I guess the closest thing was when a Direct was leaked through a picture of PC folders.

DK or 2D Mario as 2D mario is big but its still small enough to not be Flagship heavy hitter.

There was a fake paper of those that lucky guessed a lot of E3 2014. But it had Zelda Shard of Nightmare as one of the announcements lol.

Actual leak like that never happened.

So, I don't get this concept that 2D Mario is small in any way. New Super Mario Bros Wii and New Super Mario Bros on DS sold 30M units each. New Super Mario Bros 2 on 3DS sold nearly 14M. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe has sold 13M as of March 2021. A new 2D mario sale would easilyyyy sell 20M, it would be a juggernaut.

The last direct wasnt that bad but the amount of farming sims backfired, made it seem lesser. I wonder if nintendo will ever do somrthing like that again
 
I'm gonna assume the one thing they'll probably announce is the date of Wave 2 of FE Engage's DLC.

They should do a segment in the Direct about the balance changes made to characters in Ultimate since launch. You could get five minutes easy out of reductions to landing lag on aerials, better KO moves, fixing multihits, easier sweetspots, that sort of thing

I wasn’t sure if it was finally time, so i wasn’t going to click the video. Thankfully spawn-wave put his sympathetic face in the thumbnail to assure me that it was the time! Thank god sw is abiding by the algorithm, otherwise i wouldnt have watched it!

The announcement won't happen tomorrow. They won't announce it before their earnings report on Tuesday.

Why assume that the next 3D Mario game is Super Mario Odyssey 2

If Metroid Prime is shown, it will have preamble. They're not going to show Prime 1 and have people confusing it with Prime 4, or thinking we're getting Prime 1 instead of Prime 4, or anything like that.
 
Hello, there are many people talking about this leak, does anyone know where it came from? Because I can't find any source or origin of the leak.

The leak is this, does anyone know its origin?

A new Nintendo Direct is coming on February 9th:

-The presentation starts with Metroid Prime 4 with a new gameplay-cinematic trailer coming next year. Metroid Prime HD is coming too in Fall.

-Pikmin 4 shows his first Gameplay, with a New Type of Pikmin. Releases in summer.

-Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp gets a New Release Date on April 7th.

-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings And The Lost Ocean remake is announced in collaboration with Monolith Soft.

-A New Mario Baseball Game Series developed by Camelot. Releasing in June.

-A New 2D Game from Donkey Kong series releasing in Fall.

-Kirby Return to DreamLand Deluxe shows new Gameplay and presents the "Magolor Epilogue"

-The Game Vouchers are back for the Nintendo Switch Online members.

-The Next Wave for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass with Amsterdam Drift, Singapore Speedway and more. The Wave 4 releases in March.

-New DLC Xenoblade 3 content is announced too.

-A recap from previous games announced like Hogwarts Legacy, Tales of Symphonia, Octopath Traveler II and more.

-Silksong shows in the recap but still with a "2023" release date.

-At the end, a Zelda section. Starts with Aonuma on stage, annoncing new Amiibos, new Switch OLED and finally a 3 min trailer with lore and gameplay, release date on May 12th
