Welp
After a month of not being able to bring myself to play a game, I'm gonna try.

I'm gonna try to play a game.

Wish me luck yall.

I unapologetically think that Miis are the best thing Nintendo has made in the last 20 years in terms of a new franchise. Wii Sports/fit and the Street Pass games are probably my most played since 2006, so I absolutely love the Miis.

Finished 13 Sentinels. Now it’s time to start the Three Houses replay, only this time I’m doing all 4 routes in preparation for Three Hopes.

StreetPass Plaza games will be the saddest thing to be lost to history after the 3DS eShop closes.

You are gonna burn out, no? Lol

Fire emblem is my favorite series and even I couldn’t do more then one route when I first beat it. Took over a year off before returning.

That game is exhausting like no other fire emblem game

Managed a little more Pokemon Legends tonight. Alarming sign are the headaches and fatigue kicking in when I try to use the Switch; a sure sign I'm in the red light territory when it comes to symptom severity.

Might try again for a bit, or stick a film on instead.

I’ve been focused on my backlog as of late. Beaten five games this month, two of which were lengthy. I do have motivation issues to play from time to time though

I’ve started katamari damacy rerolled earlier as my next backlog game

Is Bugsnax on switch a good port? I had gotten it for free on ps plus ages ago but I am curious about it on switch

Didn't realise Three Houses had so comfortably cleared 3 million. Fantastic.

Is there an update for Link's Awakening??

based and correct

It's amazing how easy it is to ignore all the acquisition fanboy discourse when 90% of your gaming diet is Japanese and indie.

Not losing sleep over the thought of someone buying WayForward or Square Enix.

I still don't understand why they decided to 'remake' Dragon Quest X into this chibi things when they already had all the assets of the original game. It looks like an HD 3DS game.

I think mystery dungeon was a hard sell for people at 60. I loved it and I still though it was expensive

While I personally liked how it looked. It did look a bit cheap. And lot a bit of charm that the sprites had. Music was great tho.

That and the game isn’t a good reviewer lol. Explorers of Sky is amazing and the review will tell you it’s very mediocre to below average

I’m forever angry that they said they’d make an offline version for western players and they won’t localize it.

That's a weird way to spell "Toy Story 3." Or "Coco."

Ratatouille isn't even top 5 Pixar. I will die on this hill.
Ironically. I felt films you mentioned are nowhere near Pixar best.

Tho as a Mexican. Seeing Coco was pretty cool. Tho I felt the film was as strong narratively has other Pixar film. A visual treat tho.

Toy Story 3 isn’t as nowhere near good as the first 2. But that film came out when I turned 18 and graduated high school. So that ending hit me hard.

Wow, Three Houses doing nearly 400K in just 6 months is super unexpected! And this is data from nearly a year and a half ago! I feel like it's gotta be pretty close to 4m at this point, and may end up crossing it eventually. This just makes me extra curious and excited to find out what the next new FE is like lol. I wonder how well it's gonna sell, and whether or not it'll surpass 3H's sales 🤔 (and if it does, then by how much I wonder?)

I think Up is my favorite Pixar movie. Asian-American co-lead. The intro was one of Pixar's best. The movie has a good message about finding new meaning and joy in life even as we get older.

I strongly believe we will eventually get a Explores remake, question is would it be sky. We cant tell with DX

Well we’ll just have to wait and see lol. I only did the one route back when it came out and then the DLC chapter.

Eeehhh...looking cheap didn't stop BDSP from selling gangbusters, and IMO Rescue Team DX's artstyle looks better. You are right though, I don't think the games are ever going to that well with the critics, which is whatever at this point. 1.6M in less than a year is more than Super did in it's entire run so it did well enough for TPCI (at least I hope).

Morning fami, and I wish y'all a great weekend!

I've been having massive sleep problems lately. Waking up several times per night, sometimes having multiple dreams.

I have TWEWY waiting for me today, but I'm gonna put it off until I finish Opus: Echo of Starsong.

my favourite part of Pixar’s Soul was when they absolutely clowned on the Knicks

idk what I would say is Pixar’s best but tbh I really loved Onward a lot. That one seems to have maybe not had the best reception though? I don’t get it. I loved it.

Play an actually slow or somewhat boring game before going to bed lol maybe that will help

Hopefully it’s a good game
It isssss

I hope this goes well for you; I have been having a difficult time doing this myself this year.
Thanks! I'm in the middle of a move and everything feels weird like I'm in a limbo just waiting for the next step, like I shouldn't fill my time with anything that doesn't apply to the move. Can't relax enough to do anything but.. wait. 😅
Hopefully both our years shape up soon. 👍

Okay this cracked me the hell up 🤣

Katamari is so cooool omg!!
I played it to completion in one sitting, with friends watching. We were howling in the last level. That game is so beautifully wonky.

I'm impressed by how you found a way to quote me without quoting me.

Ratatouille is Pixar’s best film.

Accept the truth.
My favorite Pixar movie is The Incredibles.
My second-favorite Pixar movie is Incredibles 2.
Turning Red was rad as hell tho

My top 3 Pixar movies could be:
Onward, Toy Story 2 and Ratatouille. It's hard to make a list because there are a lot of masterpieces and very few that are passable. Their last movies are absolute bangers : Luca, Soul, Turning Red, Onward. It's good to see original concepts with amazing plots and characters.

I think Ratatouille is probably the best one but Coco came out during a very difficult time for my girlfriend and I so it was the most impactful. It's a good thing we know the cinema manager because we needed some time after the credits hit.

I think Toy Story 3 is my favorite Pixar film. I always wanted to like Toy Story more than I did since I really liked the characters (I had a lot of those toys), but not the full film they were in (mainly the stuff with Sid across the street) and I never liked Toy Story 2 at all. I really liked Toy Story 3 from start to finish and the ending hit me since it was the year I was going to college. Toy Story 4 was weird, mixed feelings on that one.

Up, Wall E, and Turning Red are all great films too. I actually haven’t seen every Pixar film and most I haven’t seen start to finish in forever. I really have to start watching/rewatching all their films one day.

YES. No other movie, except maybe Ramen Teh, has ever came close to Ratatouille in terms of explaining what cooking should be, and why it's actually the most important thing in the world.

The other two best Pixar movies are Luca, because it's basically a Miyazaki movie, and Monsters, Inc. Although I also have a soft spot for A Bug's Life (the best cinematographic adaptation of Karl Marx's Das Kapital) and Finding Nemo, arguably one of the most flawless movies ever made.
