Here’s what I’ve heard post-Friday: Direct in April (general or mini, dunno), Indie World before that (probably March).

June for Switch 2 reveal.

Everything in flux always, but I’m feeling good, so eh.

Those are... Kind of great news? lol

I mean, if they're planning to reveal the Switch 2 in June, it feel like they at least intend to release it in time for the holidays. Might not make it, but sounds like Q1 2025 isn't set in stone yet.

Thanks for sharing, Brazil!

just like that the thread comes alive!

kinda feels like a diss towards their own game when they put a first party game in a partner showcase, like it wasn't good enough for a regular direct.
It's possible the game is going to release before or around the time of the next General Direct.

I would totally be down for June as the reveal month. Fill in that void E3 no longer occupies.

It's also possible Endless Ocean is licensed by Nintendo but not published by them, though I think that's less likely than it simply being one of those odd first party titles that occasionally shows up at this kind of event.

Maybe it's something like Wonderful 101 where Nintendo has given up some rights to the series to whoever is making this remake/remaster? Perhaps this won't be a Switch exclusive or is a timed exclusive?

Nintendo is telling us patterns are out of fashion for this season. We should break our pattern and keep the thread.

Looking at their previous credits, it seems like they're just a rather weird second party between Nintendo and Bandai that works on Ports, support studio work and random stuff like Tetris 99. Very odd company, but it seems like this'll be a second-party release... i mean maybe?

I guess I don’t get online communities. Why would you want to close a topic that doesn’t affect you? You can put it on ignore if you don’t want to see it or if it bothers you. People are just speculating not performing voodoo in here. Directs are foundations of modern day Nintendo. It’s part of their dna and you’d think it’d be no problem on the focused Nintendo website. But like I said I’m probably not ingrained into online communities much to understand lol.

I've voted to close it down. I was going to put forward some reasoning, but then I ate lunch and the food drove thoughts out of my brain.

I feel like not having these open year round makes them feel like more of an event, plus personally speaking I tend to mostly check out when Directs aren't close and it's nice to not really feel like I missed much

Catching up with the thread and I can only wonder what's up with Endless Ocean, I only remember it because the Game Grumps did a one off about it and I always thought it was one of those 3rd party shovel ware games that was thrown on the Wii as a quick cash grab.

I am not trying to throw shade on the games because catching up on the thread people seem to really love that game, but I don't get what the game is about and who is the developer?

If it's being revealed in June, that'd still be a 9 month wait for the Switch 2........

I don't know how much do you know about Direct Speculation culture (I'm an expert), but closing the thread after it's done is huge part of it. It's not like in Future Hardware Speculation Thread where you can go forward until the end of times. When Direct thread is done, it's done.

Who the fuck just shot into his foot?

Considering the delay of Switch 2 into March 2025 seems to have been a pretty recent change, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole release slate shuffles around. If Paper Mario TTYD was supposed to be H1 2024 I could see it being moved into a bigger holiday slot if games that would have otherwise filled that slot have been pushed to March.

I'm OK With that.
Directs shouldn't be very exciting, but at least we'll have something to hype about in june and Nintendo won't stay mum about the succ.

i want to play unicorn overlord so bad

i also want a fire emblem 4 remake so bad

if I were to just get fe4 I would be happy for the remainder of the year

as much as i'd also like to see it I feel like anyone expecting even a tiny chance of FE4 tomorrow is just setting themselves up for disappointment

as far as Unicorn Overlord goes that should see a demo tomorrow, Pyoro liked a tweet about it getting one

I want Fire Emblem 4, too. I hope it will be unveiled in April.

It's the only remake I expect to see on Switch.

Maybe Metroid Prime 2+3 but the rumors are still very vague for me.... But Metroid Prime 4, I believe it will be released at the end of the year on Switch !
