I’m pretty sure it’s like 30-32 hours or something (to be exact). Hence why it won’t be a General. Monday morning announcement for a General Direct is for a Tuesday afternoon, which means many countries will be on June 29th.
If they announce it 15:00 in Europe it could still be the next day. Although Japan would complicatie things if the direct is truly June 28

Glad we finally have definitive official confirmation about it being a late September Mini Direct GC Remake Partner Showcase Treehouse

All I want is the Metroid Prime Remaster announcement next week and I’ll be happy

If Metroid Prime Remaster is the only other first party game coming to Switch this year that hasn’t been announced then I am feeling a Mini will be more likely.

I’m still on the train of a smaller thing next week showing 3rd party stuff and maybe Metroid Prime Redux. The rest of the summer will have single game dedicated Directs (Splatoon 3, Pokémon) then end of September will be a proper General Direct detailing first half of 2023 releases along with a BotW 2 blowout.

I would love this + Bayonetta 3. With this two and M+R 2 all but confirmed It would be a killer line up for 2022.

Sadly I'm already coping with the idea of Bayonetta sliding into Early 2023, but never Say never.

I’m losing hope on Bayo 3 too. This can still be one of the better years for Switch in the end

MP1, FE and M+R would be a good outcome for me, but I can’t fathom how they’d have all three of those and still call it a Partner or Mini. Really hard to know what to expect at this stage

What’s everybody playing these days?

Yes yes we know nobody plays games in this thread but really…

Finished 13 Sentinels a couple weeks ago and am nearly done with Triangle Strategy. Highly recommend both

Just finished Elden Ring, now back on Legends Arceus. Loving the game so far.

I’m playing Fire Emblem Three Hopes. I’m enjoying it so far.

I just have a feeling we're gonna be on the classic "what the hell does 2023 have besides BotW2" train until the Spring direct next year.

Really enjoyed Elden Ring until close to the end when I stopped being able to cheese as much and burnt out on it. I was actually on the Elden Beast, fought it once and kinda just stopped playing haha

Did you play AoC? Three Hopes looks pretty decent, but I despised AoC in retrospect. The time travel + everybody’s here from the future + we stop the calamity story soured the whole thing. The source material was too precious to me

What if we get the Fire Emblem remake announced first? Remember the rumor is there’s a remake and there’s a new game. Insiders tend to get the dates wrong. Maybe with a Mini we get the Fire Emblem remake announced.

Imagine if we got a Tokyo Mirage Sessions sequel? A partner direct would be totally worth it in that case.

The devs of TMS decided the Switch is for suckers and they made Soul Hackers 2 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.

It's never happening.

I think TMS didn’t do particularly well despite getting two bites of the cherry on WiiU and Switch, so I don’t think we’ll see it again. Crazy idea for a crossover though, it’s creative at least.

I’d be very happy. It’s all the same to me as long as the production quality is decent - I’ve only played Three Houses

I remembered playing Gex: Enter the Gecko as a kid and enjoyed it. I enjoyed lots of shit games tho so that doesn’t say much.

Which are you playing and how?
I'm playing the second one, emulated on my steam deck. So far it's pretty okay! I can not get the analogue stick to work though, so I'm stuck playing a 3D platformer with the directional buttons, which is bad! My thumb aches now!

But I'm liking the levels themed off of iconic tv genres-Horror, Kung Fu movies, Looney Toons, ect. Makes me think about what level themes they'd do for a current gen Gex game...

one of the worst boss in the history of Soulslikes.

I mostly enjoyed the game, but Boss selection and difficulty balance are not top notch quality.

Happy to see 13 Sentinels love!

I'm a fair bit into AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative and I'm already hooked HARD. Uchikoshi you mad lad.

The Nintendo Direct will be focused on third parties. This guy usually has information 1 week before when there is going to be a direct, and this time they told him that he would be focused on third parties. This in Spanish

The February direct also notified it 1 week before

interesting.

So I wonder, if this gentleman is right, and Metroid Prime HD is a no show but somehow still internally scheduled for late 2022, when the game will be showed. twitter drop with trailer and date? later showcase for a new hardware? september direct?

It’s also worth noting that Nacho usually knows about Directs beforehand when they are General ones. I think he’s never predicted a Mini or Partner.

Started Returnal since that new ps plus just launched. I kinda like it but can already tell I won't be able to master it/beat it. On Switch im very early in to The Wild at Heart, it's like an indie Pikmin. Haven't played in a few days but I'll get back to it

Started Mario Strikers 3 days ago. First strikers game for me and I was not sure about it but in the end I'm having a lot of fun with it. Progression curve feels nice right now, the game has a lot of atmosphere, gameplay is perfect...a bit light on content though.
I also have to start 13 sentinels (only game in my backlog) but I'm not in the mood for a story heavy game right now.
