Finished the main story earlier and have been playing for another 5 hours or so. Missing 10 shrines and tons of side adventures and quests. If it's anything like BotW it'll take me years due to me taking my sweet time.
If I had to sit down and compile a list of issues I have with Tears of the Kingdom I could probably come up with pages of smaller nitpicks as well as some larger problems (I still might, just for fun). Like the crazy amount of crystal shrines. Or the fact that they didn't overhaul the basic combat a bit. Or that I can't upgrade the Archaic Tunic.
And yet in the light of everything I played in those roughly 60 hours (that went by in what felt like the blink of an eye), the way the game kept surprising me throughout and how I can barely tear myself away from it... I can't see it as anything but one of my favourite games ever and a worthy successor to BotW. They took the Hyrule I knew from playing for over 140h and made me look at it with different eyes while giving me the tools to interact with it however I saw fit. There's a lot I could say to praise it but most of it would give all those smaller and bigger moments away and I think people should get to experience them themselves. I had an amazing time with it and I can't wait to see what's next, either in the form of DLC or a new game.
