It's fantastic press for them in online circles, particularly in the west. The Persona games have practically become a meme at this point when it comes to showcases, and netting one of the biggest rumored games as a day one Game Pass title is huge. If this wasn't leaked to hell and back, people would be going absolutely nuts over the reveal.

Whether that translates to sales or not, who knows. But it's a huge get for them regardless.

P3 was alright when I played it back on the PS2, I don't really feel like playing it again, though.

I could be interested if there are gay romance options but lmao yeah

P3 Reload still looks pretty archaic, and faux-chibi style of P5 Tactica is not doing it for me.

Hurry up and announce P6 you jerks. It's been 7 years.

Yaknow what, I'm curious about the pricetag of getting an embargo on announcement of... just a few days or so? (the length of time between Geoff's thing today and the upcoming Xbox Showcase?)

Very curious to see how they handle the social links. We have confirmation that Kenji is returning, which should theoretically lock Junpei out of a social link, but you'd think that they'd prioritize the party members. Not being able to hang out with your teammates would throw a lot of newer fans off, so maybe Kenji or Junpei got their arcana shuffled elsewhere. Same with locking the female social links behind the story, only having like 14 days to do Aigis's isn't particularly fun.

There's also some social links that are outright bad too, like the aforementioned Kenji, Nozomi, Keisuke, etc. Wonder how those will be handled.

Also Xbox had a 2-3 day window of announcement exclusivity on most new third parties they Announced last year so expect the same here. Longer if Nintendo wants to announce them themselves

… well, I’m a bit less certain about a Switch port right now, but still, Unreal is not as hard to port as Unity and there are more ambitious Unreal games running pretty well on the Switch, so I still hope it’ll be there. Even by Atlus standards it’d be very dumb not to release these games on Switch.
 
I hope Atlus does the smart thing and releases day-and-date on Switch. Personally I don't have any real urge to get P3 Reload, though.
 
I know Atlus wants to milk P5. But why are they allergic to Devil Survivor? Call up IS/Nintendo and do one or TMS 2 lol.

With EO working out, I hope they dig into that smt portable well.
 
I'm kinda surprised the leak of 3 didn't mention Switch, since this doesn't look all that impressive visually to jusify that, but then again it was the same case with Soul Hackers 2, but since this is made in Unreal is even more baffling then.
I would be massivaly surprised if Tactica isn't coming to Switch though.

I mean if it is being shown by MS then that precludes any other platform being talked about for 48hrs. Much like the P5R port from last year. Given that there is a rumoured Direct sometime in July, I’m not gonna be shocked if it shows there-unless of course Atlus does another faux pas.

The presentation is lovely, looks pretty much exactly like I was hoping it would. The new character art is fantastic.

It's also nice to see that the script was at least touched up a bit. The Kenji dialogue isn't the same as it was in FES.
 
Say, these have to be called "Reloaded" and "Tactics", right? Because there was some odd language I didn't recognize in these trailers. It was mostly English, but I feel like "Reload" and "Tactica" have to be Italian or something.

The Tactica trailer got leaked in English and it’s still Tactica.

I hate saying this, but it's possible that only Tactica is on Switch. Would still warrant the tag for the article without contradicting anything.

This is not an overt reveal of information, and it certainly is incorrect to state "Gematsu is saying it's coming to PS and Switch".

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m all for it. Let’s hope they port over the PQ games now that EO classics are out.
 
I sense a repeat of last summer’s persona platform announcement limbo.

Either way, I love the look of both games! I ate good today! Only drawback is having to wait!

These both look like Switch-bound games to me, especially Tactica. It's basically Persona Q: Tactics. I will eat my shoe if it's not on Switch.

"Both games are listed as coming to Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Microsoft Store, as well as Xbox Game Pass. These are likely simply the Microsoft-branded trailers, as Gematsu understands that both games will be available across multiple platforms."

Technically "available across multiple platforms" could mean Amazon Luna, Netflix, and N-Gage. I won't be confident in either game coming to Switch is until a talking cat tells me they are in a video on Nintendo's official Youtube channel.

I mean, this will probably literally happen, lol. Lead off with Morgana introducing P5T and then go straight into the P3 trailer or something.

After watching the trailer a few times I'm a little cold on Persona 3 Reloaded, but there is still plenty of time for my opinion to turn. The thing that's irking me is the battle menu; I know the P5 style is more intuitive, but I prefer the revolver-like menu of P3.

Anyway, I'll still pick this up day one if there's a Switch release (along with P5T).

Judging from the trailer it's more Mario + Rabbids then Devil Survivor. Which is great since despite how much I enjoyed the gameplay of Mario + Rabbids I never cared for the toilet humor of the Rabbids. I would definitely take the simplified caricatures of the PQ series over that any day.

As for possible Nintendo Direct Atlus announcements my guess is if those SMT rumors pan out then I could see Nintendo gunning for the SMTIV remaster/remake reveal.

Kind of makes me wish this was Persona Q Tactita instead, would have loved having the P3 and P4 gangs included.

I would love to have a Devil Survivor 3 at some point, hell I would be happy with HD remasters of the first two games on the Switch.
 
It's still weird to me how Atlus went from "Xbox, what's that?" to full on embracing them.
Well, I guess Sega did and Atlus have to play along.
 
I like the look of that P5 Tactics game so I’ll get that on Switch, I do still have P5R and P5S on my backlog on Switch as well though haha
