I’m excited for that Smash presentation on Tuesday… not for the fighter (It won’t be Ichiban from Yakuza so I do NOT care) but for the Mii costumes!

What’s to stop some third party manufacturer from making a new back-plate for a standard non-OLED switch that gives it a similar-to-OLED kickstand

It'd probably be pretty bulky. From what little I've seen of the Switch OLED internals, it's got some pretty serious hinges.

Speaking of presentations airing in October, all I want out of the Animal Crossing one is gyroids and another upgrade to the general store, then I'll start playing it again for the first time since, oh, January.

Damn there are over 60 people still awaiting approval for account creation
All of them are from outside the beta team
Excited to see how populated this forum gets over the next few weeks

Edit: two days and 600 new members later we had to temporarily cut off registration. Wow. Really excited to see how many people join and how much our servers can handle

Those are probably what I'm expecting but I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope for more lol I really miss the island from New leaf. We spent a lot of time playing the island tours and hunting rare bugs in the open area. I really like new Horizons but when my partner and I play together we just kind of poke and prod each other's towns but it doesn't feel like there's good activities to do together, I'd really like something like that. Excited anyway!

I honestly don't think they've shown off that much outside of the early game

Oh, worth noting a lot of you guys are posting feedback and that's sweet. Be sure to post it in the feedback thread so it doesn't get missed or on the discord. We're tracking bugs and such to fix.

That's a good thing. Best to capitalize while there's momentum behind it. It helps that we had a huge head start from Dopply and Bellydrum knowing what they're doing and the kind folks who threw some money at it.

If it'd taken months to launch this in some form who knows what the participation would've been like.

Hello Nintendo OT thread at FamiBoards. I thought I start off with Bob Wulff's impressions of the OLED model.


  • He notices the display on his unit has a green hue.
  • His fingernails easily bent the bottom air vents. Although it's not major, it's noticeable.
  • He thinks the OLED model's speakers sound exactly the same as the Nintendo Switch's speakers, quality wise, except a bit louder.
The video also shows why I detest glossy plastic.
