Last I saw, Dark Cloud was more open than most to the possibility of Zippo being legit, so I doubt it was them

So I’ve finally finished every Halo game on Heroic difficulty. That’s 7 games total and probably hundreds of deaths whilst playing them.

Shall I turn on my Nintendo Switch and play a game there?

Or shall I start my 8th Halo game this year?

I think a good chunk of it comes down to the fact that many people aren't privy to who's truly an insider and who's not. More people on Twitter know Samus Hunter/Zippo than Nate and Emily. Many of these people don't frequent Resetera or this site nor do they do any research to see where the original source of these rumors come from.

That's one of the few Sonic games I've played and I didn't think it was horrible lol

Not Directly Nintendo related (badum tsss) but I've been watching Arcane and holy guacamole I am blown away.

I avoided it at first as I really don't like League of Legends and needless to say film/TV adaptions based on video games have a poor track record, but a close friend urged me to try it and I'm so glad I did. From the animation to the voice acting to the storytelling, it's just phenomenal.

I'm only 4 episodes in but this is easily the new gold standard to which future video game adaptions should look to and aspire in terms of quality, in my humble opinion.

The thought of a Zelda or Metroid or Xenoblade show in the same ballpark is mouth-watering.

I don't know how Zippo became the "source" of the 2D Metroid "leak" because I am sure that we were all taking about a new 2D coming to Switch long before Zippo ever said anything. I can't remember who the original source was, maybe Emily(?), but pretty much everyone in old OTs were openly talking about a 2D Metroid for Switch and we were just waiting for an official announcement. I think we even heard that the game was nearly complete in late 2020 or early 2021.

Samus Returns literally has a teaser showing Raven Beak and the directors for the game on both the Nintendo and MS side hadn't been credited on anything since.

Any "insider" claiming that a new 2D Metroid was coming soon would have technically been correct eventually.
