Damn it looks like I missed some good shit. I go away for a few hours to actually enjoy life and that's when the thread gets interesting? What the hell folks? We need to schedule these things better.

come february first I'm switching to team april

Only then will you find enlightenment

Alright everyone, I'm getting ready for bed. You all don't post anything interesting while I'm sleeping. Just continue your sad Team January vs. Team February vs. Team March debate for next 8-9 hours. No one post anything interesting until I wake up, showered, and had a proper breakfast.

been thinking what Gameboy games should get remakes and honestly all the the Mario/Wario land gameboy games should be remade

The mostly likely option.

The Sword and Shield expansion pass was announced in early January, instead of Pokemon day. I wouldn't be surprised if Scarlet and Violet follow suit.
Omg
I thought it was Pokémon day but I just googled it was like the 6th or 7th or something. Hopefully they won’t wait until Feb 27 then, I want news earlier hehe

I've pledged my allegiance, but my team is not one pertaining to any specific month in particular. No... my team is instead far more concerned with anticipating the end of a years long journey, whenever it may come. A team of dreamers, of believers. Of copers, malders, and cringers (but in an endearing way!)

It's my team, and I'll rep it proudly.

I leave this place for FIVE MINUTES and you all start a big fight??

That’s it. You’re grounded. No Direct for you until April.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII / XV was the worst for me. I was in middle school when it was announced and I graduated both high school and college and still had to wait years to play the final game. At least after college there was like five demos I played: Duscae, Duscae 2.0, Titan (Comic Con), Platinum, one other show demo. I forget which.
Jesus, large hype circles can be painful.
Breath of the Wild 1 was the game I was thirsty for every drop of info from the moment it was revealed at E3 2014 until it got released... And only got to actually play the game in late 2021 when I finally bought my Switch lol.
Bayonetta 3 tho I played just under 2 months after launch but was there hyping since the reveal teaser at TGA 2017. Completely wild.
You know, i know it won't happen because games take time to develop, but I would really laugh if we managed to get another 2D Metroid before Prime 4 comes out.

Also, it's obvious why Prime 4 has been stuck in development hell: 4 isn't a PRIME number!

I'm sorry I'll leave now.
God forbid 😰 unless it's like a Samus Returns port coming this year already.
But I believe chances are high we can have a new 2D Metroid the year after Prime 4 comes out(Dread came out 4 years after Samus Returns, 2025 is 4 years after Dread, not impossible).

We are so close one way or the other! First half of the year we’ll see this finally, maybe even play it.

In 2017, besides Breath of the Wild, the reason I wanted a Switch was for Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4. Probably more for those two than Breath of the Wild.

... We all know how that turned out :(

In the prediction thread I think I predicted an Animal Crossing party game from NDcube and I still think that will happen haha. Although, I'll never ever say no to Mario Party game even if that means being unsatisfied with no DLC lmao.
I always thought we’d get an AC spin off last year.. guess not. Here’s hoping for one this year! Idm if it’s a party game or not tho. I feel if they did party it’d automatically flop based on how BAD amiibo festival was, but when I think about it, I don’t know what other spin off they could do
upon further consideration im updating my 2023 predictions a bit

January- FE Engage
February- Kirby RTDL DX
March- Bayo Origins
April- MK8 DLC and Style Savvy
May- Zelda TotK
June- Mario Sluggers and Splat 3 DLC
July- MK8 DLC and Prime HD
August- Big Xenoblade DLC and F-Zero GX remaster
September- Mario Party and Grezzo's Jet Dragon
October- Pikmin 4
November- Pokemon DLC and DK
December- MK8 DLC
Pokémon DLC in June too, I’d assume they’ll split it in 2 halves to fill out the year like they did with SWSH then sell it as an all in one package for holiday 2023
Is there any insider info going around? I remember in June we pretty much had insiders knowing the exact date. Is everything quiet atm?
Spyro 4 in development got debunked
Not sure if anyone really cares about that or if it’s just me 😭
Not really Nintendo related anyway
I'd like this to be true. Apart from the odd Salmon Run splurge, I've dropped off Splatoon 3 a little. I also think it's a little too soon for paid content to be confirmed and that might wait for E3.
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure they already confirmed paid DLC in the big Splatoon 3 Direct

I really hope Retro can impress me with their work on Prime 1. The game is mostly closed off, smaller areas, so there’s heaps of room for detail.

Is this gif from dolphin with better effects and textures?

But next week is it ND or metroid?

Said it before, Metroid Prime and Retro’s return deserves a big show. I had hoped it would be part of a hardware reveal, and now I’m at least hoping it’s part of an eventful Direct - perhaps one that also previews MP4 for the first time?

yeah i see, and what better way to highlight them than a direct nintendo right 👀

But The marmolade seemed to say that the 2 will be separated right? but it's impossible it's either metroid ad or nd

It sounds so absurd to me that Nintendo would drop a Metroid Prime remaster announcement on Twitter. Nothing should surprise me after the last few years tho - they’re nothing if not unpredictable

when has Necro been accurate in the past, particularly pertaining to first-party reveals and Nintendo Direct timing? To me this seems like him jumping on the possibility that marmolade’s posts = something next week. It’s either speculation or piggybacking

Everybody 1-2 Switch announcement next week. Nintendo preparing to shart it out at the end of the fiscal year.

That or Goldeneye release date confirmation.

I didn't say that specific ban was wrong because there was no rule for it. The point is, something that specific should have a rule associated with it to dissuade people from doing it in the first place

Can someone post the translation of what Necro said?

I feel like the Koei Tecmo game announcement this month thingey is being overlooked. That's the most solid info pointing to something happening for me. Of course the other bits of info and rumours are a all stacking up as well. It feels like a lot more than last year. I'm currently on the hype train for next week. If not then, then the last week of January, as FE week is a no go. And if that last week isn't the case either, we'll be close to February anyway and there is always a direct early Feb.

On the point of Nintendo being predictable though, I concur that the Feb direct last year was seen coming from miles away. The fall direct was also relatively predictable, because of few places where it could fit in, yet there was still some uncertainty whether they would actually announce it for a different time slot than usual. The chaos and disappointment of no E3 direct and a partner direct later was pretty dang unpredictable if you ask me, I feel like people forgot that.
