Won't go too far into detail, but Grezzo definitely have had another game in development since Miitopia at the very least. Maybe even since Link's Awakening. I know some people have brought up Mario RPG, but the "New Work" recruitment has been up since Early 2021.

it must be the unknown medieval game they are hiring and working since Miitopia Switch

Do you think we have a serious chance to see F-Zero on Switch ? I know there are rumors about F-Zero GameCube, but I don't know how reliable they are ?

Switch is a hit, I hope Nintendo will seize the opportunity to bring back licenses like F-Zero to gauge its popularity once again. I really miss arcade racing games ! 😥

And I also hope to see a new Donkey Kong, 2D or 3D, it doesn't matter. When I see the excellent Kirby and the Forgotten World and the gorgeous visuals of Super Mario Bros Wonder, it makes me dream !

Maybe some kind of remaster for F Zero with online play. it's a lower cost way to gauge if there is some interest in the franchise.
Donkey Kong there is still some small hope with that rumored game from a team at EPD Tokyo, as well as the fact they were hiring people for a 2D action game back in 2020 (meanwhile EPD Kyoto was hiring for a 2D game in 2019 which was most likely Wonder) :

Deepl translation :

I'd like a new game, but a remaster would be better than nothing. Wait and see.... I hope this time the rumors are solid.

OK ! I'm hoping for a new Donkey Kong, Switch deserves its own game ! 😁

what if the new 2D action game, part of EPD8 is working is the Peach game

I don't think it'd qualify as a 2D game since you're still exploring a 3D space on a Z axis rather than being purely on a 2D plane. Otherwise Luigi Mansion might as well count as a 2D game or a Paper Mario game.

the Peach game didnt looked 3D to me, more like 2.5D game

If you look back at the current trailer you can see Peach being able to move to the back and front of the stage hence why it'd qualify more as a 3D game with a fixed camera (more similar to a Luigi Mansion) rather than being a 2D game.

Also hiring people for a 2D game specifically means requiring people for specific game design toolsets which is why I'd expect something like a 2D platformer using 3D models (so a new Donkey Kong game for example).

At about 6 seconds into the trailer, she goes around a character, moving towards the background. It seems to have a fixed, head-on perspective, but there's definitely 3 dimensions of movement going on, rather than everything taking place on a single plane like you would see in a 2D game.

Nintendo is considering expanding the size of its building for game development, which is scheduled for completion in 2027 next to its headquarters.

You mean, make the construction of the new building even bigger, isn't it?

this is the result of the $100 bilion yen, Nintendo has spent since 2021 in order to prepare themselves for it next hardware

thats great, although a shame we wont see full results until like 2034

You should see the result of their on-going R&D expansion efforts that precede this new R&D building. They probably will increase their rental offices in South Kyoto or other facilities.
oh i dont mean the building itself but the teams that will be part of it. im taking into accounts development time and all of that

2027 was the completion goal for the initially announced building plans (which we've known about for quite awhile). A few lines later in the article it is said the completion date will be delayed to at least 2028 to account for the additional floors.

Exactly. The thing is Nintendo is already securing rental offices to continue increasing R&D. So we should start seeing some of those efforts before the new building is erect. Basically, they will already have a good amount of the expansion staff ready to transfer to the new building from their temporary leased spaces they are actively filling.

Nintendo is reting some offices in the Kyoko bureau of water, when the new development buliding is not complete

Pokemon Company having serious internal conversation, on how to improve the quality of the franchise release

how to improve the franchise
  • spend more time on engine stability and optimizations
  • add sidequests and more things to do
  • LAN mode and team builder for tournament play (make breeding for something else, I guess. no one actually likes breeding)

I don't think they're ever going to add a full showdown style team builder, but most of the tools for editing competitively relevant aspects of Pokémon are already there, they're just either too expensive/grindy or have some big oversights (like there being no rusty bottle cap). If they really wanted to, they could basically fix all the major teambuilding problems within the scope of SV's DLC.

More relevant to the overall topic, though, there's already some highly circumstantial evidence that all of the emergency patches they had to do for SV have got them behind schedule a bit. Especially with a convenient anniversary they can target, I think the chances are pretty good they actually slow down a bit this time.

There's no doubt in my mind that SV's DLC was originally targeting June/October like SwSh and got shifted a few months (releasing an expansion about a big summer festival in September is a weird choice otherwise), but I'm curious what that evidence is

Before it got disrupted by invalid raid data getting pushed out, the Tera raid schedule was tracking pretty closely with the Sword and Shield one, which notably pivoted around the time the Isle of Armor released.

Given the disqualification controversy at Worlds, they really need to do something because it's emblematic of the problem, I think. That and no LAN support. I don't know how they can reconcile it without some form of easy team builder. Even if it was multiplayer only

They could bring back a Colosseum/BR type game for the competitive multiplayer side so people can experiment with builds and stuff and updated it over time.

I can see them making it work if they adjust PLA's GV system, but if they insist on keeping the IV/EV system, the competitive side of the franchise simply cannot function. The suggestion to make an official simulator rubs me the wrong way for two reasons: one, that will give them official ground to go after Smogon et al which would be disastrous for the health of the community and two, just genning a Pokemon in a sim is devoid of the ludonarrative appeal of building up an attachment to a 'mon while training it. Similar to what Gabe Newell said about piracy, the only way to beat genning is to approach its level of convenience, but outside of dumb shit like 'mon availability and the Tera Shard grind I worry about the ramifications of removing too much friction, so I don't really know if competitive can be truly reconcilable with the franchise as things are currently

Looking at Eighting's work over the last few years I'm wondering if we could see them work with Nintendo on other projects besides Pikmin. They seem to work mostly on licensed games/contract work anyway, probably wouldn't make much of a difference to them.

An Eighting Smash game would go unreasonably hard.

Eighting needs to bring this series back

Fingers crossed for Joy Mech Fight 2

saw this in my recommendation and its kinda crazy how this guy dont get what the position of director/producer is from the publisher side in a game developed outside of nintendo lol

hire more developers to work on the games, give Game Freak a 4/6 development cycle istead of the just 3 years development cycle per game, now is 4/6 year development cycle per game

until further informations for the game is given, very hard to justify is a 3D or 2D game
