All Star Brawl seems like a fun distraction when the prices gets around $20-30 CAD. Though, just like Smash, I'd only be playing one character (Danny) lol.
 
Pondering if I should buy the fighter passes or just a few ones 🤔 tending to just a few ones as I don't play it much nowadays and it seems overkill
The double gold coins thing is ending in a few hours btw

I watched the new Venom movie. It's a bit worse than the first one, but I think more funny too. Eddie and Venom are some lovable silly idiots.

Yoshi's Story. That was the first N64 game I ever got as a kid! I have a cartridge of it but I can't wait to play it on the Switch just because...it's Yoshi's Story on the god dang Switch, man!! Finally!

The game looks solid, but it was clear that the hype surrounding it came from hardcore Smash fans, particularly the competitive side.

If I'm honest that Nickelodeon game feel like it will come eventually to Game Pass and thanks to that will enjoy a healthy userbase on Xbox. I can wait 😅

Same. Watched it this evening and I didn't enjoy it as much as the first.

The post credit scene though :oops:
 
I do legit wanna try Nick Brawl sometime (especially since it has rollback netcode...), but I'm kinda not dying to play another fighting game right now, and I wanna see things turn out with DLC and stuff. Can see it going down in price too.

I still have to see the second one, but I kinda really loved the bromance between Eddie and Venom so much in the first that more of the same is kinda right up my alley lol
 
Can't believe I have to wait until tomorrow to play N64 games on my Switch.

Nintendo just shot themselves in their Japanese culture. I don't know how much you guys know about experts (I'm a foot)...

I'm at that area too right now, but i have like no problems because i'm at lvl 75 already due to soul farming. Plus i made the detour to the Forbidden Area to get the (first playthrough) best weapon already, the Claimh Solais.

To be fair, i was at lvl 63 when i entered the Arena, but i had to kill like ... 240 Erinys and more than 100 Red Minotaurs before getting their souls and that is 500 Exp for the first and 1000 Exp for the latter for each kill so ... yeah ... go figure. ^^

Fuck the droprates of the Souls in this game.

Part of me wants to wait for F Zero X, part of me wants to upgrade sooner because of Irrational Purchasing Reasons. Either way I need to upgrade around Christmas to get maximum discount using the free 12 month base sub I have running through 2022.

Clearly, one of the world's biggest gaming brands would never sell on Switch without Uncle Nintendo's help.

I get the feeling without Uncle Nintendo it would either be digital only or at best come with the smallest possible cart and only have one of the games on it.

Oh absolutely. It shouldn't be necessary, because Rockstar would make their money if they put the effort in, but here we are.

That's excellent and hilarious news tbh. I wonder if they are distributing or publishing it. It means the full game should be in the cartdrige.

Also, if they are publishing, it could also be a voucher game 👀

Nintendo helped to distribute several high profile games like Skyrim, Doom and I believe The Witcher 3 too.

As long as the 32 GB cart prices don't come down (meaning as long as even Nintendo doesn't use them), it will be necessary. The price was outrageous last I heard.

I'd wondered if the prices might have come down, but presumably not given how few games use the 32GB option. If it turns out to be a voucher option, though, I do have a voucher going spare thanks to the Advance Wars delay...
 
Has anyone in the UK upgraded to the expansion pack? I want to see what discount I'll get but I can't seem to find the right page after going though Nintendo UK.

They probably have come down, but if they have that probably holds true for the smaller cards so it still makes sense to avoid using one as much as possible. GTA is probably one of the only IPs worth Nintendo cutting their licensing fee a bit though...

I don't believe we can upgrade yet! However if you take the number of days you have on your sub and do the following:

Changing from a Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership: £0.04 / day

Changing from a Nintendo Switch Online Family membership: £0.08 / day

you should be able to figure out your discount hah
 
So, at the exception of OoT, SM64 and MK64, how would you rank/what are your thoughts on the games of the initial NSO additional library ?

Wondering which game should I start first.

Cross quoting from the thread on Mario Odyssey 2, and while other people are asking for Mario franchises to become crossover events, I'm asking for the real big Nintendo crossover:

Nintendo World.

It's Nintendo Land but with more franchises represented, online multiplayer, and a story mode which can be played alone or with friends.

I don't think it's live yet, but you'll get 4p for every day left on your current sub.

Thanks both, I'll just have to wait until tomorrow then. I've got a family plan that I renewed a few weeks ago, so I should get an OK discount.

I'm In the same boat lol I renewed for a year on the 5th, I think the discount will bring it down to just over £30, £32 or thereabouts!

Cheers to a new week! It's rainy and gloomy here. Perfect stay at home weather. I need to finish my Links Awakening playthrough before next Friday. But I'm at work now. Sigh...

I think both systems are starting with strong lineups, MD/Genesis has the problem that many if not most of the games have been on almost every system under the sun including the Switch (though it's nice to have them on NSO as well).

Not sure how I’d rank them, though. My initial plan is to juggle Phantasy Star IV and shorter games like Sin & Punishment, Gunstar Heroes and MUSHA, all of which I can recommend.
