Ah missed that video. Still I'm not sure if it even is anything or just an artistic choice to have something cloudy on the ground. Maybe it even is a storm that could occur everywhere on the map.
don't, it would be way more fun if they realize it 2 days prior and panic that they haven't produced the game cards!Someone should remind Nintendo that this game exists and is supposedly coming out in roughly three and a half months lol.
They could but it would be harder than explaining the Sky Islands. Plus we've already seen the Eastern sea, and it's, unfortunately, pretty similar to the way it is in BOTW. It doesn't rule out the islands that were already there being developed into something, but I doubt it because they look the same in TOTK as they did in BOTW.There wasn't sky islands in BOTW either. Nintendo could always make up an excuse for it.

(we will hear something in February, get a trailer and the OLED announcement, and get more marketing in the last month. All on track)
In little over 2 weeks we are seeing this game. And it won't be another 90 second teaser.
I lurve Blupee Person. That's all, that's the message.Forgot about this quote from Zelda's diary:
Wonder if they'll retcon this to be:
"You know, I can’t speak to what other people, other companies will do in their own games, but I think for me, especially just in terms of the Zelda series, the incredible freedom that this game offers you and how well that’s been received…to me, it means that freedom, that level of freedom is something that needs to be maintained in Zelda games going forward. My eyes have been opened to how important that is,” Aonuma said.
"So one of the things that we definitely consider is that we always wanted to make sure the player could understand what their challenges or what their hurdle is. We always wanted to make sure the challenge could be challenged. So we always wanted to make a linear way of [overcoming] a hurdle."
“So for example, if there was like, ‘you can’t do this because you don’t have the right tools’ or ‘you don’t meet the certain requirements,’ players are going to not want to do that anymore. So we wanted to very much incorporate that.”
“Going forward, I think we would definitely consider that way of thinking when we create something in the future,” he added.
The craving is real guys, how to cope with it?
By playing other games, and getting hyped about other games coming out.The craving is real guys, how to cope with it?
I just hope they get the information they want out there before that game leaks somehow.Honestly, the less I know about it, the better. I would go completely blind if I could, but I know I'll watch whatever trailer they'll release until the release day.
And it's a sequel to the best selling and one of the most critically acclaimed Zelda game of all time, it's gonna be fine either way.
I just finished replaying BotW in Master Mode, and am now replaying Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. The craving is real guys, how to cope with it?
Age of Calamity had better cutscenes than BOTW in my opinion too.I just finished replaying BotW in Master Mode, and am now replaying Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity.
Age of Calamity is like a 7/10 at best, but with 10/10 visuals and music. It does take away that edge a little bit.
I hope you have a fun trip to Japan in March. Where are you going in Japan? Kyoto/Tokyo or elsewhere? It's probably a byproduct of getting older, but the wait for Tears of the Kingdom has been completely bearable for me. I hardly think about it at all, even though I'm certainly going to buy and enjoy it immensely. As a kid, the wait for Twilight Princess was more excruciating for me, haha. I don't dedicate as much time to play games as I used to, but I'm getting into The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, so that's satisfying my gaming fix right now. Plus I'm going to Japan in March, so that's another chunk of time that's going to fly by. The next four months should be pretty easy!
I think the bigger thing for me is how much am I going to avoid the inevitable media dump? I'm so so bad when it comes to spoilers. I don't even watch movies anymore; I just read the plot on Wikipedia or something. I'm sure I can avoid serious spoilers, but for officially released media like release trailers, previews, and reviews, I would find that more difficult to avoid. I'll most certainly watch new trailers, but I think the less I know, the more special the game will be. And at 4 months out, I feel like I might as well, you know?
Oooh, forgot to mention that I hope I'll be able to order whatever special edition they have. I was able to get Breath of the Wild's special edition, so I definitely want to complete the set.
I just hope they make enough of everything. I was able to grab a BotW Special Edition when it was released on launch day with my Original Switch, still chugging along, I feel like I could have even gotten another one a week or two after launch as I remember contemplating grabbing another one. I feel like with TotK tho, the cats out of the bag and there going to be gone within 10 minutes to scalpers.I hope you have a fun trip to Japan in March. Where are you going in Japan? Kyoto/Tokyo or elsewhere?
Hopefully you'll be able to visit Super Nintendo World and Ghibli Park.
Do you watch any of the movie recap channels on Youtube? They distill the movie down to 15-20mins and you can watch it on 2x speed.
Hopefully the game will not leak, and be spoiled. Hahaha, install a internet filter to block any spoilers/leaks.
It's the destination, journey that made BOTW so special. If someone just watched all the cut scenes of BOTW they would never get what is so special about it.
I hope you manage to snag a special edition of TotK. (When it comes out/preorder it) My only fear is that Nintendo aren't doing a special edition for it. You would think that they would make one but who knows. I hope they make a pro controller. We need the works for this game: Limited Edition Switch, Pro Controller, Special Edition TotK and Collector's Edition TotK.
I guess we'll find out by Feb in the Direct or by March. If not March, April for sure.
Sixteen weeks to go!!!!
Hopefully they do produce a lot more of the TotK Special Editions. Yea, the price for the BOTW special edition, especially the master edition is crazy at the moment.I just hope they make enough of everything. I was able to grab a BotW Special Edition when it was released on launch day with my Original Switch, still chugging along, I feel like I could have even gotten another one a week or two after launch as I remember contemplating grabbing another one. ... i still dont get where people come from when they talk about it "only beign in development" since the first Trailer. the next Zelda game is ALWAYS in development, usually starts during the end of ones production with preproduction, this can take a different length of time. Did people think they slapped that trailer, that model of ganon, the idea of the castle moving all together in the week before the trailer? So I was bored before going to bed, just googled some interviews from Aonuma as a reminder and found this summary of everything we know about this game and its development by Evan Hahn.
I didn't know that Aonuma confirmed in late 2017 that development on the next Zelda has already begun. I should read through Creating A Champion sometime, though, I'd wager it is hard to get your hands on these days.
Additionally, here is an excerpt from an early interview I find quite revealing:
He said this in December 2017 and plans can always change, but "that level of freedom is something that needs to be maintained in Zelda games going forward" sounds pretty definitive to me as a design ethos and standard they settled on very early in development. I completely expected as much, but I would set my expectations here if you are anticipating a more guided, linear or structured game than BotW. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow took that design ethos even further in the sequel.
... we for sure have different scales what counts as spoiler... for me the last trailer for BotW was pretty spoiler heavy.I would personally not be surprise if there is a dedicated direct for this game. They usually do that for their bigger releases and it ends up not spoiling much. They will definitely show less than Botw, but they will still advertise it a lot. Even if it's a big anticipated game, they won't just release 2 trailers and go.
Botw got hours of treehouse and E3 gameplay and we still found stuff years later it's release. I'm not worried that if they do a dedicated direct, they will only scratch the surface. Nintendo usually does well at showing just enough.
The food. The FOOOOOD! (try some combini food, its suprizingly dezent and cheap. if you like eating with chopsticks, buy some there, the selection is huge and beautiful). It's probably a byproduct of getting older, but the wait for Tears of the Kingdom has been completely bearable for me. oh, i was confused for a moment, "thats talking aboug hylia"... but yeah, they could retcon it! with that, the kid talking about the kingdom in the sky... there would be a decent chance that there are way more hints towards the sequel then we know.Forgot about this quote from Zelda's diary:

