Nah, you haven't missed it. Originally he stated it was due to scheduling conflicts with MVG, but shortly after in the hardware speculation thread he mentioned he was doing more research on the subject which is why he's been so quiet as of late. I imagine though it'll be a pretty substantial episode at this point whenever it does drop

Thanks for the info, hoping its some good new details when it is ready

Trying to redeem platinum points in the european shop as a scandiavian is just a massive struggle.

20 something minutes later and finally, it worked. The 4 triangle strategy pins are mine at last :p
But since they refused to let me combine shipping for the two it cost me 14 euros. Amazing.

With Kirby releasing imminently, the amiibo series are going back into print.

I've already snapped up a Kirby amiibo so I can get the Mii suit in MK8D. (Also got some more AC wrapping paper. That stuff is lush.)

Alright so I'm in a bit of a weird transitionary spot, will likely be moving soon. Currently have a neat little gaming spot set up that I've been very comfortable with, played everything from Splatoon onwards here. Not sure what sort of setup I'm gonna have at the next place (or if I'll even be able to set up for gaming at first), not sure exactly when the move is gonna happen but it's looming along with some other major life changes, and for some reason I feel like I dont wanna get into a game that I'm really gonna care about and get deeply invested in and end up being sorta destabilized in the middle of the game by the move and everything. So I figured I aughta find something in my backlog that I'm not all that into and am mostly trying out of curiosity, so that if everything in my life blows up in the next month or two it at least won't goof my game up.

So I guess it's time for me to start Nier Automata.

Ah, another HermitCraft fan, nice! Been following them for a few seasons now. This time around I picked Gem, Pearl and Impulse to watch.
I'm just so addicted to it! I discovered it during lockdown and am loving seeing what they each are coming up.

I primarily watched the Boatem crew last season so this time around I'm doing my best to expand out to the others. Gem is wonderful(or Geat if you will lol), love her little treehouse, in fact, this time around I think I'm really into the quaint building styles like Stress's Tea Set home or even iskall's little camp ground area more than the elaborate starter bases(which are impressive no doubt, with Scar and Pearl on the server how could they not be?), there's just something skillful about making something really simple in concept and yet still really charming.(Grian's boulder comes to mind, at least how it looks currently anyway lol)

Of the Hermits I'm less familiar with, I'm really loving Bdubs, iskall, Stress, Gem, Zedaph, Keralis, and Docm77 so far this season. What a batch of characters lol. And I just love how much they are interacting with one another this year.

My attempt to watch everything is making me really appreciate how much time and work goes into this sort of thing tho. There is almost more to keep up with than the MCU... but I like this stuff better so I don't mind lol ;p

Buddy Mission : Bond HAS to release in May, there's no way we won't have a Nintendo game this month. Mario Strikers is gold since a few months I think, they could have easily released it in May since we already have so many games in June.

Too close with Switch Sports which has a football minigame (even if the audience of both while similar are not really same), I don't think they are going to hurt each other sales/playerbase in an important way but they want to space sport releases imo
edit: I agree no games on may sucks

Only on Chapter 4 of Triangle Strategy, and I can see what people have said about it being very text-heavy and a lot of non-battle time, but at the same time... I think it's working for me? At least for now. The characters and plot are interesting enough, albeit a little slow. Feels fairly similar to the early parts of Three Houses.

The voice acting is a little odd, though. Most of the time it's fine, if a bit uneven, but overall it feels like the direction is just a little off somehow.

I really can't get into Yakuza 7. I don't want to play another JRPG right now, maybe I should buy Yakuza 0 or wait for Judgment to come to gamepass.

If it's the pacing that's throwing you off in that JRPG equation, I'd say that from my experience 0 has pretty slow and sometimes inconsistent pacing as well. Not sure it would be a remedy if that's your issue.

If not then it should be fine. It's fun from what I've played!

May has nothing announce from any company, I think. I though it was gonna show up in the feb direct and have the same release as Famicon Detective. I wish it atleast had english support so I can import it.

if your Kirby gets red around the gills it might be ammonia poisoning or septicemia. make sure you do frequent water changes and check your parameters!

Some people can do ridiculously amazing paint jobs on kits(I sadly am not one of them right now) so here’s a cool one from the web

I had a day 1 cart of Pokémon Sword that of course got the 2.8gb expansion update. Later I bought the game+DLC cart which comes with version 1.3.0?

It still forces me to download all the updates I ever got on the original cartridge. I know this is a thing on Switch but does anyone know a workaround so it will recognize the new cart is 1.3.0 and I can save the 2.8gb of space?

It even continued doing this when I transferred everything to the OLED, which me surprised me. That thing never had my original base game cartridge in it.

While technically not yet spring, it was pretty warm today. Something about the spring weather just makes me think of early 2000s RPGs for whatever reason. I think it triggers disjointed memories in me being back in high school. I think of games like Final Fantasy X, Tales of Symphonia, Dragon Quest VII, Kingom Hearts, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I even get nostalgia for games I didn't play like Tales of Legendia, .Hack, and Dark Cloud 2.

For some reason when I think of games from that era, I imagine games with beaches and lush forests. I feel like that was the vibe many games of that generation were going for. Of course there are games that still give off those vibes today but I don't know, it just feels like there was more of it during that generation.

There were a LOT of beach/island visuals in that era, for whatever reason. Early 2000s had Chrono Cross which is almost entirely tropical islands, FFX which the entire first half is basically all tropical islands, one of the first main towns in Symphonia is Palmacosta (no points for guessing some themes of that one), Kingdom Hearts starts out on a tropical island, etc. I have no idea why that was such a common theme in those years, but you’re absolutely right that it was.

Don’t forget Super Mario Sunshine and PMTTYD
