I got a zelda game and watch ..... from the 80sAnybody get the Zelda Game & Watch? My preorder got cancelled because Nintendo's UK store won't let me add a new payment card, but I'm thinking of ordering from somewhere else.
The only thing the dislike situation has changed as far as Nintendo is concerned is that people on message boards and twitter cannot use the ratio as a way to validate their opinions. The good thing about Arlo is that he's pretty honest about this: He admits in the first few minutes that it's petty to see the dislike ratio and point and laugh at it.
Speaking of German, I named one of first horses in BOTW Pferdinand. Was I original or is that a common name? It's a pretty obvious one so someone has to have thought of it before.

And this is surely one of the things that helps to poison the well - the more a vocal minority become convinced their hate is valid and the majority view, the more it empowers them.The only thing the dislike situation has changed as far as Nintendo is concerned is that people on message boards and twitter cannot use the ratio as a way to validate their opinions. Oof, sorry to hear bud. How'd they even get a chance to read it before it was published, though?Nothing like going to work and getting an angry mail (plus a call to your boss) by the town mayor about one of your articles they got to read in its entirety before it was published.
Wait, have they confirmed it as a 2022 release?lmao including nintendo, idiots

In regard to your “dislike” replies — well said. I was going to throw my two cents in, but the two of you laid out how I feel about it better than I ever could.
@Brofield
Mr. Peanutbutter is so damn cute. Congrats on the addition to your family!
At least there's a silver lining to all this, and good show making people aware of this.They got it from me. It was a piece on a complicated and expensive construction project that is up for vote in a few weeks and they asked if they could see it before publishing. I told them that we usually don't do that but that I'd make an exception in case I didn't get all the facts right. I just couldn't guarantee that we'd change anything. Sent them the article, got a reply 2h later with three suggestions. Mulled over them, made small adjustments and that was that. Or so I thought.
Generally I'm a bit allergic to requests for "clearance". Especially when it's a spicy subject and someone wants to change passages to their favour. In this case one of the passages they suggested actually made them look worse but that's really their issue. Every now and then it can be helpful. In this case I'm glad I did it because we can show the mayor's pivot after the article was published.
Look, I used to watch his content religiously. I never really used to agree with him, but I thought the content itself was fine and his gimmick of being a puppet among the many other content creators was charming.. but once he discovered that being loud and only putting energy in complaints got him more views, it's when I got enough;I watch a lot of Arlo's videos and find them balanced and well reasoned.
Recently his take on the OLED was fair and his excitement over Eric Barone's new game infectious.
SMTV Arrived! I just need to get through work and I'm ready to play! Anyone know if there is a day 1 patch to install?
It's in the 2022 section here:Wait, have they confirmed it as a 2022 release?
I brought it inside on my way out the door this morning but now I am at work. This is my most anticipated Switch title ever so I guess I should've taken the day off, but I was an idiot and scheduled a bunch of stuff for today ages ago. This epic is not sweet.Happy SMT V release days, folks.
Yep! At the end of the E3 trailer.Wait, have they confirmed it as a 2022 release?

Something something like video games, if you're facing adversity, it means it you're going the right way

On top of that, they are under comparatively zero pressure to show the game early or hype people up about a close release date like they were for the first game.I think it's easier to believe BoTW2 will be out next year, because we actually saw substantial footage of the game (heck, we saw much more of the game in it's initial reveal than we ever saw of BoTW1 when it was first unveiled);
And with supposedly a lot of recycled assets, engine and so on, it shouldn't be so tasking on the team as the first one that had to be made from zero.
And this is surely one of the things that helps to poison the well - the more a vocal minority become convinced their hate is valid and the majority view, the more it empowers them.
And, importantly, there are creators who are genuine victims of this kind of pile-on. As other people are saying, this barely effects a major corporation like Nintendo. If outrage on the internet was bad for their business, Switch would never have taken off. For some people, these piles on are detrimental to their living and their health.
I get that Arlo is a Nintendo content creator, but I'm a little irritated seeing Arlo - and others, like Nintendo Life - frame this purely through the NSO angle. Yet another example of how twisted internet discourse is. I said it the other day: connecting largely unrelated things into a narrative is how sites and creators make money and it just helps this toxic stuff spiral on.
100%So I guess Metroid 6 is happening
