. The new report says LESS major stuff, not NO major stuff. I'm thinking 2D Mario is the exception.
Yeah, it's finally time I think. Hope it doesn't take long to be announced.2D Mario makes so much sense this year. Mario movie, Mario theme park land, and no new Mario games announced yet? Come on. The only question is when.
Hiring calls for a 2D Action Game by EPD10(iirc) were made back in 2019. This year would make for a reasonable development time.Whys everybody talking about 2D mario all the sudden?
Only rumor comes from zippo. Or am I wrong?
I thought he was not credible

How about a remaster of TTYD for the big Christmas game this year, make it so Nintendo.
It looks like they're having too much fun in this direct, that's how you know it's fakeAlright, to end January I've written out my Nintendo Direct predictions. I hope that people get a kick out of these, as I had a lot of fun writing them.

Everybody's 1-2 Switch
NOTES:
- April 28, 2023
- An online party game that uses smart devices so anyone can play, Everybody's 1-2 Switch with feature parties of up to 99 players competing in tests of pitch, artistic prowess, real-life scavenger hunting, and more!
- Pitch: the host plays or sings a series of tones that players must imitate
- Drawing: idk a drawing game, could be anything
- Scavenging: players are given a household object to find and photograph, like Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder. Factors in speed and accuracy.
- I really do think they'll try to salvage this, and I think the ideas I've conceived for a party game with smart device integration are interesting and use the available hardware well. The possibilities excite me, even with a rework.
- I'm going with April 28th for Golden Week. It will have physical copies that ship with the Zelda OLED.
- With physical copies, I feel there will be some sort of offline mode that doesn't require the app, even if it's minimal.

Notes:
- I believe in a Niantic-EPD collab Nintendogs mobile game (MyNintendogs) with a nice companion app on Switch (MyNintendogs Kennel?) but I think it'll be announced separately some time this spring. I'd love it to be in a Direct but I tried to go for "relatively realistic" here
- I really, really, really want an old Animal Crossing remaster. Like, really. But again, I had it pinned on Grezzo but they're making Jet Dragon (I guess)
- Nothing from the Namco Nintendo remaster listings yet.
- I'm not sure if it's GameBoy time yet, but I wouldn't be surprised. All the same, it might be saved for September or never come at all.
- Lastly, no Pikmin details yet! I desperately want them but that's not how Nintendo rolls. It'll show up in the summer for a fall release. With the massive merch push, I'm confident that they'll get it out in 2023.
Its's good and well written but I don't agree with E1-2 Switch, we know it ain't happening in the Direct. The Mario and Prime combo in June is just too big to happen, and I think that when they are showing Prime 1 they are showing Prime 4 (please don't anyone bring back the SSHD or Prime 4 at E3 2021) they know they need to show it with Prime 1.Alright, to end January I've written out my Nintendo Direct predictions.

The game isn't coming until at least next holiday, if not longer. I don't think Prime HD exists, but they don't need to show Prime 4 alongside it.You think that after all that time they will once again say: oh, we are not ready yet. Please stay tuned? I hardly believe it.
I mean, they did twice with TOTK, once with Age of Calamity and the second time with Skyward Sword HD. I think they've only done it once so far with MP4.You think that after all that time they will once again say: oh, we are not ready yet. Please stay tuned? I hardly believe it.

Obviously Nintendo isn’t going to have a direct next week and compete against the Fast X trailer reveal
TotK - announced at E3 2019I mean, they did twice with TOTK, once with Age of Calamity and the second time with Skyward Sword HD. I think they've only done it once so far with MP4.
