YT is at it again pushing videos talking about the "BIG LEAK". This time it is a channel called Robo Rob Gaming. On the thumbnail is mock up boxes for:

Pikmin 4
Mario Kart 9
Donkey Kong Odyssey
Wind Waker HD
Twilight Princess HD

Does this guy know anything?

What do people feel about thumbnails with mocked up box art? I don't like it because it feels deceptive. Some innocent watcher sees a reasonably well done impression of a game would be exciting if real, clicks to find out more only to see it's speculation, wishlisting or low quality rumours. I'm savvy to it now, but I was burned a few times in the past.

Ar-kay-us is correct in English (RKS System, Silvally's ability refers to Arceus and basically spells out the pronunciation). It's actually closer to ar-say-us in Japanese but I assume they didn't want kids saying arse so they changed how it was pronounced.

That said, when I first saw the name I thought ar-see-us and old habits die hard.

If I recall correctly and if it's the same channel I'm thinking of: every. Single. Video. Is a 'leak' video. Literally. Nothing else.

And it's obviously load of rubbish.

So is Mt. Coronet supposed to be difficult to navigate? I just got through it in no time flat. Did BDSP make it easier or something? Or do people just remember it being hard because they were kids when they played D&P?

the hardest part is the beginning, so just focus on starting something and not giving up after that.

I beat 5 games during the 15 days I was off work, my days off ended on Jan 3rd and since then I haven't played for more than 30 minutes. A mix of being fucking tired and having nothing appealing to start.

I thought about playing Alyx, but VR games are too demanding for my energy level right now.

I swear to the Lord above that if we don't get a good Activity Log with the next Nintendo Switch, whether it's a Pro or a full successor, I will probably continue to do nothing because I am a weak consoomer
 
Paper Mario play through update. Best Chapter 4. It was by far my favorite chapter of the game so far. I loved the idea for the area. Also, the game letting me choose that Mario is afraid of a can of soda was the cherry on top.

They emailed me a survey yesterday for the “Switch Year in Review” feature. For every single box I said the feature was cool but it’d also be cool if you had an activity log for Switch that was on par with 3DS and Wii U since they obviously have all the data.

That and Triangle Strategy are the two Spring titles with concrete release dates that I'm most looking forward to. Hopefully it'll do good enough for more Vanillaware ports.

I've been playing Dying Light with some friends as of late - and I have to say. This is one of the best ports on the Switch, it looks hella good in handheld mode. A bit rough around the edges and a bit blurry on the 65" LG Oled but still decent enough. Also super fun playing online with friends, highly recommend.

And it made me think about how the Switch is actually making me play games I normally wouldnt. I've been able to play all multiplats on all different consoles for many years now and many games I didnt really care for on other platforms, suddenly becomes more attractive.

Other examples outside of DL would franchises like Tales of, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter NNK, Resident Evil and so on - franchises I just didnt care enough about before the Switch.

nah, if it's not 4k@180fps it's unplayable.
those guys that used to play sub FHD games on 30fps just a couple of months ago just told me.

No necessarily a Nintendo post but for the first time in my life I have all modern console residing in my house. Still don’t know how to feel about that.
 
How would we feel about an Ice Climbers 99? Everyone trying to make it up the mountain and sending each other more obstacles/enemies as we defeat the ones on our screen? I think it could work
 
Just remembered that Kingdom Hearts games are getting Cloud versions on Switch and I got angry all over again :mad:

This actually happens on a regular basis because Gnocchi (I don't feel comfortable using her given name on the internets because I know how sleuthy people can be so one of her nicknames will have to do) is an actual bully.

It's cheating if in my case I include a Series S and a APU-based PC? 😅 I like have the options to where to play my games, usually I prefer get my games on Xbox, but I can always change it for a specific title for any cause (portability, performance, physical media)

Right now I have played non-stop with my Xbox, ocasionally I play with my Switch (just for Dread or SMT V) and PC (Melty Blood, maybe KOF XV will force me use more my machine), and I haven't touched my PS5 in some weeks. To be fair I ignored a lot my other consoles when I played Sekiro and Returnal on the PS5 😝
 
Finally got all the green stars in Galaxy 2. If my memory of Grandmaster Galaxy is correct, this is where the real pain starts.

edit: Forgot that the Perfect Run is a separate challenge, vanilla grandmaster was quite chill

Yesssss. I love how chapter 4 makes great use of both Toad Town's hub and its own specific location. The chapter boss' music rocks too.

Chapter 5 is one of my favorites in the game, so I hope you love it. Remind me, have you played any other Paper Marios?

Yep my wife got that game and my daughter is playing it. Older two kids are playing it takes two. I’m just loving my OLED so I’m good.

This video is a few years ago and forgive if this Youtuber has some baggage (you never now these days) but I watched this last night and I thought it was pretty good.



He does historical videos about various real world religions but in this video, he examines the religion in the Zelda series as if it were a real one. And I have to say, his video is a lot better than most you see from Zelda/Nintendo Youtubers. My main issue with Zelda Youtubers is that they want everything to be consistent, connected, and thoroughly explained. But in this video, he treats the different Zelda games as snapshots in time and he's examining the practices of an ever changing religion.
