I don't know how I feel about people sending stuff to the mods there after "Primed and Ready".
But then again, leave it to Metroid to be the ONE time when person whose track record is only leaking stuff that is happening within a few days, only to have a month pass by with nothing.

Primed and Ready is on the level of "No Major Titles" in terms of being hot air based on what we already know lmao

The Redenbacher brand is now owned by Conagra...Contra? Contra farming game?
Orville Redenbacher popcorn products include 'movie theater butter' flavour...Viewtiful Joe?? Persona Q3???
They also sell ultimate butter flavour. Fighters Pass 3????
Conagra are also currently hiring for several roles...might this include game development roles for an original Orville Redenbacher Switch game?

Sounds like a pretty good Direct to me.

I can’t imagine what would be considered proof of a Nintendo direct, except maybe the entire direct video. Or the tried and true blurry photo screenshot or a printed list of games to be shown.
 
Looks like the smoke and rumours are continuing lol. Anyway next week is looking very likely, at least compared to the following weeks. Should be hype, also finally February is soon

literally all I wanted was anything but next week. it's going to be next week.

there are 52 weeks in a year, but let's focus on the roughly 17 weeks from January to April. On paper I had tremendous odds. 16:17, 94%! but those six percent were the Direct week, as it always must be.

no one has taken such a tremendous blow in a Direct thread on Famiboards, possibly ever. I placed my hopes on the wrong 16 weeks. I was a fool, and I hope that you all learn something from me.

what I've learned? to embrace the routine, the usual, the banal. not everything needs to be a fun mystery to distract me from the crushing reality of my life. sometimes a commercial just happens when it's best to do a commercial. to depend upon the excitement of a corporate marketing schedule to cope with your sad existence is to sign away your happiness to the crushing pragmatism of shareholders.

furthermore, consistency is good. it is safe, it is comforting. had I never engaged with this thread as I originally intended to I likely would've been amused by it being the exact same day as last year, and pleasantly relieved that I hadn't had any need to follow the speculation at all.

so, that's the other lesson, and it's the one I hope to share with you: follow your heart and trust your instincts. to be saddened by the predictability of corporate advertising is a very weird and deeply disturbing psychological obstacle, but I doubt that even the most well adjusted among you has never doubted a truth that came from within. when your spirit tells you something, in my case not to bother with a speculation thread for a mass marketing showcase, you should listen! don't be tempted by habit or misled by second thoughts. when you feel conviction about something you need to do for your mental health, do it! whatever it may be. I believe in you, and despite it all I choose to believe in myself. the next time I am at a crossroads, I won't be led astray. don't let yourselves me led astray either.
 
Next week makes lots of sense for a Direct based on recent patterns. That said, that Reddit “leak” is basically worthless since it literally contains no reason to believe it.
 
As much as I would have loved the direct to be tomorrow, I wouldn't have been able to watch it live anyway lol next week seems more likely for me to be able to watch it live so bring it on lol

Direct on the 7th is a safe guess at this point, but the gamingleaks mods don't post stuff like that often and I imagine they're decent at assessing evidence.

Good evidence for next week but it's just more smoke unless the mods say or share what they were given.
 
That line about successor plans and Chinese manufacturers makes me believe it less lmao

This direct may be on the same date as it was last February, doesn’t mean Nintendo is now predictable.

Pffft. I mean, it's such a "no shit" when it comes to guessing the date, that it's probably a correct guess, anyway.

It means Nintendo has barely started talking to Chinese manufacturers about manufacturing the successor.
 
I'm curious as to what the nature of the "proof" is. Clearly the mods have seen something that made them share this, even if they can't verify it. My guess is it's something like a copy of a press release which is technically easy to fake but also difficult to disprove until the date in question passes.

This might be the North American Direct date. Most of us are going to hear about the earnings as we wake up on the 7th, but will be waiting until the evening to actually watch the show
 
I knew it.

I can not currently confirm, nor deny, just what it is that I knew, but rest assured I knew it all along.
