Weird. I've lived in 4 countries in 3 continents over 7 years and due to my job, been to a couple dozen countries. The stereotype of us is that we are friendly to the point of annoying and people want us to be silent. Especially Mt English friends, always thought we should shut up on elevators, lines etc.Have I ever told you that Americans are fucking cold compared to people in other countries?
Yeah, MercurySteam legit developed a conlang (based on the structure of English / Spanish) for Dread, which demonstrates an impressive commitment to the finer details, even despite the minimal voice acting featured in the game. The Chozo language lore in general is quite fascinating, and I can only hope they continue to expand upon it, in future Metroid games. On the fictional language voice acting topic, I loved the Chozo in Dread. Also liked the gibberish noises U-mos made back in Prime 2: Echoes, but Chozo being an actual spoken language was great.
This is true. We weren’t always on this path. That’s why it’s so funny when conservatives try to act like things like intercity light rail are some sort of utopian pipe dream that “wouldn’t ever work in America.” We used to have them!An often overlooked part of American history even domestically is the fact that we had rail infrastructure in the early 20th century, with a surprisingly robust electric network in the northeast. The politically-motivated decision to commit to the so-called "American dream" of everyone owning a suburban home and driving to work, get food, or do anything led to the destruction of existing infrastructure and the development of our current disaster. The United States chose an unsustainable development path and the consequences continue to mount in innumerable ways.
Can't wait to see your complete and long-term tonal shift if we ever get another SimCityI'm starting to find it funny that most of my serious posts are about urban planning and transit
I hate voice acting with people wordsAnyone else think that if Nintendo games have voice acting it should always just be a made up nonsense language rather than a real language? I first thought this when I was replaying Skyward Sword and there was some hylian or whatever spoken in the cutscenes and it just sounded so much better than the voice acting in botw.
The only exception is Mario, purely because Sunshine's voice acting is fantastic and hilarious.
they should make a video game about some kind of raccoon cityI'm starting to find it funny that most of my serious posts are about urban planning and transit
I hope the rumors of the Anniversary Edition hitting Switch are trueSkyrim just got placed at Number 4 on the E-shop featured page
They're not rumors, it's confirmed via ratings boards. It's only a matter of time. I was really shocked when it wasn't in the last Direct.I hope the rumors of the Anniversary Edition hitting Switch are true

Question 2: Take one of your favorite anime or cartoons and design a game around it and/or vice versa by taking one of your favorite games and tell us how you want it adapted into an anime, cartoon, or movie. If you have an idea for a sequel or spin off adaption that’s cool too!
Thanks DardenHappy birthday!
They're probably saving it for the Drake, there's no way the regular Switch can run a game as demanding as Skyrim...They're not rumors, it's confirmed via ratings boards. It's only a matter of time. I was really shocked when it wasn't in the last Direct.
Happy Birthday @xghost777 !

Thanks! As someone on the other side, it’s not that bad so far!I turn 30 very soon. I hate it so much. I feel old and buried.
But happy birthday!
Yep, being able to live in a big urban environment without a car is certainly a dream as a U.S. person. I fucking hate driving.
Y'all complaining turning 30. At least you're not a 38 year old guy who's eldest gave him the "You're out of loop" fatality.
Yeah, I've made two batches so far. First one was a bit of a bust since I didn't realize that the lid screwed onto the mesh filter too, so I had grounds in my coffee. But this batch has been wonderful.@Skittzo i just made a big pitcher of iced coffee. You able to try yours yet?
Not sure if I'm too old or two young but I have no idea who that is.thirty is not old
old is how you feel when you realize that the launch of the gamecube is closer to the launch of the famicom than it is to today
also Tegan & Sara just turned 42. just thought you’d all enjoy that little factlet
Gotta show the callow youth

I love how easy it is, takes like 3 minutes the night before.
Not sure if I'm too old or two young but I have no idea who that is.
Thank you, I suppose that is true, but as someone wh consistently lies awake feeling like life is soon over, it 'feels' very old. I do not like my birthdays for that reason, it just makes me feel negative. Thanks! As someone on the other side, it’s not that bad so far!
Rest in paprika, Ancient OneDude, it's 3v1 as my wife stays out of this. No way i win that in the future.

I think this says more about botw's poor quality va than anything else lmao.Anyone else think that if Nintendo games have voice acting it should always just be a made up nonsense language rather than a real language? Retro also created a whole new language based on if im not mistaken the position of your hands, like sign language. For Echoes ofc.Yeah, MercurySteam legit developed a conlang (based on the structure of English / Spanish) for Dread, which demonstrates an impressive commitment to the finer details, even despite the minimal voice acting featured in the game. Interestingly, each Chozo tribe, or subculture, appears to have developed its own, independent alphabet.
