If we don't get news this year, I swear I'll protest outside Nintendo headquarters wearing nothing but a red necktie!
You've been warned Nintendo!
He'd better have a damn good new haircut then.I want to see Aonuma in the next Direct, but I don't want to be terrified during the first 10 seconds of his possible appearance.

You could feel a pin drop when he showed up and announced the delay of ZeldaI want to see Aonuma in the next Direct, but I don't want to be terrified during the first 10 seconds of his possible appearance.

there will be 200 pages before the 6ththe only way this thread is getting to 200 pages is if there's nothing the week of the 6th
accurate and useful list, kudos.here's a breakdown of the number of retail games nintendo have published for switch each year since the console's launch
2017 - 10 total, 2 were rereleases
2018 - 17, 7 were rereleases
2019 - 17, 3 were rereleases
2020 - 13, 6 were rereleases
2021 - 15, 5 were rereleases
2022 - 11, 1 rerelease
that's an average of around 14 games per year - 10 new, 4 rereleases
right now, 2023 has 4 slated releases, with 1 of them being a rerelease. going by precedent, it's likely there are a double digit number of nintendo-published games that'll come out this year that we don't know about yet
that's what the D stands for in Monkey D. LuffyDiddy Kong knows where the one piece is. There’s a reason nintendo hasn’t had him in games as of late…. in a major role.

This is really useful to have. We've seen maybe a third - or perhaps only a quarter - of what Nintendo have this year. I could see the total number of releases being higher than last year if there are more re-releases planned, which seems likely.here's a breakdown of the number of retail games nintendo have published for switch each year since the console's launch

In two or three weeksWe are 113 days away from the release of TotK. When will they finally give us more info? This is ridiculous.
It's not. It's still plenty of time. We will see it in 2-3 weeks. After that the marketing will be all about TotK.We are 113 days away from the release of TotK. When will they finally give us more info? This is ridiculous.
FTFYIn two or three months
I strongly agree. I think people really overestimate how easily this will sell. BOTW was a launch game of a very hyped system, the first open world Zelda game, one of the highest rated games that broke new ground in the genre. It had a lot going for it. Why should these 30 million people care again for a game using the same world? I don't. I am a 2/10 on the hype level. Those 30 million aren't all hard-core gamers. At best, a third. How will they sell this game to everyone who doesn't follow? My friends (casual) who loved BOTW don't care at all even after I told them. They say "sounds too similar"...even though they buy CoD every time..We are 113 days away from the release of TotK. When will they finally give us more info? This is ridiculous.
I can use anecdotal evidence too. My friends are hyped and keep asking me if I've heard any rumors or seen any leaks about the game. I think you're underestimating how big of a reaction TotK will get when they finally go all in with marketing.I strongly agree. I think people really overestimate how easily this will sell. Yep, and in these uncertain times when a delay can rear its head literally at the last minute, i understand why not just nintendo, but other companies as well are keeping details close to their chest. I really think that cyberpunk scared alot of industry away from announcing dates too early, or showing off gameplay too early.Shorter, more intense hype cycles are easier to maintain through release.
Are your friends Call of Duty Xbox people that bought Switch just to play Zelda and bought no other game? Likely not. And obviously we'll see. I'll say it...it won't break 20 million. Mark my [90% likely wrong but for shits and giggles] words. gaspI can use anecdotal evidence too. My friends are hyped and keep asking me if I've heard any rumors or seen any leaks about the game. Yeah, that's my take away from this. A holiday 2024/early 2025 release window gives devs time to catch up, so 3D Mario isn't so important anymore. We are getting new 3D Mario this year then, there is no way we aren't.
Yeah, I am not that disappointed thinking that there is 3D Mario this year. It's a bummer it won't be for new hardware? Yes. Will it still be one hell of a masterpiece? Yes.Yeah, that's my take away from this. A holiday 2024/early 2025 release window gives devs time to catch up, so 3D Mario isn't so important anymore.
It's already confirmed, in fact we've even seen itWe are getting new 3D Mario this year then, there is no way we aren't.
If it's H1 2024 than there is a chance. But I can't think of bigger Holiday game this year than Mario.nah, 3D Mario can and will wait
next 3D Mario will blow people away in holiday 2025
my current guess is 2D MarioIf it's H1 2024 than there is a chance. But I can't think of bigger Holiday game this year than Mario.
well they could sell it with something like Luigi's Mansion 4. There is plenty of options. Either way, we should know better in next weeks were we stand with 2D/3D Mario.my current guess is 2D Mario
a very impressive 3D Mario is just about their only option to really sell a new system
If it's 2025 (which is possible now I guess), there's a lot of other titles that could be done in time. Kirby and Pokemon for example.my current guess is 2D Mario

you'll be less smug when 3D Mario stays MIAAnd with that, the new hardware is tied to Zelda comes to an end. Thank you and goodbye.
