I've always thought speculation about what would be shown is endlessly more interesting than "speculate what day a direct will be with basically no information at hand". It was fun the first time it happened on the old place with the "reset the clocks" meme, culminating in the Chibi-Robo on fire tweet from Nintendo, but every time since has just felt like people kinda trying to force the magic of that again, at least in a way, though I guess it can be a little fun.
If there is going to be speculation on this I'd prefer we have some kind of certainty so there's always a small chance they buck the trend (like now, it's technically possible they skip the February Direct for a March one, however unlikely).
