StarTopic Nintendo Direct Speculation |ST8| Press Your (Nintendo Direct) Luck!

Maybe we should all get neon signs too, they‘ll help us shorten the wait for Switch 2.

I think atb would work with Kirby pretty well.
We're on a roll here actually bothering to design an RPG Kirby game xD

But yes, ATB would be cool, and I'm imagining sprites as visuals, not a 3D thing, or maybe the Super Mario RPG engine could work graphically for a hypothetical Kirby RPG game.

Kirby's abilities could also work a la FINAL FANTASY V Job System, where you decide which Job/ability to be: Sword Kirby, Stone, etc.

Wind Waker HD 🥺 I do wonder if Nintendo truly considered bringing it to the Switch. We'll probably never know.

Wind Waker will never be released on Switch. Nintendo doesn't seem to want to release a remaster two generations in a row.

Lol, its Fake AF but still fun to see😂

Gotta love how once nintendo release one 3ds remaster, it obviously means they are going to do 5 more within the same year haha. It reminds me how after super mario 3d all stars, ever direct rumor after that was about how there was going to be a limited to sale of all the 3d zelda games

Ehh, Nintendo is kind of out of games to remake and remaster outside of the 3DS and Wii so it makes sense to project 3DS and Wii remasters and remakes.

I had a dream about a new 3D Mario game. It was graphically quite simple, more 3D World than Odyssey, but the sacrifice was for the whole game to be connected in one huge world split across an ocean and space. Story sections with open platforming challenges on the surface of the planet, with semi-optional linear platforming challenges in space. It reused assets with brushed up textures from just about every Mario game, on top of some taken from Tears of the Kingdom with a Mario coat of paint.

The weirdest thing though was that it was called Mario & Donkey Kong Adventure.

I would very much like for Nintendo to continue to port and enhance GCN, Wii, 3DS and Wii U games.

I very much expect that even Pokémon will catch this bug eventually, transitioning from 'remakes' to 'remasters' come Gen 6's turn, with Gen 5 (this year, or 2028, I'd say this year being more likely) being the final "remake" remake with all-new assets.

The most unbelievable thing about that leak is SMP2 releasing the same month as MP4. The OG version had a year of sunk cost and then the version we're getting will have 5 years of development. No doubt that it was insanely expensive to make for Nintendo's standards, so they're gonna... overshadow it two weeks later with a big title? Nah, Nintendo's gonna be sucking out all the RoI on MP4 like it's a vampire.

I do agree that it makes sense. I just feel like they wouldn't show off this many in one direct. Like honestly I wouldn't be shocked if wind water or samus returns did happen, just not within the same fiscal year at least

They're just copying 2021, when Nintendo did Metroid Dread and SMP1 at almost the exact same dates as these.

no offense but the idea of announcing a Metroid Samus returns port in a Direct a full year ahead of time is somehow really funny to me
Showing four Metroid games in a single Direct is the kind of ambition I applaud in a "leak".

Edit - also Nintendo doubling up on Zelda releases when they can and will ration that stuff.

Methinks they ran with the idea of Grubb's "Metroid blowout in the Summer" rumor and applied directly to the forehead to the Direct, itself.

Hell, it was only a few days ago that some of us were floating the idea about a Samus Returns remaster, even!

How to spot a fake leak: Metroid Prime 4 is listed. That's all you need - works like a charm every time! (How I hope this time is different...)

One of these days Metroid Prime 4 is actually going to be real. Just wait. It will happen.

right?

I'd buy New Leaf HD if they made the Animal Crossing Puzzle League minigame have online. That's it, I don't care for Animal Crossing otherwise.
I'd love an Age of Calamity sequel, but at this point, I feel like if it'd happen, it'd probably be a showcase title for Switch 2, probably an expanded version of Age of Calamity with some Imprisoning War/Upheaval content to show what happens in that universe, but at a stable framerate.
