Maybe we can get Paul McCartney to rewrite the lyrics to Band on the Run, but with Tommy Tallarico as the main character. It can be the encore for Video Games Live.Reviews on the Run? more like Tommy on the Run!
oh boy
Dude... lolBoy do I feel bad backing Video Games Live albums on KS. Even though their tier structure was always garbage with a slightly scummy feeling that they were just confusing enough to screw people over in hopes they would overcommit. I honestly hope that whole endeavor was more above board than the Amico seems to be.
I will die on the hill of the Amico actually being a good idea, but Jeebus what a debacle.Dude... lol
how this amico thing keeps getting more out there
I just want you to know I appreciated itThis might not be the audience for it, but that was a good joke and I am very proud of it.
It's just the early balance changes, every single From game has these. They drop the power level of a few of the things that are pretty obviously OP or not working as intended, and raise the power level of some things that weren't as useful or didn't quite hit the mark. It looks like a lot of magic and many other things got buffed pretty well, far more than was nerfed. They apparently don't even want players to create their own "easy modes" using mechanics the game offers. No, everyone has to suffer through these broken-ass bosses equally.
That's pretty common to most devs in my experience. I've encountered similar things in Path of Exile and Diablo 3 and others. Exploits/OP things, or things that the devs decide are too good in the player's favor, get hotfixes; things being broken and not working well enough or things being too underpowered get patched... eventuallyIn Destiny, if there's something that is game breaking or not working properly to the player's determent, Bungie can take days, weeks, and even months to patch up the game. But if player's find an exploit that gets them loot quicker or makes certain parts easier, Bungie will drop a hot fix within two days.
oh boy
No need to regret it or apologize! There's a lot of "git gud" jackasses out there who seem to make it their life's mission to attack anyone who dares mention that a Souls game should really get an easier difficulty mode. It's unfortunate that it's such a vocal group in the Souls community who as a whole, in general at least I think, is very welcoming and happy to help out.Sigh, forgive the venting, and I know I'll regret this post, but I really dislike the influence of the soulsborne genre/philosophy in gaming, and especially the attitude it fosters.
So many games I'd love to be able to play, but I can't, because the developers decided to deliberately exclude people like me. Because fuck people who weren't born with great motor skills or reflexes, apparently.
It's hard not to feel excluded when even the suggestion that a game give the option of being more accessible for us is met with anger, hostility, and derision. Being completely able bodied is a privilege not every human being enjoys.
Yeah the whole "git gud" culture is uh... not my vibe either. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the complexities that a lot of modern AAA games layer into gameplay, and it can sometimes feel more like a chore rather than a hobby. I can't imagine what it must be like to have popular game design evolve in a direction that makes it physically difficult for someone to interact with. It's hard not to feel excluded when even the suggestion that a game give the option of being more accessible for us is met with anger, hostility, and derision. Honestly buying a house is as alien a concept to me as becoming the Elden Lord in the new hit game, Elden Ring.
thinkin about how I spent the past seven years working and fighting to make/save enough money to buy a house and finally actually met a major milestone this year only to have house prices skyrocket out of my achieved range so uh, I'm doing also bummed
Yeah, that's basically where I'm at. The goalposts are moving away faster than I can save. It's depressing. At least we have video games!

I'm a Souls fan and will never not support adding accessibility features to these games. There are all sorts of optional features they could add to let more people enjoy these games (or any other games for that matter). There really is no justification as far as I'm concerned.Sigh, forgive the venting, and I know I'll regret this post, but I really dislike the influence of the soulsborne genre/philosophy in gaming, and especially the attitude it fosters.

EDIT: No ill will to those who genuinely enjoy souldborne games but who aren't jerks about it of course, I know not everyone is like that.

Oh no it's fine! I hope I didn't come across as a 'not all souls fans' response, either.Thank you.
I should (and now have) have clarified in my post that I bear no ill will towards the many fans who don't do that "git gud" thing and just genuinely enjoy the genre, best wishes and happy gaming. Just wish I could join in is all.
lol this is terrifying
Every once in a while they put out something fun. I hope they do it more often in addition to news/trailer drops.Did Nintendo get a new social media manager? Some of their tweets over the past few weeks or so are noticably weirder than the typical corporate boilerplate they used to put out.
Jesus Suswave, I'm so sorry about that. Can't imagine how rough it is for you right now* Hidden text: cannot be quoted. *
I almost downloaded this last week. Are the micro-transactions intrusive and in your face? The new Hitman Sniper game is fun, I just wish I didn't have to play it on my iPhone.

oh boy
itโs so good, I hope whenever you find time for it that it fills you with joyOlliOlli World is speaking to me, but I have so many games in my backlog and I'm working so many hours that I literally cannot pick up a controller until the weekends.
see Iโm actually disappointed that weโve had so few Wii U ports in the past couple years
and I have a Wii U
itโs so good, I hope whenever you find time for it that it fills you with joy
I want Yoshiโs Woolly World and Paper Mario Color Splash dammitWell to be fair, there just isn't that much left. It's really just the GCN Zelda remasters and Xenoblade X.
After that, it's just scrapping the bottom of the barrel with shit like The Devil's Third, or games build entirely around the Wii U Gamepad like Nintendo Land and Star Fox Zero.
I want Yoshiโs Woolly World and Paper Mario Color Splash dammit
I could see them skipping Kirby & the Rainbow Curse since itโs so touch-screen oriented
I mean they might skip all of them but I would really prefer at least the Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Woolly World, and Color Splash
thank you for the well-wishes โ I really appreciate itThanks! I still haven't bought it (I just got my copy of Disco Elysium -which I haven't started yet- on Tuesday) but every time I see even a mention of the game it brings me back to the trailer and reminds me that I really need to play it. So I'll end up doing it. Eventually.
BTW, I know it's kind of frivolous to say this after we interacted about a game but I'm really sorry to read about what you're going through. Take care <3
well if thatโs why theyโre not doing it theyโre wrong and they should do itI fear the fact that Woolly World was already ported over to 3DS, as well as the fact that it already has a direct sequel on Switch, may of killed its chances of being brought over.
"NES Remix 1+2, now included in the Expansion Pack"I want Yoshiโs Woolly World and Paper Mario Color Splash dammit
