mask is a little raggedy and tape-y but it’s been eons since I’ve done a bonafide craft so I’m pretty pleased overall

this is a Hollow Knight character but it could potentially a spoiler even if you’ve reached certain endings of the game, so if you want the reference photos, lemme know and I’ll spoiler tag them for you

Yes, this is unfortunately the case. For now, you you'll need to stack the bbcodes like this

Sometimes we find ourselves becomeing what we thought we'd never be. For instance, I'm currently enjoying a Dragon Quest game. I'm even stopping every so often to dig through the DQ wiki so I can learn more context for what's going on. I feel a little dirty about it, and the me from 10 years ago would be turning his nose up at present me but hey, it's all part of the journey.

SMTV's release date means I have 11 days to finish this Fire Emblem playthrough.

In terms of what Nintendo could show at the Game Awards this year, there are now 3 major candidates that would be very exciting, as well as a good fit for the audience, and they've all been mentioned here:

  • Zelda
  • Metroid Prime
  • Goldeneye NSO

Those are all a perfect fit for the audience. Given Nintendo have used TGA for Zelda trailers and Smash fighters, it's clear they're comfortable using it for big news. I do think another possibility is a third party exclusive, or timed exclusive, and Resident Evil Outrage might align with that, though it'd be exciting to get a complete unknown.

But I've just had an idea that I'm going to throw into the ring: Geoff invites three special guests onto the stage to make a major reveal for Nintendo Switch. It's Shigeru Miyamoto... with Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy! They're proud to present the trailer for a new game that'll help to make 2022 a big year for Super Mario.

It's whatever the next mainline Mario title is, of course, but I don't know if that's the 3D title in the works in Tokyo or the 2D title in the works in Kyoto. Leaning towards the former.
 
I would not expect too much of the game awards. The last couple of years the Nintendo reveals were pretty minor in my opinion. Best to go in with low expectations.

I know I have been saying this before but it feels like I need to scream this into the void at least once a month by now.

I really, REALLY want Xenoblade 3. I don't know what it is... I usually am content with the video games I have available at any given time(because lbr, there are too many anyways). I get excited about new releases, but I rarely want a game enough to randomly think about it when it doesn't even have a release date (let alone an official announcement in this case) yet. The last time I wanted a game this much was BOTW, and even then that only really started to become this apparent to me after the Januaty 2017 trailer after which I had a legitimate date to look forward to.

I think it might be because I played Xenoblade 2 at a very painful time in my real life and the game provided an excellent escape from the bleakness of reality, if only a few hours at a time. Not that the game was happy-go-lucky but it did feel like I was in control of something, when I wasn't in control at all in real life.

I am in a similar situation like back then right now. Things are shitty and it's not a situation I can do anything about. It's sit, wait and hope and it makes you feel pretty powerless. Since I subconsciously connect an escape from that with Xenoblade 2, that might be why I want 3 so much.

This went dark. Lol Sorry, I don't mean to bring down the mood. I am fine in day-to-day life. We all have these phases in life where you think everyone and everything has it out for you and your loved ones. It passes...

I'm enjoying Mario Party Superstars for the Nintendo Switch family of systems very much. Online is superb.

Just impulsively purchased DMC 3. Never played it before, but seems to be a decent hack and slash game. The digital version is on sale at Gamestop for $4.49, which is quite a bit better than the low of $11.99 that it will go down to on the eShop.

So Mario party superstars is brilliant - I love how it saves progress of your games ( even though it doesn’t explain how this works) and you can actually play with other profiles by selecting them in multiplayer. And it also saves individual progress and stats fit each profile.

I also love 51 worldwide games and understand this is by the same developer.

My question is - am I being dim or can you only play multiplayer on a single switch with guests? Stats for and against?

If I’m not being dim could there be patched in?

Ultimately that's just engagement as far as Nintendo goes. NSO videos tend to get more dislikes than likes. If NSO upgrade numbers are weak, they'll either add more DLC to entice or they might try a few monthly updates to fill out Expansion Pack catalog more, they won't be doing any price drops or mid tiers.

100,000 dislikes versus however many millions of upgraded subs they get, ultimately.

Doesn't help that legitimate issues were drowned out by hyperbole and in some cases outright fake information (e.g. the Ocarina crashes). I'm all for Nintendo improving the N64 emulation and the broader online offering, sure, but rampant, hyperactive negativity won't achieve anything in the long run other than continuing to poison gaming discourse.
 
The re-upload of the normal NSO overview trailer from April has 70k dislikes.



It's ultimately relatively meaningless.

NSO expansion pack will get more and more value over time for the same price, like base NSO got, and people will eventually stop thinking about it.
I do understand that it's expensive for many people though. But I don't think it was ever realistic to expect it at a lesser price given the parties involved.

I think the EP is hot garbage but I don’t think it’s gonna affect anything, unless it sensibly underperform and I doubt we will ever know.
