I can't view the Twitter drama because I don't have a Twitter account because...why would I do that? Why would I make a Twitter account when I can do more fun and safe activities like punching my self in the nuts or shoving a screw driver up my nose?

One of the things I like about Nintendo these days is that at least as far as Switch is concerned, they've largely refrained from a lot of the really shitty practices other big publishers have jumped headfirst into like predatory/pay to win microtransactions, loot boxes, NFTs, releasing broken games, etc.

I mean yeah they're certainly not perfect and I'm not blind to some of the crappy stuff they do do, but it's refreshing that they haven't completely gone to shit like so many others have.

Iwata was pretty much against all that until he had to cave in to mobile games at least, but let's see how this proceeds. I already don't like how they're handling online subscription, but well... That's my only complaint so far. Their DLC has been great for the most part

That and Surface Pressure have been ingrained in my head ever since I watched the movie with my family a few days ago. Especially Camilo's part in the former!

My ADHD has made all of these songs very dangerous. My mind's been going from 0 to SEVEN FOOT FRAME, RATS ALONG HIS BACK in no time flat.

Loved the movie though, can't completely complain about having these absolute bops in my head.

I mean this sincerely, I think it’s weird we acted faster on “would you buy threads” which are harmless and can easily be marked ignored than regularly bringing in fake insiders/clout chasers.

I think a major factor was probably that those were each individual threads -- and it's true there's nothing inherently wrong with them, they can provide a subject of discussion, and I imagine nobody would care too much if they still remain separate -- whereas references to Raccoon's Twitter troll account are largely contained in these threads of randomness.

On that note, @Raccoon, buddy, why do you have to drag us like that? Is burial under the trash heap just what you do to those you love?

I don't know if Samus Hunter has sources, I have no problem with those "leak" accounts for their nature. But it's kind of obvious she doesn't really know how things work in the industry but pretends she does. Like, the other day she was discussing publishers with people who seemingly knew more about it than her. It was about the rumor that Nintendo was going to publish the physical switch version of GTA Trilogy. And she was like "no, they won't publish it, look at the company that's listed on eShop -- it's Rockstar!!! That's the publisher!!!" Like, what the eShop has to do with physical distribution? The Witcher 3 and 2 are published by Spike Chunsoft in Japan but which company is listed on The Witcher 3 page on the Japanese eShop? CD Projekt Red

She riles people up because she doesn't really know stuff about embargoes, NDAs, publishers, retail. And gets mad when people point out what's right. Maybe she just needs to be more careful with words. That's part of the job of being a """"professional leaker"""", whatever that is.

So has this site finally "made it"? Are we all internet famous now?

So according to a VGC journalist on Era, there's apparently another Square timed exclusive game for PS5. I doubt it's Chrono Cross but it seems to be FF related, perhaps FF9 remake or FF7R Part 2?

I'll bite. Unless Sony is really really trying to put that particular genie back in the bottle after two generations of multiplatform releases. At this point securing Final Fantasy feels more symoblic than anything given the series history with Sony. I honestly don't see what Sony accomplishes beyond that. The series is aggressively moving towards action-RPG which is isolating older fans who prefered the older battle systems, and the genre as a whole is increasingly moving towards Switch exclusive or Switch/PS multiplatform. So securing FF as an exclusive is less enticing for genre fans.

If it's anything it would likely be FF7R P2, some Eidos project (Tomb Raider maybe since that hasn't been seen in a while), or some random title that Square-Enix is publishing.

I had that thought; not that it's realistic, but it would be kind of hilarious if now that we're in a year when almost everyone isn't expecting a Direct until February and the "January hype" is pretty minimal, NOW is when Nintendo actually does one.
