As for lots of ports and remasters announced/ rumoured for switch… they are brand new games for myself and others that have not had the pleasure. So it’s exciting in that regard.

My smooth brain 1. forgets games if I only played them once and it’s been a decade or so, and 2. doesn’t like how most old games look or play despite enjoying them at the time.

I’ll eat all the N64 and GameCube era remakes Nintendo wants to offer up. I also don’t believe remakes / remasters are going to take up any resources that would have been allotted to brand new games. They’re becoming increasingly necessary in the industry to subsidize the cost of new things.

MP4 hype cycle has to be the longest waiting I've had for any media stuff ever(well, there's that Friday the 13th reboot sequel that never happened, but it never had anything like an actual announcement so it doesn't count).
I was at my first year of highschool when it was announced, my last year of highschool when it was rebooted and probably will be at my last year of college when it releases 🥶.
Painful AF waiting lol
Can't wait for a reveal trailer, seriously.

While it definitely is technically possible as it's 4 years after the original, I'm more or less expecting it for 2024.
The original had a very short announcement to release time, being announced on the February Direct for a release in August.
I expect it being announced this year tho.

Really? I think that’s absolutely possible. The big story trailer for BOTW was around 1.5 months before launch, so I could easily see them wait until March to do a big story trailer and also combine that with invite preview events for press around the same time or so.

I just get the feeling Nintendo wants to wait as long as they possibly can before they have to blow the lid off of TotK.

They mentioned news on dragon quest 3 hd-2d remake in the new year. I suspect a Nintendo direct trailer. 12 is wishful thinking but exciting because they are changing things up it seems.

It's funny because at this point in the Switch's life, while I'm not really ready to leave the console as quickly as a lot of people, at the same time it would ... weirdly be kind of disappointing? If we started to get games that could be technical showcases or epic reveals coming out for the Switch rather than the Switch 2.

Like I want a new DK and 2D Mario as much as anyone, and I get those would be much bigger reveals than something like Astral Chain 2, but I'd be a little disappointed if we got something as epic as like an Astral Chain 2 or 3D Mario announcement for the Switch this late. You know, the type of titles that could really show off the next gen hardware.

Yeah, I ain't doing that again, the reason why I hide the message as I said it is something I heard not this is happening. If I did have more sources I would make an article by now and just post it on Twitter. The other week, I heard that Sony was going to reveal its new PS5 Model at CES which didn't happen tho I shared what I heard without profiting from it.
 
If something’s tagged as hidden for members only, just keep it on the damn site. Putting it up on Reddit is just silly for all parties.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII / XV was the worst for me. I was in middle school when it was announced and I graduated both high school and college and still had to wait years to play the final game. At least after college there was like five demos I played: Duscae, Duscae 2.0, Titan (Comic Con), Platinum, one other show demo. I forget which.

Kingdom hearts 3 for me.

I was like. “I’ll get a PS3 when that comes out” 🥲🥲🥲

And then I heavily disliked the actual KH3 so that also hurt. KH 2 and KH 1 are such great games.

I bought a PS3 in large part for Versus. Worked out though lol.
