Would you rather have.....
  1. Breath of the Wild 2 in October 2022 and Odyssey 2 in March 2023
  2. Odyssey 2 in October 2022 and Breath of the Wild 2 in March 2023
1. Breath of the Wild 2 first and Mario later, because honestly, Odyssey sucks

sucks that it's the greatest game ever made, straight up perfect, so its sequel should take as long as it needs and come later to give another boost on the Switch and be even bigger than the first. I can't wait to see what scope they'll go with the next Mario.

I just can't know where n4zis are more served, if it's Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Twitter.

I report homophobic and transphobic posts and comments(sometimes where I am being attacked) and they just say it's not against their rules.
Oh, Facebook is definitely up there as the worst, followed by TikTok and Instagram imo.

Its ridiculous, I know. Yet, people on the right will say they're judged with left-wing bias. Its hysterical and sad.

See, I disagree with that stance. I personally listen to them because they've been proven correct numerous times. Objectively, they have a list of correct "Predictions" with legitimate sources that proves that. Many people don't realize this because they don't put in any effort to try and track down the original source.

Zippo and Samus Hunter have shown that they steal rumors from other legitimate insiders and pass it off as there own, but many don't realize this fact because of what I mentioned above.

Can't comment on how he was treated, I wasn't around.
All I'm saying is that neither group is treated very differently, if at all. I'm not trying to equate their trustworthiness or how they go about things. You simply said that when Zippo's wrong, it's swept under the rug, but Nate gets a lot of shit; in reality, they both get a lot of shit.

Made me do a double take lol :ROFLMAO:

This week in "Magic-Man states the obvious", Danganronpa is really good. At least what I've played of the first one is. Two hours gone in minutes and I don't want to stop playing.

Yeah it is. It's one of those games that I wish I could go back and re-experience for the first time, because it is a wild ride

Is it any sillier than Mother Brain, tho?
A bit, yes. Mother Brain is basically an organic computer, so a simplistic but functional name that describes her appearance and function (as head of the Space Pirates) seems appropriate. Raven Beak is a cool character, but other Chozo like Quiet Robe and Old Bird have names that seem to indicate their vocation, whereas Raven Beak is just two bird themed words.

I was flipping through HBO Max and came across this

Haven't watched it but it's the most times I've heard the word Nintendo in a movie trailer before. The description on HBO Max reads "Nintendo, snow days, lost retainers. A new comedy to remember."

Wtf why is the murder bear talking about orgasming with stuffing
He just does and says random things like that, but don't worry, that's one of the more bizarre and out-of-nowhere ones

My wife and I watched it last night. She enjoyed it more than I did. I thought it was just ok. Worth a watch if you’re looking for a new holiday movie at least.

I figured it would be your typical holiday slock. Nothing amazing but nothing terrible. Something to watch with your young kids or play to put you in the holiday mood.

I feel like Nintendo has to have SOME kind of Mario game to launch with the movie, it just seems like such an obvious combo to help promote both things together, even if it's not a tie-in at all.

As an aside: And don't take this the wrong way at all, I really like reading your thoughts on here! But I'm curious: Off the top of my head, I feel like I rarely see you talking about any games that you like (especially more recent games). What are your favorites that have released in the Switch era? Or even just in general? Again I don't mean to be negative or anything, I just feel like I've seen you talk about several games lately that I've been surprised you didn't like, so it makes me wonder!
I’ve been very positive on the following switch games (by switch I mean. I played them on switch).

-Xenoblade 2
-Torna
-Slay the Spire
-Hades
-Mario + Rabbids (stop praising and acknowledging it after the Ubisoft stuff, my game of 2017)
-Monster Train
-Yugioh Legacy of the Dualist
-Ace Attorney 1&3 (2 is terrible, the last case isn’t even as good as everyone made it out to be)
-Clubhouse Games
-Resident Evil 4 (yes I’m still adding it dammit. It’s amazing in handheld)

I found the following switch games as good. Solid games but either have
•lots of issues for me
•forgettable or
•just not my cup of tea but can admit objectively solid overall

-Breath of the Wild
-Octopath Traveler
-Paper Mario Origami King
-Fire Emblem Warriors
-Fire Emblem Three Houses (Fire Emblem is my favorite series. I have so much to
Say about this title and why I feel it’s not great and room for mass improvement, but still enjoyed my time with it)
-Mario Tennis Aces
-Mario Odyssey (probably the most forgettable game for me here that I would always say it’s objectively good and recommend to first time Mario players or players in general. I just didn’t care for it at all. Beat it and never returned to it so I can’t even say what the post game is like)

Disappointing Switch games
-Mario Maker 2
-Splatoon 2
-Bravely Default 2 (lots of “2” lols)
-Super Mario Party (I actually like this game. But I didn’t realize it handheld only so it never got played again cause I’m mostly a handheld player, dumb restriction).

Simple banter posts really show I’m far more negative then in reality. I rarely give full thoughts on a game due to only typing on mobile. I get lazy, but I’m pretty analytical and extensive when talking about any games. There’s always just so much to say, just easily out loud then typing for me. I had a bit of a rant about persona Yesterday here tho, probably the most I’ve typed here for a single post lol

Has it been long enough since Metroid Dread came out that we can acknowledge Raven Beak is a very silly name for the end bad guy of the franchise to date?
Honestly I'm not really super fond of the Chozo names in general, but the convention is pretty well established at this point.

I thought it was like a warrior name and didn’t mind. Also I swear I read a book where Raven beak was used as a name as well.

