That was the worst part by far, yeah. That and getting
spiritomb
Definitely tedious, but what made it a little easier was
flying around on Braviary at night. For whatever reasons those little purple flames would spawn on the map no matter how far away you were. Only needed a guide to seek out the last one I needed for Mt Coronet.

Yall I want this

Something tells me if Metroid: Other M used an N64 controller for input it would have been a lot more tolerable for me to complete (story elements aside)

Not if you transparently highlight that you only sell 2. I didn’t need 2 since I have it on the Wii U but wanted to play one. No complain from the buyer, he was only looking for 2.
I've been selling stuff secondhand on the internet for 20 years. People never read the listings. 😅

they should make a shmup dating sim where you date ships from different scrolling shooters

vic viper best ship don't @ me
So, people who are really into the idea of some of the ships dating one another would be ship shippers? Where does it end?!?!?!

Been checking the Nintendo online store every day for the past month for an N64 NSO controller restock. Sometimes it feels like Nintendo doesn't want my money 😭

manufacturing stuff, especially weird stuff like an N64 controller, is really tough right now

Ayo all, I found this playlist and I'm all in my feels like you would not believe.

There's a link to a Spotify playlist in the comments so I know what I'm gonna be driving to tonight, but does anyone else have recommendations from 2013-2018 that kinda fit this vibe?

This playlist has reminded me that I am officially "not into popular music" (which isn't really a surprise) since I think I have heard a grand total of one of these songs before (can't feel my face). Other than maybe hearing one playing in a restaurant/mall/etc. or something. The vibe is good, though, I agree!

Kavinsky's OutRun album is a good starting point. Vector Hold's older albums like Classics might fit too?

Haha, honestly I'm not typically into pop music like it either, but that first time I heard the opening notes to Unforgettable I just had a vivid astral projection flashback to those university parties I attended a decade ago and never knew what the song was but recognized the melody instantly.

Dunno, just feels like the kind of driving vibe on a summer evening that my friends and I could do almost any given weeknight when we were in school, before we had careers instead of jobs, before marriage and kids, before house hunting and ending up in cities/provinces/countries away. Feels like the ghosts of those people are still next to me while driving (thankfully still happy and healthy, but...y'know?)

Honestly that reminded me that Nightcall had a vicegrip on the cultural zeitgeist for a hot minute, probably would go into my own custom playlist I'm building off that. Though I've also thrown on Wait - M83, Are You With Me - Lost Frequencies, Waves - Mr Probz/Robin Schulz, and Rivers - Thomas Jack

I know dat vibe
Feels good bad real, man.

License IPs but sell Studios?

Wonder how that will work with some of their studios
That was my question. I think if this goes through you might see an exodus of people. Because a) they might be force to make something new, b) they want a fresh start and go start their own studio

Would this mean they would still retain MK or only WB ‘original’ IPs?

Also I find funny when everytime a decent biggish studio it’s ‘on sale’ they just name the 7 biggest non-Nintendo publishers as possible buyers it just feels like there is no reason to post it when possible buyers are always the same. I guess this time there is PUBG Corp. at least that’s a newer name in these discussions

I think I finally understand those people who can't stop talking about how BoTW is a disappointment, because Elden Ring is giving me startlingly similar feelings

I just don't think the franchise takes well to an open wor-wait

I mean, I think it's a good game, it's just not a good FromSof-oh god no what have I become

It's one thing to not like the new take on the series, but it's another thing to spend the following five years banging on about it incessantly at the most tenuous opportunities.

yeah, people who really liked old Zelda are screwed

So what's the Pokemon community's excuse?

runs and hides

Ah but see I'm also getting the urge to spend the next five years doing that with Elden Ring, so I can see where the impulse comes from

I won't, because I know how annoying that is firsthand, but I can at least sympathize now

Edit: I should also note that I still have time to change my mind on Elden Ring, I'm still fairly early on after all. It just isn't really hooking me the way I'd hoped it would

I would personally pick Bioshock, Death‘s Door, God Eater 3 (yes it is), Castlevania Advance Collection and Ruined King.

100% get Death’s Door
also Castlevania Advance Collection

Weekend is still young, I will likely get more games :p

But for now I got:
Ruined King
Arise A Simple Story
Far: Lone Sails
God Eater 3 (3 friends to play with)

I'd 100% get Death's Door as well, but I think it's one gamepass so I might play it there, but I'll probably buy it on Switch as I want to play it there..

y'all like video games???

embarrassing tbh wouldn't be me
This is because Yakuza is not simply a video game but audio-visual art.

(I just got a three month GamePass trial on PC. 3, 4, 5 or LAD? Didn't see the others listed unless I overlooked them when scrolling)

Yakuzas 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 got removed from GP a few months ago. Normally I'd suggest starting with 0, but with the line-up you have available to you, LAD would be good to start with! As long as you don't mind turn-based combat.

I have no idea what to expect outside of out-of-context gifs used as memes, so I'm totally fine with that 😋 The bigger struggle is if I can fit in a quick playthrough of Mirror's Edge for the first time in over a decade since I last played it on 360

For most of my life the only way I was finding out about "popular" songs was when I'd hear their parodies on a Weird Al album first.

yeah, people who really liked old Zelda are screwed
I really liked old Zelda
I also really like BotW
I don't know who I am anymore

My only suggestion is to treat each Yakuza game like a prestige television miniseries. There are chapter breaks that will offer you good spots to stop if you want to take a break to play something else. That said, I would also highly recommend making sure it's a game you'll have time to really sink yourself into like a hot bath.

Enjoy, fam! I hope you love it! :)
