I thought we would see an indie World GDC week but nothing, maybe this week? Although I would have thought Nobody Saves the World would have been kept for an IW reveal.

With Zelda delayed, and not being a Sports / Pokemon / Fire Emblem kinda guy, I find myself with relative little to look forward to this year. E3 will probably have something nice in store, but it's a bit deflating for sure :p .

Any recommendations for single player FPS games with gyro, which don't involve shooting humans? Have already played the Dooms and Quake to death xD .

It’s kinda with humans (very abstract though) and it doesn’t have gyro, but I can absolutely recommend Superhot. It’s very inventive, one of the most intuitive games I‘ve played. Kinda like a very good Nintendo title, it has one main mechanic which is drastically different from any other game and it explores this idea in every possible way.

FEH is the only mobile game I play tbh lol (I played Dragilia Lost but got burnt out so badly). Although I am interested in trying out Octopath mobile game and see how it is.

Looking at footage I often get the feeling that it's more puzzle-oriented? I really enjoy the mentioned shooters because of the reflexive flow state they induce, while Superhot looks a bit start-stoppy. I might be wrong and the start-stoppyness could be to show off the hook for trailers.

Yeah.. it’s definitely a more strategic game so if you’re not into that maybe it isn’t the game for you. But you can get into the flow

Some of these games surely are quality titles, but I just can't with playing on my smartphone. It's probably similar to how others feel about us playing on a handheld, haha.

So I worked my first shift at a new job on Saturday, only to get a call from my coworker that she tested positive for COVID right after work. We were in close proximity all day.

Since then, I've been getting sicker and sicker. It's gonna be a wild ride, wish me luck

Oh man, I've been there. My roommate also just had a close contact this weekend with a friend at our apartment, who has since tested positive. I've already had COVID back in January so I hope I'm still in the clear. Best of luck to you! Lots of hydration and take Tylenol/Motrin as you see fit.

Thank you!! Yeah it is absolutely sucking so far... I woke up several times last night with a really sore throat.

Drinking water hurts like heck but I gotta do what I gotta do
 
NDA is over so now I can urge you guys to buy 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim on the Switch. Not only it’s an excellent, beautiful, very very well-written game (but you already know that), but the Switch version is the superior version.

It doesn’t make the fan go crazy like it did on the PS4, and the RTS battles are smooth. Very few drops at maybe 25 fps on the last couple battles but overall it runs way better than it did on my PS4 slim. A real gift from Atlus and Vanillaware to have this game running on the perfect console to enjoy it.

I am looking forward to it, not sure yet if I will get it on release or at a later date. Care to specify if handheld feels compromised in any way?

Secondly - I'm fed up because I wanted to go to the gym for the first time in like 2 weeks (anxiety + stress + bad habits led me to not wanting to go) but I've lost my card and I can't get one for a few days.

At least I've got Beat Saber and Ring Fit :p

This makes me very excited. I haven't ordered it yet and as I'm still busy with Triangle Strategy and life lol.
 
I encourage all of you to listen to Nate's podcast, but if you can't for some reason, here's the TLDR;



BOTW 2 delay isn't to take advantage of a simultaneous release with Switch Pro, but it could end up working in the console's favor if they launch at the same time.

WW HD / TP HD should come this year. Unsure of double pack or separate releases but hopes for the former.

The happy, unexpected news: Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is back on the menu for 2022, will drop this holiday.
 
Can Namco speed things up a little? I wanna play Soul Calibur on my Switch. I don't care which one, I'm even ok with that SC on PSP.

Their 2022 lineup on Switch is very abysmal. More classic Pac-man and Taiko games? We already have plenty of them. Where are Tekkens? Where are Ace Combats? Where are other Katamari games? It's a baffling as hell fact that Switch still doesn't have a single 3D fighter game. Even 3DS had some.
