Apparently the Nintendo game Grubb was hinting at is Mario Musou source is Nick from XboxEra, this is coming from Giant Bomb show.
...hell, I'd be down. There's a good roster, it'd be a fun aesthetic for a musou, and you can mix in some puzzles and platforming into the normal musou loop.

Wait I'm actually getting fairly excited for the idea.

Mario Musou?

Maybe they got their streams mixed. It isn't Mario characters in a mousou style game. It's Dynasty Warriors characters in a Mario style game.

I read that as fiancรฉ at first glance and got super concerned
Same here

Edit: Mario musou?? That is wild! They should have Mario & Luigi style attacks and themed areas from the history of the franchise. Plus Cappy mechanics!

Hyrule Warriors is a thing so your opinions are invalid.

Zelda musou is actually pretty great

Dang, now I'm guessing Mario Baseball is next year. But that's okay, Mario Musou is game of the generation worthy.

Doubters about to be shooketh.

I don't think I could even NAME 28 N64 games, let alone ones I would want to play in 2022

TBH I feel like NSO is a cool opportunity for them to localize their small and dwindling catalog of unlocalized titles

Unless you know you want it, you don't want it. I say hold off until you're like "yeah that's worth it"

We already have a western exclusive N64 game: Dr. Mario 64. I think Cruis'n USA/World is gonna have to be a Nintendo/Raw Thrills thing? They used to be Midway and I'm not sure where those rights would have went.

Puzzle League would rule

The genesis stuff seems to be entirely on it's own schedule haha
For sure, I definitely agree that it would offer a bunch more value if it's able to provide games that weren't easily accessible in North America, let alone localized.

And yeah...like I have no regrets buying that wireless N64 controller as soon as it was available given how hard its been for Nintendo to keep in stock, but man I thought I would have been stoked by now to drop an unseemly amount of money for it. As it stands I already got as far as I wanted to in SM64 in 3DAS before the game aged like milk before my eyes, OoT I know I'm gonna hit the wall in the Water Temple if it killed my drive on 3DS to complete it, and Paper Mario I was super stoked for as it was maybe the only Wii VC game I originally bought that was dedicated enough to beat, but also if it's the only game I want...yeah, probably better off waiting.

Much as I love the Sega Genesis support and want to see it continue, I already have a sizeable collection of physical games for my existing Genesis, including some licensed titles that I know aren't gonna come to NSO in any capacity anyways.

Fun fact my friend and I found out you can sync up the slaps perfectly to Rihanna's Bitch Better Have My Money when we rewatched the first Pokemon movie four years ago

Granted, it's a bit distasteful to release his stuff posthumously but if I lined up for Pac I'm also going to do it for Mario.

I wouldn't rule anything out yet. We don't know how far the Mario Musou is in production.

Wasn't someone saying they couldn't wait to see the internet's reaction to a certain game? Maybe that game was Mario Musou

True, true.

Though, if the Mario Rabbids 2 game is delayed a year, they might go for multiple spin-offs to fill out the Mario quota this year instead. Both Musou and Mario Sports are pretty notorious for being DLC heavy affairs, no one expects them to be complete at initial release.

Regardless, I like all the Mario crumbs lately. Could be looking at Mario Musou(the Grubb), Baseball(the website), and Odyssey 2(the survey) this year. Or not lol.

If this is the holiday tie-in game then that sets the tone for an interesting Mario movie. ๐Ÿคฃ

Life is Strange is delayed on Switch? Come oooon, I need more games, not the ones I already have to be taken away! It's just Assassin's Creed Ezio for me for February and I need more substantial releases. Someone shadowdrop something please!

Yesterday Frogwaves announces the released of Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishment for Switch.

And arrives february 3

I don't know if you would like it. Although it is a game that was well received.

this is a based opinion

personally the comedy factor will be enough for me to appreciate it, or at least enjoy the announcement

Disliking Musou is like a top 2 normie ass gamer opinion next to thinking that extremely Microsoft Sam voice Assassin's Creed is a good franchise

Yeah I remember that game but not as something reviewed well. Nevertheless, I added my list, I'll consider getting it if it performs well.

Iโ€™d be cool with a Mario musou if itโ€™s got a full DK squad and K Rool. And some variety

It is about time for a new Nintendo and KT game

I donโ€™t know the backstory, but Grubb literally says he doesnโ€™t believe it. Think people are going to be set up for disappointment personally.

If Mario Musou actually happens they should just get over it and buy KT because I don't think there's anywhere else they can go from there.

Oh no! That means... Atelier Peach! Samus Gaiden: Other S! Pokรฉmon Conquest 2: Giovanni's Ambition! Romance of Three Houses! Dead or Alive 7 Featuring Candy Kong!

I'm trying to imagine a Mario Musou that isn't just... a Mario game? 3D World already has a multiple character roster, all playable at once, against hordes of goombas in areas designed to appear open but are actually fairly narrow.

It seems like Mario silliness would play well with warriors OTT gameplay, and the Mario visual style has been crafted for 15 years to run well on Nintendo hardware while remaining legible. KT would probably crib the Kingdom Battle story, loosely, with some sort of invading baddie from another dimension overrunning iconic Mario locations, forcing an eventual Bowser team up. You play as Bowser, in front of Peach's castle, blasting fire on realistic looking robot mooks.

Yeah, into it, I won't lie.

Out of my rather limited collection of amiibo, the ones I am glad I got before they became virtually unobtainable are Solaire and the squishy Metroid.

And no, I did not leave them in the box.

There's a very good chance Mario musou would end up being a lot of fun, but I think I'd prefer to see a Mario spin-off in a different genre simply because we've already had two Zelda musou and a Fire Emblem musou. No idea what genre they could spin off into next, but that's part of the fun.

Mario MOBA, coming right up!
