My most successful black friday was 2018 when I got God of War and Persona 5 for $20 total. Still haven't finished GoW but got a lot of time out of P5, even though I didn't play it until almost a year later.

I think with Nintendo first party games I usually get them at launch if I want them. The sales are nice but not usually enough to make me want games I might enjoy, like Origami King or Kirby Star Allies, for example. That might change this year though, because I've skipped a lot of Nintendo releases recently except for Dread.
 
Do nintendo do an e-shop sale for Black Friday? I genuinely can't remember, there are a few games I've been waiting for a sale for so I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah, I would definitely pick the 8BitDo, but the inability to wake the Switch would be a problem. Our Switch sits on an elevated shelf that he can't reach, so if he only had the controller he wouldn't be able to get it going.

I think I'll probably do the Splatoon Pro Controller. Apparently they still sell them in Japan, which is why they aren't as expensive as the Xeno2, Smash, and Monster Hunter ones.

I can definitely relate to that a while back. While recently I’ve been dealing with a pulled foot muscle which is finally better.

No, but seriously, Mario Party Superstars is a damn fine party game. My buddies and I had been playing Mario Kart 64 Battle Mode, but even that is on pause because we've been having so much fun with MPS.

Well I’m happy, physical switch version of SRW30 has the preorder dlc as a leaflet again and it doesn’t expire till oct 2022

If a company like SkipTheDishes and UberEats can predict, with accuracy within a minute or two, how long it’s going to take for my food to be delivered, how has Canada Post/Purolator not figured out how to roughly estimate when my package is going to be dumped onto my doorstep??? Equip the trucks with GPS, track a bunch of data, run some averages and tell me how long it’s gonna take for my stupid N64 controller to get here!!!

Amazon provides delivery time estimates. They even show where your package is on a map when it's 10 stops or less away.

Got that N64 controller finally!!!


Okay here are my absolute first impressions

1) I was kinda worried this was going to be smaller than I remember but it fits my adult hands pretty well

2) was the analog stick always this slippery???

3) did the analog stick always have this much tension??

4) DAMN this shit has fuckin 8K HDR RUMBLE. I can tell it’s got a spinning off-centre weight instead of the linear actuators of the joy-cons and pro controller. The rumble feels REALLY good here. HD rumble can kiss my butt.

5) the plastic feels a little slippery but it’s probably just because it’s new, and gonna wear off after a week or so
 
Welp.... Epic did it... they made my interest on Fortnite go up from zero...


Man... Chapulin it's like.. one of the biggest childhood figures I have! And they even added custom sound effects for his hammer, straight from the show! lol

The true test will be if these generate the white powder from the sticks breaking down from extended use. I won’t buy unless I can have that and dead skin cells filling the little pocket that houses the stick.

I've never really played the DS version's minigames so I can't really add much to this but I'm always a little bit sad when there's several versions of a game and none of them are the "definitive" version. It's not a thing unique to games but it seems way more prevalent.

I did a playthrough of Star Fox 64 for the first time in probably 5 years.

Man my aim was soooooo bad. I need to readjust myself lol.

Nintendo revising/fixing the N64 joystick after 20+ years is the most Nintendoeist thing imaginable.

Genuinely can't wait for the teardowns of this controller to see all the internal components and what's going on inside (and hopefully people making molds of the controller shell to swap off the grey)