I liken this to what an early concept build would be like for TotK. Just found this, thought it was pretty cool as a visualization of a general idea of what it would be like on the sky islands. Imagine if this was just one person doing this what we have in store with the entire Zelda Team working on this for 6 years!
Dont know for specific formations, but it is for sure that some thinks that are shown now will be a "ooooh, that was hidden there" moment.Ah missed that video. I know once I started watching it, I couldn’t stop. I really like the beginning and being able to look up at the islands. It’s obviously going to be a lot more creative then simply using the paraglider and some wind gusts.to get around up in the sky. Seeing this also strengthens my belief in that we are getting some kind of hookshot, grappling hook type item. This did actually let my imagination go wild. The islands in the sky idea is going to be a lot of fun. Just add more items, enemies and things to play around with and it's going to be the best Zelda ever.

Or does production only count if hundred of people are making leveldesign and graphics? Production starts with team assembly, project planing, idea generation/brainstorming,...
ok, thats one case where you're probably right. No, that is not true. Breath of the Wild only started development very late 2012/early 2013 because basically all of EPD was put on finishing up Nintendo Land and NSMBU which had to be ready for the Wii U launch.
And yes, people like the director of the game were probably still free, but you still heavily rely on programmers even during pre-production and planning. Once programmers were available again, they were able to try out different artstyle changes in Wind Waker to see what fits for BotW (which spawned WWHD) or create that original TLOZ/BotW prototype to see what physics-based systems would work and make sense for 3D Zelda.
I swear I saw this exact same thing in Switch news section some time ago.Nintendo Australia released this yesterday, kind of neat.
Get to know Link and his many adventures!

Ha, there's no picture of Link for 2023 in that timeline. I thought they'd use the current painting.Nintendo Australia released this yesterday, kind of neat.

I'm remain kinda bummed out that they use Champion's Tunic Redux on the (current) key art. Toga Link is the awesomest Link.Ha, there's no picture of Link for 2023 in that timeline. I thought they'd use the current painting.
Crazy that it's 3.5 months til release and we only have one piece of art.
I cannot wait for official drawings of Toga Link.

Not fan of this tunic but support this idea of artwork with other sets. I'd love an artwork with hylian set an green cap. Imo it had potential for being a Link main design. My favorite since TP. I'm not fan of champion tunic either but I'm unexpectedly digging this toga Link design from Totk.Toga Link is cool but I'm still bummed we never got an official piece of art of Link in the Tunic of the Wild.
I'm not the biggest fan of the TotW either, as I wish the sleeves didn't just randomly stop halfway down his forearms, but I still consider it BOTW Link's green tunic. Thus it's disappointing there's no official art to place alongside all of the other green tunic Link art.Not fan of this tunic but support this idea of artwork with other sets. You should let your imagination run wild. The risk of exploration is higher in the sky as you can fall off or have some king of flying device like in the trailer to traverse big distances. It changes things up plus I like the feeling of exploring small patches of land in the sky. Don't know what it is but it gives me a cozy kind of feeling.i mean... its the core BotW gameplay, unchanged, just on some islands in the sky.
And since the BotW gameplay loop is so freaking addictive and fun, it works just as well.