In the book. He died at the end after saving a woman from danger lol. Can’t remember the book title,

Sorry for my lack of posts. Been just enjoying halo infinite and playing for hours. Feels good to enjoy a game like that for a while.

I’m almost done with the campaign and I may start on the backlog for like switch and playstation again

It does feel good to have fun and enjoy a video game sometimes

Hit credits on Kirby Star Allies earlier! Planning to do all the other stuff that unlocked and probably go for all the paintings. Not a great game, but for the price I got it at, pretty alright to play with a podcast on in the background.

So I’ve finally finished every Halo game on Heroic difficulty. That’s 7 games total and probably hundreds of deaths whilst playing them.

Shall I turn on my Nintendo Switch and play a game there?

Or shall I start my 8th Halo game this year?

…I’m leaning towards the latter

I challenge you to tackle halo 2 on legendary and deal with the abominations of nature that are jackal snipers.

Thanks for the detailed response! Maybe it was between the Persona post and others and then the BOTW/Odyssey one that I just had that on my mind, lol. Sorry again, I wasn't meaning to call you out or anything! That's a very great list of good games, for sure.

And I'll agree with you on AA2. I found it to be pretty bland and just... 'off', is the only way I know how to describe it, overall. Hearing later that it was super rushed (or something along those lines) makes a lot of sense. I kept hearing how the last case is brilliant and saves the game or is the best in the trilogy and I just don't see it. It's BETTER than the others in the game, yes, but still doesn't reach the highs of the later cases in AA1 or AA3 IMO.

I don't think you need to apologize for posting less due to loving a game, of all things. Loving games is kind of the whole reason we're here, isn't it?

Or wait, is it for abyss shitposting and really bad dad jokes? I can never remember!

Yeah, infinite is just reminding me why I love video games again, game is just pure fun

Get your shit together real life your graphics suck
the graphics are great, it’s the art direction that’s lacking

but you can’t argue with the dynamic lighting and weather system

I’m an insider

I am inside the horse incinerator in my mind and one of these days one of me is going to flip the goddamn switch

oh wow dead thread

carry on then

Started watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (am I the last person to do so?) in subs

Genuinely shocked that after all the memes, it's not actually a comedy. Like, I get that it's taking itself so seriously that it's funny, but dang, everything I think I know something about this show based on preconceptions has just been proven wrong again and again.

I recommend playing Warren Wolf “Christmas Vibes” for the party. Vibraphone music. Also from Baltimore which is a plus.
Thanks, but there was a preprepared playlist already because my friends are musical theatre peeps and they have that shit on lock.

It starts with a very harsh and serious vibe, but the tone changes drastically in Part 2, and keeps changing for the weirder and wackier as it goes. Each season of JoJo could practically be its own series. The first is hard to swallow, the second is where it gets wonky and meme-y.

Honestly, I think this is just your own bias; people coming at Nate/Emily sticks out to you because you trust them, while you can't understand why people would listen to Zippo or Samus Hunter. But Era's been openly hostile to both Zippo and Hunter for years now.

Honestly, even given Zippo's past behavior, I feel like this thread kinda crossed the line a little when he was brought up. Point out inaccuracies all you want, but language like this:

doesn't sit right with me. Zippo is a person. I get he crossed several lines himself (and crossed them much further), but I don't understand what we gain from being hostile back.

But yeah, regarding Twitter, Emily and Nate don't really tease things on there directly anymore. They keep a lower profile than Zippo and Hunter, so of course they're a little more ignored. But it's better that way.
Yeah sorry about that. That’s an inappropriate thing to say

Welcome, as JoJo is life!

Welp, I got through almost the whole Christmas party without talking about video games. Was very proud of myself for sticking to the conversations in the room and keeping quiet when I didn't have anything relevant to contribute. Played a fantastic few rounds of Cards Against Humanity. Had a blast.

Then late into the evening someone mentioned bleak retro future stories, which led to someone mentioning BioShock and I just kinda listened, then someone mentioned the Matrix UE5 tech demo and I had a couple things to say about how neat that was, then someone mentioned BotW and I was off to the fuckin races. I'm out of breath. I've been talking about Zelda, Dread, Odyssey, and the differences between Iwata's era vs Yamauchi's era, for like a couple hours.

I failed, yall. I video gamed all over the whole room.

If you ever felt useless just remember that Switch has invite online play function that was added 2 years ago, you can invite a friend from your friendlist to play a game. But it's supported for like 2 games and non of them is first party.

I think there's like 50 or so games using it in total. And the ones where I have been using it - Mario Party and Dying Light it's been working great. So there's 1 first party game, not sure why they havnt implemented it in more.

Oh really? Seems like the list has grown since last i checked but yeah it's a bummer since games like Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart are perfect for it.

Ever since finishing Danganronpa V3 couple days ago, I just feel empty lol. I don't know what to play. I'm trying to play Danganronpa 1 and 2 but they are still fresh in my mind since I played them last year.

But man, V3 was something else to experience...

Today I want to resist the temptation to play more Halo so I can make some progress in SMT V (still early days there, the 7 hour mark) and hopefully get my booster jab.

May Sunday treat the Fami well.

I challenge you to tackle halo 2 on legendary and deal with the abominations of nature that are jackal snipers.
I reject your challenge.

I know that makes me a coward but I'd rather keep my sanity, thanks.

I already have Danganronpa on PC but I'm honestly thinking of buying the Switch collection just so I have something to play on the system lol. I'm also in the mood for something a bit trashy and wild.

It might be a struggle to get this physically since it's sold out everywhere unless you prefer digital. Still, playing these games in handheld is such a delight.
