You know things are going to be pretty dry line-up wise if this is a) an actual thing Nintendo has to release, and b) something Pyoro teases.
 
Maybe this will end up being our July game? I have to imagine if Pyoro is teasing it right now (and if it's more than an NSO release, which I think is the assumption), that Nintendo does plan to announce this outside of a Direct, similar to Everybody's 1-2 Switch last year?
 
Pyoro knowing about anything in the investor's meeting or actual hardware stuff always seemed pretty "out there" to me.

Also, would this mean it's getting revealed... today? I can't imagine Nintendo let's the rating sit publicly without an announcement extremely close after?

I think it's going to be announced next week in a tweet, Based on the description it's clearly more than just the original NES rom (which only had Super Mario Bros. Rad Racer and Tetris). They're clearly referencing Legend of Zelda in the description (and maybe Kid Icarus) so my guess is this is an entirely new game (sorta like NES Remix) using the branding of Nintendo World Championship.

Now the real question is if this is a paid for eShop release or a free NSO game. Presumably online is a must for this one.
 
My actual serious guess is that NWC:NES is the July release. They'll announce it in a tweet soon filling out the schedule a tiny bit, and that means the real direct can wait until June

Well that was a fun ride, but an acknowledgment of new hardware next week is still possible, just not guaranteed (unless Pyoro was hinting at both this and Switch 2)
 
I think it is official now that Nintendo is on their "we have no games" era right? Question is how far it will go before they actually announce the new hardware.

No not really, we havent gotten Summer Direct yet that most likely going have MP4 and new FE game ready for Holiday season maybe with a Mario or Zelda collection along with them.

I say let switch 2 come in spring of 2026 with animal crossing as a launch title

Nintendo likes to start a game's marketing cycle before the launch of the release before it (So we've had plenty of Paper Mario before Endless Ocean this week, Princess Peach marketing started right before Mario v DK, etc). So the marketing for whatever July's game is gonna be would start probably before a mid-June Direct.

We're probably looking at a Twitter trailer drop for this in the next week or so, release in July, then radio silence from Nintendo until a June Direct.

mainstream old shit year will be from this fall to when switch 2 comes out in fall of 2025
