I’m not sure on that one, but the game has a lot of accents in it so far which is cool. Approaching Xenoblade levels. So far I’ve heard American, Southern American, Brooklyn-ish, formal British, Cockney, Scottish, Australian, and a few others I’m not certain of. Since there’s so many characters they can just go ham with it

I follow the Journalling subreddit since I love journalling but now a trend has started where people posts lists of qualities what their ideal partner should have and man, that is so extremely off-putting to me 😩
 
I really need the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley to come to console, please and thanks.

I've got plenty to play in my 2024 Pile but I've really fallen off gaming over the last month or so. Probably the first time for like four years gaming hasn't been my go to leisure time activity.

Look, i'm absolutely the last person one should ask for tips about dating, as i never dated much and had INCREDIBLE luck that i met the (for me) best lady in the world who then happened to also like me back.

But even i know one thing ... ignore such online lists.

Oh I sure do ignore them. Just, the people there are egging each other on on making these lists. And they all read like these insane job offers like "we are looking for a young junior candidate with a gazillion years of experience". And of course I know these people also know how much their personal perfect partner is out of reach, but somehow it rubs me the wrong way sharing these lists online and people applauding them.

here’s the trick: get over yourself. meet people as people. it’s a two-way road of discovery. be open to finding out who they are, and who you are, because every day is invention and we’re all just living it.

which by no means is me saying ignore red flags, lmao. but, for the most part, it is not so serious.

most of the worst shit comes from these fixed expectations and weird-ass fuckin’ roles and not just experiencing the goddamn thing.
 
Ugh, spiking today, just need to chill. Think I’ll just dive into and wrap up FFIX in a little bit. Then MMW time. That and figuring out my next rpg, Hack GU and Saga Frontier are at the top of the list
 
this might be a fun thing to have a dedicated thread for but a neat tool to facilitate Streetpass remotely came out a couple weeks ago and I've been using it and enjoying it the last couple days. it's a nice middle ground between the current standard of getting an average of 0.25 streetpasses per year and just getting a bunch of maxed out Miis beamed to your 3DS on demand—i've been getting four or five a day which isn't too far off from what I'd get in college during the 3DS's heyday.

you need custom firmware on your 3DS of course but it otherwise feels like a really authentic way to breathe life into all those Streetpass Mii Plaza games. more info here:

It's got some chuckles, but the memes about it actually being a Wade series are pretty accurate so far. Which is unfortunate but not surprising considering the fact that it's tv and has a different budget to work with and all that. I've heard there are some pretty fun easter eggs and references later in the series so I'm keeping an eye out, but for the most part I'm just treating it as its own little goofy comedy series rather than expecting it to hit the highs of Sonic The Movie 2.

I will say at one point Knuckles literally does the drill claw move and that made me happy to see 😅

I never played a Hack GU game but have been curious for years. They seem so decisive lol
 
every once in a while I'll remember something that I need to check on my Switch

then some time later I'll check my switch but by that point I've forgotten what I was supposed to check

this cycle has repeated itself 3 times so far

I do hate how the Sonic movies took the Transformers approach of making the story more about the humans than the characters I actually like. My son is really into Sonic though so I might see what he thinks on a rainy day.

Knuckles episode 4 is nuts holy shit

It's somehow simultaneously the most egregious offender of the "it's all human characters!" complaint and packed full of more game (and OVA!!!!!) references than the whole first movie. And on top of all that it plays out like a goddamn Mega64 video. Seriously.

It's the episode with the least amount of Knuckles and yet is my favorite one so far. Even Iblis from fuckin Sonic 06 plays a part!!! What the hellllllll 🤣

I watched the trailer for Knuckles just now and holy shit. They actually use Knuck If You Buck! If Knuckles is down with Crime Mob maybe I would enjoy the show
 
Don’t know if a lot of people here are playing Megaton Musashi Wired, but I’m really not vibing with it. Genuinely have to struggle not to sleep while playing it. The story mode is going through 30-45 minutes of vaguely interactive and poorly written narration, then 5 minutes of mecha action, then repeat.

Didn’t thought I’d ever say that, but so far I think that the 2019 Sakura Wars reboot is a better mecha game than this.

Maybe wait for a demo or a price drop! (It’s also not running very smoothly on Switch so that’s something to consider if you ever buy it)
