Founder of Nintendo leaks mentioned a direct in January and a Reddit leaker who guessed many things correct within a day or 2 of announcements (who has flew under the radar and got tears of the kingdoms subtitle correct) asked if everybody was primed and ready…possible Metroid prime remaster news incoming. Also Nate mentioned something F-Zero 2023, there’s a separate topic on that.

Amazing recaps, y'all. Thank you so much. The hardware news at least sounds like it's not related to the Drake chip which is good, but with that other leak Supra mentioned, sounds like it's almost certainly not coming in 2023 if the leak pans out :(

Alternatively, a January direct with Prime info and presumably a blowout TotK trailer would be unbelievably exciting. Peaks and valleys!
 
Someone who calls themselves “Nintenleaks” or something along those lines, or in any way includes the name Nintendo in their page, is not reliable in my eyes lol. It’s so tacky

Yeah at this point I'm not assuming one way or another, just along for the ride (and for the crazy education I get from reading that thread).

My silver lining is that even if there's some big puzzle piece being missed regarding the chip and Nintendo does wait until 24 or 25, I'll just be thrilled to watch gaming culture continue to trash talk the current one while it keeps selling and selling and selling and... 😂😂😅😭

2023 is a pretty crazy year, no matter how you look at it. The first half especially so far is insane with stuff like Zelda, FF16, the Dead Space Remake, Jedi Survivor...

Zelda, Pikmin and FE are some of my favorite Ninty franchises, so 2023 is already looking to be the strongest Switch year, and maybe even strongest year in the 35+ years I’ve been gaming.

2019: Persona 5, a 2017 GOTY contender game, gets it's sequel in Persona 5 Scramble, an action RPG taking much from Musou and made by KT;
2020: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, another 2017 GOTY contender gets a prequel in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity
2022: Fire Emblem Three Houses gets a sequel/side game in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes
2023: imagine Super Mario Odyssey sequel being a Musou lol, give me please.

You have to figure, after Koei Tecmo getting most of its "Wishlist Musou" games granted in the last decade, it's all done to Mario or Star Wars.

And the former seems much more likely, at this point. A year that may have a Mario Musou as this calendar/fiscal year's Mario (spinoff) game, in the midst of other things like Zelda Tears, a new DK and Metroid Prime? That'd be a good look.

You could even base it off the movie, if you wanted to have that kind of synergy. At least it'd make sense to put Peach wielding a trident to good use, while using decent soundlikes because you can't/won't afford the likes of Pratt.

I work in the "How much do we hate our fans?" team. This morning we span the Hatred Wheel and it landed on "Utterly Despise", so we're waiting on Aonuma to take our call to see how he feels about cancelling Tears of the Kingdom.
 
Personally I work in the Fake Leaks department. I make twitter accounts where I spread false rumors so people get surprised when there is an actual Nintendo Direct.

Tbh I don’t want a direct that much. I’m already happy with FE Engage (almost 2 weeks left❤️), but I kinda want a Zelda trailer.

I dont think the listing was a mistake, usually in this types of leaks, the time that can exist between leak and announcement can be quite long.

In addition, Nate said the leak was real

So it's a matter of time, as happened with Alan Wake, which also took a long time to arrive after its leak.

I would put 1000 hours into a remaster of any past Animal Crossing game. Any of them.

I like New Horizons I'm just a big fan of the series and want them all readily available.

It's not the same, rating board leaks do have long time between leaks and actual announcements, like Astroneer, came out 2 years after the leak.

Batman is a retailer leak, whose announcement comes shortly after it. Like Ezio Collection. It's been almost a year since Batman "leak". Nate's confirmation was pretty vague, could have misheard something. Plus Arkham Knight is way above Switch's limits, unlikely to be even a "miracle port".

January is such a depressing time of the year for us Northern Hemisphere people. #TeamJanuary brings some positivity.

Store leaks also often have a long gap between leak and release.

In that same store they listed the TW3 for Switch and it took a long time to be announced and released.

RUMOR: Witcher 3 coming to Switch according to French wholesaler

Here’s the link to the wholesaler’s website. http://www.wtt.biz/Mobile/witcher-3-switch-c2x27809537 I remember Witcher 3 requirements being pretty high for PC, so I’m not sure if they port this onto Switch.

Also, we don't know if internally the game has had some kind of delay, as has happened with all recent warner games.
The game doesnt have to be advertised in a direct, Warner could announce it on its own

So, well, that's a matter of time and that's it, as happened with Tw3 and other leaks from stores and ratings.
